In this DCS World Simulator video I'm in the F16 Viper trying out the Viper TQS by @THRUSTMASTERofficial , Thanks to Thrustmaster for sending me the throttle to review. Hope you guys enjoy!
I love playing simulators, I started with Arma 3 and then I saw DCS World. I also enjoy War Thunder , Battlefield , Ghost recon, Squad , Rome total war, Microsoft Flight Simulator and more. I also enjoy World War II games including il-2 In DCS World i found all the jets that i wanted to fly in a simulator the F 16 Viper , FA 18 Hornet , F 15 Eagle , A 10 Warthawg , SU 27 , Mig 29 , P 51 , Spitfire , AH 64 Apeche , Heuy and more... And if you will download MODs the options are endless: F 22 Raptor, SU 57 , A 4 Skyhawk , SR 71 Blackbird , Rafale, Gripen and the list goes on.
My PC Specs:

When the F16 forst went into service, "INTUITIVE" was the word the pilots used for the controls.
Hey long shot, Rags here. I really loved the tutorial on the thrustmaster throttle base and controls. For the F-16 My only issue is I have aerial nerve palsy from a pinched nerve in my neck down my left shoulder arm and hand. So everything is muscle memory. Taking me a while for the f-18 TB to get used to that. I noticed you have to pull down for the detent. I don't think I'll be able to manage, but I believe everybody else will really love it. Palsy is kicking in on my right hand where it starts to shake so at times I'm unable to play but when I am sometimes I have to put rubber bands around my wrist in the joystick to minimize the shaking from time to time. Thank you for having me on your discord. Please keep being yourself. I believe that is the attraction not someone trying to be something they're not. That was an excellent preview of what experience in a thrustmaster F-16 can do. Take care my friend. PS I am an Old Navy rotor head so I'm kind of biased but I need to get in the f16. I worn out the 14 and 18 already and all the usa. Helos lol. Just keep on a ROCKIN' 😎👊
Give it six months and a mod could come out for this. It looks possible from the design.
It may not be as exiting to watch, but I find the ultimate test of precision for any new gear is air-to-air refueling. It's the first thing I try after I get a new stick or throttle. I figure if it's precise enough for that, then everything else will be fine.

I love everything you put out! When I buy my PC and gear, ill see what you recommend! Keep it up, and maybe do a dogfight with it in view so we can see your movements!
I like my Thrustmaster Warthog. Only reason to get this is if you have a DCS/flight sim room dedicated for single engine jets ect.
I bought the WinWing Orion 2 base and with that I can add and remove the various throttle handles without having to buy a whole new base..... I have the F-16, F-15e, F-18 throttle handles and just swap them as needed to the same exact base.

i still own a Cougar (with the TSUBA USB plug) and I just upgraded to the winwing TQS. seems better but i just dont like the HAT on the RANGE knob
FYI you have to be in TWS mode (not RWS) mode to lock more than 1 target at a time (You were in RWS mode). Also you can hit the expand MFD button at top and expand the view when you have multiple targets close to each other
I dont know about the real jet, but you are incorrect. I can lock few targets in RWS and switch between them menualy. And I used the expend. You can tell by the big squer showing up.
Incorrect you can lock two targets in rws. Pilots actually didn’t like to use tws because it was not reliable.

You make it look so easy 🤤I have so many USAF assets. I really need to get started. The F-16 frm TM seems to have a short Throw. I'm just concerned about my Palsy issues, especially when AA/RF🤔 I see your having to reach under the Throw of your Throttle during certain times. I believe my 1st AF Aircraft will be the F-16 It has great Attribute's that no other has. I probably have only 5min. From TO to an F-15 was under 90 sec. That was Awesome. No he was not aware of the Tally LOL TNX LongShot, Keep on a ROCKIN'

Hey Longshot, if you can I had an idea for next video. The camera view for HOTAS HAVE CAMERA positioned behind throttle and also another camera behind stick would be pretty cool footage.
They say LS can crush walnuts like peanuts with that hand.
Have they fixed the issue where putting the throttle position to idle in DCS isn't recognized?
I have the WinWing version of this which seems much better and modeled perfectly to the real F-16 (and solid metal materials as opposed to tons of plastic in the Thrustmaster). Be curious if you plan on comparing the two. I paid just over $200 for the WinWing and Orion 2 bundle which seems a much better deal with much better quality (more metal and much more solid) and way more buttons and dials on the base that align to the F-16 (and other planes). I do use the F-16 Thrustmaster stick though....just not the throttle. AND you can swap the throttle handle only out if you want to swap between planes without having to buy a whole new base like you do with the Thrustmaster.
I agree about the price, that's clear, but apart from the plastic structure and the panel, everything else (throttle, most of the panel buttons, throttle arms) is metal.
What's more, the Winwing may look the part, but it doesn't reproduce an F16 throttle perfectly, whereas Thrustmaster's does (notably with the black switch behind the throttle, the flare panic button, and above all the thumbwheel that's not under the frequency cross).
To put it plainly, it's ultra-reductive to confine the TQS to a plastic product, bearing in mind that it's still a Thrustmaster product, and therefore at least as well-made as the Winwing, which I'd remind you has to be assembled yourself, with exposed cables, and which has to be adjusted.
Can you please confirm if your TARGET software see your new TQS? Thrustmaster doesn’t seem to update the TARGET and the box tell is TARGET compatible. Mine doesn’t see the new TQS. I only use my HOTAS with TARGET combined profile and I love that

But you align the mavs before, right? Because mavs are a nightmare in f-16 without aligning...
