Was looking through my old mp3 player today, and a flood of memories came back after I hadn't heard this song in forever.. Wow, completely forgot how popular this song of theirs was, it was everywhere. I remember fondly playing it everyday on the bus in 8th grade and getting home & watching AMV's titled "NEW 3DG SONG!! This is without a doubt one of the best Three Days Grace songs ever. Breaking away from the toxic people in life and taking yourself to a better environment is one of the healthiest things one can do. This conveys that message perfectly with one of the best performances the band has ever done. Break is truly something special.

I know nobody cares about this but I want to share my story:
I use to listen to this song when I was 7/8 while crying because I was getting abused by my mom's boyfriend, I hated every single second of my life, but this song was very comforting because it gave me hope, my mom made me stop listening to this song bc she didn't liked it, well it's been almost 9 years, I remembered this song by accident and I'm literally crying by all the memories this brought back. I am now 16 and, even tho life is still hard, I can say that I brought myself to higher places.
Edit: I am 17 now!! Life's getting harder, but just one year before I can get a real job, save money and move, I'll finally have the life I want, I am very excited.
I feel bad for you, maybe this song helped you that much because you needed to BREAK away from everybody
I used to listen to this when I was like 9, and boy this helped me a lot. My mom had got a new husband after just breaking up with my father, he would try to sexually assault me. And when I was listening to my favorite kind of music (rock) I stumbled upon this very song! And just like you, it gave me hope that thing would get better. I am 15 1/2 now and my mother divorced that horrible man she wanted me to call 'dad', and I too can say, I brought myself to higher places.

He literally changes his hair almost every album. In the album Three Days Grace, it was all shaggy except the song I Hate Everything About You because he had a Mohawk. In the album One X, he looks like he's trying to cover one of his eyes, in this album he has it long, in Transit of Venus I don't know what to say about that haircut. It looks the same as the Saint Asonia album from when he moved on to a different band, though.

In a way this tipe of music depresses you more but I get what you mean and Everyone cry on their way
They aren't necessarily wrong. What you listen to implants messages into your subconscious which runs on modes that loop over and over until you BREAK it. But that takes time. I love TDG but listening to them a lot over and over will keep you in a depressed state especially if you are identifying with the music

This song gave me the courage to transfer out of a shitty position I have at work. Now I'm doing ok and making more than what I did previously.
Oddly this song starts and ends with the intro and ending of “Someone Who Cares”. I feel like this is saying that these songs are connected. You have them outside the boxes hearing and feeling “Someone Who Cares” but entering the boxes with “Break”. Saying that they have a miserable meaningless lonely life and are now trying to break away from it and be happy. They had enough and now are going to change what they see is wrong in their life. This entire album really is connected. I can go on on how this entire album, “No More”, “World So Cold” “The Good Life”, “Life Starts Now”

this band played such a big part in my exposure to rock music, the impact Adam Gontier's vocals have on me still to this day is actually insane. so glad i revisited this song after such a long time. so much nostalgia.

I’m from Ireland and I’ve heard that some people on the east coast of Canada, particularly in Newfoundland, St John etc, do actually have something of an Irish accent..but I don’t think that’s where Adam is from..
Saw this a long time on tv. When i was about 4 or 5. So it was either 2008 or 2009. This was my first favorite song and band. But i also really liked acdc and metallica and megadeth at the time. Still liking the same jams that my dad showed me when i was a little dude. And now i like much more music and i intend to make my own one day
