- The Range Rover Sport HST is here with something ALL NEW. Under the hood is a 3.0L turbocharged inline-6 w/ 48-volt hybrid system producing 400 HP & mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. On the inside you will find 21st century technology and top shelf quality materials. Does the 2019 Ranger Rover Sport bring enough performance and luxury for the price?

I think this is the sweet spot of the Range Rover line up. 👌
I totally agree with you Steve!
I think the Range Rover Sport SVR is the sweet spot.
@@DexxonGamer77 some of us don't leave powerful cars alone and honestly it's pointless to modify and daily driver a 6-700hp SVR. I would daily this car and feel like a boss allday
Great job on your reviews! You’ve become my fav reviewer☺️

My dream SUV Joe, this one is 🔥
Dimmit!!! That thing scoots for being such a big ride. Very good looking as well. Only complaint is the exhaust and all that plastic under the hood which you mentioned. Have a good weekend everybody.
Brilliant balanced enthusiastic review but where criticism of certain finishes it is totally justified . I love the Sport, it retains the compact dimensions of the first Range Rover of which model my father had one of the first supplied in the UK in 1970. If I had kept it I could have bought a new Sport with the cash and several motorbikes!
This was 5 years ago now you can pick one of these bad boys up for 38k
Im still happy with my 2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Arden boasting over 200,000 miles on it .
Steve Overstreet How many problems have you had over the course of 200 K miles? We’ve really been considering buying a new sport but are a little apprehensive after reading about so many people complaining about The Rovers living in the shop and we live 200 miles away from the nearest dealer
@@heily-3806 Only major problems were air compressor on suspension I upgraded it and AC compressor had to replace gone thru a lot of brakes and rotors which is normal other than that I love mine .
@@steveo3589 Hey Steve I have a 2009 RR Sport love it have just over 100k. The suspension lights have been coming on an off for several month(yellow and red warning lights). Is that what was happening to you? Saw the part on Ebay for $400
Beautiful SUV!!! Luv the color, seats, etc...When you said guess the $$$, i guessed $125,000....It's a distinctive vehicle and worth every penny of $93,000!!!...Thanks Joe, I was drooling from start to end. There's SUV's & then there's SUV'S! This monster is for the MAN who has accomplished the American dream & wants to reward himself! I Wish you could have taken us on a more scenic journey. That Florida scene is gettin old bro! Would love to take a road trip in that bad-boy even as a passenger in the backseat!!!

My boyfriend didn't tell me about his cars and one time we had a date he came with this one and I am too small for thw sit i always slides down 😅. What i really like about this car is that it has this stair that helps me go up the car easily without hassle. I'm not as long legged as my bf 😂. i love him with or without his luxury cars anyway. ❤️ God bless every one and may we all have a blessed new year! 😍
Just incredible Joe, I remember I commented on 1 of your videos about u showing this car, and u did it. Thanks Joe.
I totally remember that Jay! I really try to bring you guys what you really want to see!
Great review. I can't wait for my delivery of the HST next month. 💃🏾💃🏾
You are going to love it Angelo!
His Royal Highness Prince William (with entourage) visited my neighbourhood in a pair of Range Rovers (Autobiography Spec) back in Jan 2018. The royal households run a fleet of Range Rovers too ferry them between train platforms or helicopter landing pads.
19:22 G35. If you ever review more older cars in the future it would be cool to see your thoughts on G35 Coupes, 3rd Gen Acura TLs, 3rd Gen Trans Ams, Ferrari Testarossa and F40.
Love you videos. Great energy, in depth reviews, excellent content.
Thank you so much for saying that and letting me share my passion with you!
man these cars are soo good that people forget considering about the reliability when buying one!
Would absolutely love to see a SVR Land Rover Range Rover. Thanks Joe.
I will try to track that down for you!
Amusing to see the comments about the price of the Range Rover. This is a vehicle for residents of upscale suburbs like the Hamptons, or Rye, New York, and Marin County, California. It's meant to be parked on Rodeo Drive and filled with purchases from the boutiques that adorn that LA neighborhood.
If you have to prioritize your purchases between a vehicle and remodeling your kitchen, the Range Rover (along with other luxury SUV's) isn't meant for you. If you, like 99+% of consumers, didn't get a significant benefit from the 2017 Trump tax cuts, you're not in the target market. If you're not a surgeon or a hedge fund manager, look elsewhere. In fact, if you even glance at the window sticker when you're shopping for a car, you're not a potential customer for the Range Rover HST. And if you think Elizabeth Warren's plan to tax fortunes over $50 million with a 2% wealth tax wouldn't affect you, you should probably consider a KIA Telluride.
Man, you laid it out perfectly in your comment!
Actually it’s not worth the price because it breaks down and my time is money dumbass
@@RaitisRides whats the name of the color
Sam J it doesn’t break down. If your time was worth money than you wouldn’t buy a shit one, or a used one. I’ve owned a few and never had one break down.
4:51 Sorry, but this model is not the "top dog, most power you're going to get." The "Top Dog" with the most power in the Range Rover Sport line is the SVR (575 HP) followed by the V8 Supercharged (518 HP). You should do reviews of those.
Thanks Felipe I appreciate that. I was talking about the hybrid setup! I will get one of the SVR models together.
Raiti's Rides Gotcha! It’s a good review you did though :-) Do the V8 first!!! I’m awaiting the delivery of mine so I have a vested interest.
It they had one in stock I would of been all over it!
This is a more appealing RR Sport than the previous V6 model but I hope it's also more reliable to be considered worth it
it's not that's the problem
@@robertsaladino The problem I've had with RR is more on the electronics than mechanicals LR can't figure out this perennial problem
Thank you Brits. We don't know why you eat snails but you make Range Rovers.
I think that would be the French that eat snails(escargot)
@@LS1007 Dudn't matter too much to me But hey, you might be right.
Indians took over that's why they great now and sales went up..
The back part of the seat is to protect from children kicking the seat, and it also provides more knee room. Also what does it matter if that part is covered in leather anyway? It's also silly when you complain about the bottom door pocket not being covered in leather.
Let's zonk him for that
This is awesome. Almost perfect, besides a few things, often agree with what you point out. I have no problem with the Range Rover emblems on the hood and rear hatch, especially in black, but I do not like any vehicle exhaust port with a pipe inside, instead of it being an actual exhaust tip. What's up with that? Stahp it!
The back of the front seats is fine since it has dual msp pockets, maybe good to protect the seatbacks, but if plain backs, maybe covered in leather. And those removal ke plugs in the rear of the center console.
The level of engineering, design and refinement, with intuitive ergonomics and aesthetics is incredible, and the stellar performance, refinement, and fluidity of the build. I always liked the Range Rovers, especially the newer ones, even more so now, if it were a perfect world, but I have come to realize I have to use much more scrutiny, discernment, and discrimination for considering a car for myself, or recommending one, by noting the caveats.
In the real world, even the most expensive, well made vehicles may not be an advantage over a more common mainstream affordable one.
With all the advancement with technology, high end cars can continue costing you mucho dinero as they get older, especially if it's not the traditional wear and tear of vehicles of old, but the breakdown of cheap materials used to cut cost, and all the electronics and sophisticated, complex systems new cars, especially advances expensive cars have. Even more so if they have unknown problematic issues like several Range Rovers and others have had. Sometimes it's specific vehicle issues and not the whole line of models. One thing to always consider. Do your research and such. If you have lots if resources, use it for business, and maybe don't drive them everyday, the problems may not be frequent. Msybe a consideration to lease vehicles like this, particularly if you have a business and can write it off on taxes.
jjacob25101 nice write up. Don’t like the Range Rover ver lettering in black on dark coloured paints, disappears and it’s not legible.
@@scottsc63edwards86 I tend to like monochrome, black or gunmetal lettering, especially on Sport oriented trim levels of vehicles, but yes, they should have some visibility. I know for years, some people have used dark color, or color keyed reflective 3M material for lettering and such, like police and emergency vehicles that are subdued, but clearly visible when light shines on them.
Wish you tested the gearbox in Sport mode
Congratulations, you made it back to the dealership without breaking down.
I totally see what you did there!
Excellent detailed review.
However, a $93,000 SUV?
I would rather have a $50,000 Ford Explorer Limited and invest $43,000 in a house, lol
Craig Catapano with that. A 50k suv? Maybe a 06 crv for 9000 and invest 41 in a house ?
The interior is clean and luxurious.
You can say that again!
does it have ambient lighting?
I love that Range Rover Sport HST 👍👍👍
For me the advantage of buying a cheaper car, I don't care if/when someone dings it. With this, i'd go insane.
I totally agree with you!
I was hoping would say “zonk” when you mentioned about the Range Rover logo on the front hood and back hatch, lol
hell yeah brother zonk it all I really think they listen to ur zonks, great job Joe king of the hill god bless
I bought my wife a 2019 RR sport and we love it we take it on long trips all the time, in the center console there is a compartment below the cup holders, there is also compartments below arm rest on doors, im sure this model comes with them.

As usual another great review.
I can't stand the rear cup holders. I feel they should have done a style i wish Land Rover would have chose to put the cup holders in the front of the rear armrests.
Other than that everything else is great.

It’s great as long as you don’t want to keep it one day beyond the warranty!
I totally agree with you Steve!
I'm thinking on buying one are they really that bad do they breakdown alot?
Andres Catelan
Look at any auto publication which ranks every car made including luxury brands. It’s a super high end SUV. It’s the father of this segment. All modern SUV originated with the British RR.
Very high end materials and there is NOTHING else on the road that looks like a RR.
Having said that it’s got a terrible reliability record. Land Rover offers one of the shortest warranty’s on the market for exactly this reason.
It’s not only unreliable but it’s a fortune to repair. It makes BMW and Merc seem like a bargain to repair.
The best way to own a RR is to lease one. It’s covered and you give it back just when you need to start to worry.
If you have the money and don’t care about the cost to own a RR then knock yourself out. It’s a great looking machine.
I own a 2019 Cayenne S which is the same class but Porsche is a reliable car company. It’s outdoes all the other Germans in reliability. It’s not as stunning as the RR but I can drive it for years without worry.
Again see the reliability scores from the auto publication world. No one gives RR a good score.
@@miketheman4341 Thank u so much will b looking @ escalade atleat to if breaks down it's much cheaper to repair u have a blessed day brother

It’s cheaper to repair but it’s only average on the reliability scale. Still it American so it’s much less expensive to maintain.
As always u never mentioned the MPG, or snow the backup camera neither the key fob.
If you're buying this car.. mpg shouldn't be an issue😉
Bro, do you have Google? Cuz you're acting like you don't have Google. Don't be so helpless
Shane Fleming no one cares about that lol
zonk on the plastic behind the seat, it should be carbon fiber
No way, the new Lincoln Aviator looks way better on design and same horsepower at 400 , but I do love the design of rims.

Maybe it's me. You didn't make yourself clear on the exhaust tips. Are they fake(zonk)or not?
Who the hell is gonna be dumping skittles and Doritos in the cubbys of a $100k Range Rover
Someone with the money and skittles.
I think it is my dream car
I am so glad that i could share it with you!
I thought the "top dog" was the SVR with 575HP
I was referring to the hybrid model.
Please don't ever refer it as a Top Dog without the SVR or SV in the Range Rover. 😉
What is the on road price ?
Nice review! I wish it came with colored LED lighting throughout the car
Do you mean the spot lights around the car or the ambient lighting?
I have the 2018 Toyota Camry and some folks talk about the fake vents on the front of the Xse and on the rear of the Xse model, hell a lot of these car manufactures are doing the fake vent thing but they look good!
Awesome review. Yes please sprinkle in these “above the average guy” priced vehicles.
"we tend to forget about British brands" that's always been accompanied by very good reasons... 🤣
It is not a British brand bro google it .it's belongs to Ratan tata who is the owner of this land rover and jaguar .Ratan tata belongs to india
I'm only at 1 min...and I see😱 Trackhawak/srt8 got this👏.....
Curious as to why you don't like emblems? lol
cbass Lol. I think he just likes them recessed. It is a pain when washing etc to not catch the emblem but I don’t think that’s his reason lol
The leather is as soft as new baby's butt, Joe you cracked me up. 😂 😂
Talk about the steering wheel if it’s numb or heavy. Please you make great reviews but you almost never talk about the steering wheel just how it looks.
Can i get this with 600 credit line and 10g down? Lease
