- The Sport SVR is Ranger Rover's high performance SUV. For 2021 the Carbon Edition takes it to the next level. Under the full carbon fiber hood is a 5.0L supercharged V8 that produces 575HP & mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. On the outside besides the carbon fiber hood you will find, 24in Forgiato wheels, SVO custom paint, and carbon fiber accents. On the inside you will be greeted to a high end interior with special carbon fiber, leather and Alcantara. Is the NEW 2021 Range Rover Sport SVR Carbon Edition WORTH IT?

Wondering about “ one of these” Range Rovers is very broad. This one is 170k because it’s a special edition SVR. Even a normal SVR is 40k or more less than this one. A Range Rover V8SC can be had for 110k which has more luxury and HP than anything in its class

@@Javy2283 Yeah. What's even worse is that these Range Rovers are one of the worst cars if you are looking for reliabiliy. Just based on the interiors and exteriors, my guess was 70k-90k. But 170k!!!!!???? Nah, that's way too much. Only rich people who want to waste their money buy that. At best it's 120k and if you really wanna push it, then 130k.

SVR owner here. This is a good review. However, it completely ignores the INCREDIBLE option of driving the SVR in fully manual transmission mode using the stick shift. I have never driven mine in automatic !! This car can be driven just like a late 1960s muscle car that had a Hurst shifter. The reason I bought mine was because I wanted a stick shift. With this car you have three (3) driving options: automatic, paddle shift (manual), and stick shift (manual). Brilliant !!!!
exactly the same way I drive my 2020 X3m40i😂it always feels great shifting with the tall gear shift,each and everytime I get into the car I flick the knob into M+/- really has that feel of a manual sports car
Sometimes I think these fancy brands make crappy cup holders because they are hinting that you shouldn’t be drinking anything in these hella expensive moving museums . 🤣

If your buying this new... make friends with the mechanics at the dealership before you leave. You'll be seeing them often in the next few years.
Maybe you should know how to work on cars or you will get rob at the dealership
Most of the ones I’ve seen were in the shop being repaired nothing but high end repair vehicles

I’ve driven one of these. The drive was like no other SUV. The seats hugged me in all the right places and the engine made me want to go faster.
I totally agree that LR knows how to make headlights work for them by projecting that RR aura.

I love my mother fuccin 2017 Range Rover v-8 supercharged 510 horses with a mentcino Red color got it two years ago certified used with 40k miles for 60k worth every penny cant wait one day to be able buy this one ☝️

Great review Joe. FYI for the next Range Rover Sport you review, I believe there is a “secret storage compartment” under the cup holders. Remember the little spot you said you could use for keeping toothpicks? That slot is designed for you to put your fingers in and push the cup holders forward to reveal the secret storage underneath for your secret stash of twinkies 🤣

I really didnt see 170k on it. carbon fiber and supercharged engine are the only things that differentiate from a ford explorer st.plus with the st I'll still have 100k to spend on something else. Great review as always. 👍

Bought a lease return 2020 Range Rover Velar HSE R Dynamic with 380 HP and 0-60 in 5 seconds last August that was 87k MSRP and paid 69k with 4200 miles. Not have 8300 miles and no issues. Still have 2.5 years warranty left. I was worried about reliability but so far no issues and drives great. Mine stands out as it is black with 22 inch wheels and black wheels. Has the badge delete and red accents on hood vents, front end and around above back hatch glass area. Never seen one with the accents and badge delete like this.
SVR Carbon Edition, Yea this is one I would buy. Would also like to see Mansory Edition.

That's the only car that comes close to the amg 65 I think 🤔 that was beautiful
Range Rover sport is gorgeous. However this vehicle is more of of lease for 36 months and trade in.. the reliability isnt good. And repairs are very expensive. Its better than anny suv BMW or Mercedes has to offer in style and performance with the expeption of G waggon. However if I'm going to own and daily drive my suv I'll take a a Lexus gx 460, land Crusier or 4runner for quality and reliability.

The SVR is a beast! I have a 2021 RR Sport HST and love this brand. While gorgeous, I’m not too sure about those 24s…could be a headache on some surfaces.

A couple necessary tips from a professional presenter...
Lose the hyphenated "wise" words, t-ball trophy from when 8??, "drop the you gots" and the spooky scowl when intensely describing. Otherwise pretty excellent job. Just don't be too cutesy and overly casual and familiar. Professional is the first requirement.. not second, third or fourth. Good luck and best wishes
