    Hello my friends, please don't miss the maintenance on your top Convertible System, believe it or not I asked mercedes for a R129 new TOP Pump and they quoted me AU$10,600.00. With this simple and cheap maintenance you will save a lot as these systems are so sensitive to dirty fluid. Please share your experiences, cheers.

    I couldn't agree more.
    It's amazing how many people think these systems are sealed for life!

      Yes, this is most of the times missed...

    I have to look into doing this into my SLK. I guess would be even better to repeat thia again after several cycles of the roof

      This would be a good idea...👍

    I have fluid leaking at the front near the inspection point. How do i check this location? Thanks for the video.

      It is not easy to tell like this, you need to dig more on to it.

    I have 2005 CLK 320. After putting in hydraulic fluid, the top opens halfway and the fluid runs out. I couldn't see any leaks anywhere.

    My friend my soft top need push by hand to start opening. And when closing it bangs hard on the front , what is the problem you think? Thank you.

      Might be anything from a sensor to a bad hydraulic cylinder. Need to diagnose using a MB star.

    I was thinking of adding one ounce of At-205 re-seal when I do the fluid replacement. Does that sound like a good idea to you? Thanks in advance.

    • @BenzAddiction
      @BenzAddiction  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't think so, do not risk blocking any passage, these won't survive a second in such a high pressure system.

      @@BenzAddiction Thanks. I was kind of leaning in that direction.

    Thanks BA. Disgraceful that MB make no ref whatever to the fluid requirements...or even the fact it is there in the handbook. Just " take to a MB dealer " if it stops working....Im sure they have a mortgage favikity tomgo with the visist (yes..in Aus...WA).
    Nearly ruined mine trying to fix, befor finding the resevoir existed and was empty. 2005 CLK 2000 had for about 10 years !!!.
    Cant afford th MB visit (state pension only ) so off to the car shop for the bits and pieces...and to drain the brake fluid I just put in....I think you must be a mind reader hehehe
    Thanks a lot...
    Cheers

    I had mine completely rebuilt for 1500 francs {France},,Australia must be very expensive???

    • @BenzAddiction
      @BenzAddiction  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it is much expensive here, and lack of fluid maintenance can ruin the whole system including the premature wear of the Hydraulic cylinders.

    Amigo. Es sierto que te economizas dinero en el mantenimiento de el aceite hidráulico. Pero en este video da vergüenza las condiciones que tiene la tela negra CAMBA. Mal mantenimiento por eso se abrió la tela de punto a punto. Había que coserla para que no se moje el interior. Hubiesen utilizado otra capota para dar el ejemplo. El buen ejemplo de dar un buen mantenimiento a un auto convertible de esta alta GAMA 👌🇵🇷
