SPARK (Skywalk Senayan Park) and Indonesian Food in Jakarta Indonesia

- In this Indonesia Travel Vlog we head to SPARK aka the Senayan Park Mall in Jakarta to check out the amazing skywalk we heard so much about! When we arrived at the SPARK Skywalk, we found out that it was free to enter...however you needed to have a receipt proving you spent at least 50,000 Rp ($3.36 USD) in the mall. We decided this was the perfect excuse to try some more Indonesian food!
First we returned to where we saw these HUGE bakso meatballs! Luckily the meatball came with noodles. We also thought there was an egg inside the meatball, however there was no egg! While we had fun trying the bakso, as it was 'Indonesian street food' it didn't come with a receipt! We had to order more food. Instead of more meat, we decided to look for some veggie options! Luckily we ran into the restaurant Taliwang Bali which had some vegetarian food options we could try! We ended up ordering tipat cantok which was full of rice cakes, veggies, and peanut sauce. It was amazing!! We also got a receipt when we paid that could be used for the Senayan skywalk!
On the way up to the skywalk we decided to order some frozen yogurt for dessert which sounded like a great thing to enjoy with rooftop views of Jakarta, however you aren't allowed to take food onto the skywalk!! Once we finished our ice cream, we were finally able to enter the skywalk and see our first nighttime views of Jakarta! Jakarta is so pretty at night!!!

Few things to note for you:
1. Foreigners’ price will most probably be different from local’s in most tourist area or for the rides. Unless it’s fixed price (like malls, or taxis);
2. The foods sold in the expensive restaurants are mostly the internationalized version. Ask locals for real local delicacies;
3. Our not-so-spicy is spicy for most part of the world;
4. Even in big cities, Indonesia is not really English speakers friendly (except for Jakarta and Bali). So if you go to other part of Indonesia, you better do your research first;
5. Make friends with locals, they’ll happily help you;
6. Have fun and enjoy Indonesia.

many good rooftops in jakarta. But you can start from SKYE Bar & Restaurant, it's located in Grand Indonesia Mall, you can take a walk first in that very big Mall. Then you can also try other rooftops like HENSHIN which is located at the Westin hotel. Oh yes, for the meatballs that you are eating it doesn't seem to have eggs in it, but at other restaurants like Bakso Atom, there is a choice of meatballs which do contain eggs...

Visit Labuan Bajo, a hidden paradise in eastern Indonesia, where there are many of the rarest animals in the world, namely the Komodo dragon, it must be amazing and go home feeling proud to have visited it👍

And, there are thousands of islands here in Indonesia to explore, but Karimun is one of my top picks. If you prefer the cooler temperatures of the mountains, you should definitely head to Dieng

aku sebenarnya kurang suka makan bakso dimall. piring mereka menggunakan plastik terlihat kecil. sendok garpunya juga menggunakan plastik. jadi kurang nyaman saat menggunakannya.
aku rasa itu bukan bakso telur. aku rasa bakso telur ukurannya tidak sebesar itu. mungkin lain kali harus bilang : aku memesan bakso isi telur.
sepertinya kalian pesan bakso jumbo. tanpa telur.
jika ingin memesan makanan lokal indonesia. datang saja ke warteg. disana banyak makanan yang bisa kamu pilih. ada banyak masakan sayuran. seperti sayur nangka (soup jackfruits) itu sangat enak. ada juga sayur kangkung. ini sangat lezat. kamu bisa pilih yang kamu mau
iya bener, makanan tradisional kaya bakso mie ayam dll tuh enak di warung aslinya

Hello guys, thanks for explore jakarta.. Jakarta is a big city you can explore.
You can't find gado-gado in bali restaurant tho. you need to jakarta or betawi restaurant, because gado-gado is jakarta food.
My suggest you going to glodok chinatown to find it and explore traditional food like nasi ulam, gudeg, sop kambing, sate padang and also delicious bakso and also many traditional food and drinks. good time for go to there is 3 or 4 PM.
And if you go at night, better going to jalan sabang night market (pasar malam), in there have a lot street food.

please try a good affordable traditional massage from Zen. Its that good. Kemang for night life and cafes and PIK for modern big chinese town. But I know you probably already off for another town at the moment. enjoy your vacation..

rooftop options in the center of Jakarta : SKYE Bar in Grand Indonesia Mall or Cloud Lounge in Plaza Indonesia, just in front of Grand Indo. I like Cloud Lounge, because they are more laid back for "dress code" and nice outdoor seating for just having a small drink and snack.
