All Things Action!

Welcome to this week's 5 Minute Friday! 🥳
This week we are focusing on all things action.
Rehabilitation works are underway at Jack Cook Park, where the Toowong Harriers meet. This is a part of the Flood Rehabilitation Sports Field Renovation Program, aiming to rectifying various areas of the damaged field. It is great to see resurfacing works are now completed on Coldridge Road, between sir Fred Schonell Drive and Carmody Road, making our suburban streets safer and smoother! Also, after extensive community consultation, Council is now beginning the install of the new dog off leash area at Lex Ord Park South.
Homeless Connect is a one-day event which provides free services to people experiencing homelessness, or those at risk of homelessness. From 25 March to 3 May 2024 you can donate non-perishable food and toiletries to your local Ward office or local Council Library for the upcoming event on 16 May, 2024.
Finally, thanks to Jubilee Community care for hosting a Home Security and Personal Safety Forum. It was great to join Senior Sergeant Jose to learn some tips and tricks to keep our homes safe and secure!
Anzac Day is next week. Here are some services happening around the Ward on the 25th April:
6:00am - Toowong RSL Sub Branch - Toowong Memorial Park.
7:30am - Sherwood Indooroopilly RSL Sub Branch- Keating Park.
11:00am - West Toowong Bowls Club -17 Bywong St, Toowong.
