    We need a comparison bewteen having arri log, and convert the VLOG to Arri Log with a color space transform

    They need gyro data for stab or a lock feature. This camera image blows the s5ii/x out of the water. Super impressed. Can’t wait for the FF!

    Great video - as always... Thank you for all that you do. QUESTION: How can I let LUMIX know that removing the "Multiple Exposure" feature from the S5 series and the New Micro 4/3 bodies, was a very bad idea. Where is the best place to submit feedback directly to LUMIX?

    Hi...
    Great video....I personally always convert with cinematch any log footage to arri log C (P6K,P4K,GH5,5s,S5 ) it looks always the best...imho did you try to put arri log c on your GH6? And make a GH6 VS GH7 video?

      I am thinking about it! But honestly if you just convert your footage VLOG is more than powerful. ARRI is a nice starting base and ignores a step but unless you are actually shooting with ARRI cameras most people don’t need this upgrade unless they want it

    I agree Arri log is mainly fun for those who can't afford Arri. It doesn't give more dynamic range from what I saw in someone else's video Arri log had more shadow details and colors looked more punchy, where as vlog had less shadow details but more highlights and seemed flatter. Because the sky was exposed to be blown out for both you can't see difference in the highlights.
    I also think the target audience for this camera are not colorists and would use it as you did. Because the camera doesn't film in Braw most aren't going to use Divinci to grade. I think both BM & Panasonic don't want to compete directly. Recent BM cameras don't off ProRes so it make sense no Braw on Panasonic.

      Yes you can! That is the prefered way from ARRI, that and All I as well

    Little bit strange, how can a lumix canera replace a 30 k thousand Canera? I heard a lot like, is the ssme? So if were the same why soneone is going to buy an Arri if can have tjis cheaper one?

      This isn't meant to replace the ARRI camera, now lets just say if all the specs, and features of this camera makes it into a future box-style full-frame camera from lumix with ARRI log well then yeah this can probably get you you pretty close to the same look and style on that camera

    If you're working with Arri's Log profiles, then DaVinci Resolve is the logical NLE to be using.
    Resolve gives you TONS more control and options vs FCP.
    And it's the preferred NLE for most of Hollywood anyways.

      Of course! That’s why I mentioned it in the video ;) but some people gotta show how it works in FCP but logically if you are actually working in ARRI you are grading in Resolve hands down

    Premiere user, but I don't know what the "correct" Arri log approach is.
    Until now, I thought the approach would be the same as with the other log profiles. Anyway, for $200, without any difference in dynamic range, I don't think it's worth it unless the GH7 is used by a professional team, using arri log cameras.

      Exactly! For people who shoot with ARRI this will be great, but overall technically it should be a "better overall color profile" but you can get the same image with color corrections on VLOG

      That is kinda what I thought too. But I try to spend the same amount of time on both clips and make them look as close as possible with little work. Most of the corrections and grades are about the exact same

      The sensor still can move though even if the ibis is off with intense movements which that is the issue

    Calling Arrilog the industry standard is just pure marketing hype brother. There is no such thing as indistry standard log gamma. This profile was specifically made to be a b or c-cam for the arri cameras, nothing more.
    VLog will do just aswell if not even better. The amount of bull spread by camera companies today is astonishing. The biggest one being "ISO 12800".

      Ehhhh but Arri is the industry standard in terms of big productions either in the movie world or in the commercial world for higher end projects

      @@MatthewDangyou Yes like you said Arri as a brand is the industry standard, but not LogC which is a gamma curve. GH7 is a Panasonic camera licensing Arri technology which is made to help solve real problems for productions utilising extremely expensive Arri cameras. That's it. Anything else is a marketing gimmick.
      Trying to market the GH7 as somehow having the same magic as an Arri is very misleading
