There is no such thing as “the least talented Beatle”. They required all four pieces.

He was not "dumb" either, far from it. No way the others would have wanted him, kept him and respected him so much if he was not smart Through no fault of his own, as the medical issues in this vid point out, he had very little formal education growing up. He was always looking to better himself in all ways though as he went along and became an avid reader in the 60's to improve his vocabulary. It is also interesting that while each of the other three would snipe at each other and make negative comments (as well as positive ones) about each other, depending on their mood and the time period post-Beatles, I cannot recall a single instance where Ringo was the recipient of any negativity.

@@mikeymutual5489 In John Lennon's famous playboy interviews done shortly before he died, John was talking about how in the 60's some high brow types in the art world would imply that about Ringo and John was always furious about it. In the interview John stated: "and he ain't dumb" to clear the air. The starting point of the conversation was about how since Charlie Watts used to draw cartoons and did Jazz that Ringo came off "less arty" and John stated that Ringo was equal to, if not superior to Charlie in his approach to drumming. Also, I think it came from the fact that in their movies, Ringo was kind of portrayed that way a bit and an image was formed that was not him in real life at all.

Without a good drummer, you don't have a band. Okay, the Wilburys and CSN/CSNY, but you don't see many groups get away with it.

Ringo was perfect for them PR-wise as without his laconic grounded persona the others would just be 3 snooty muso's, he complimented them well and brought out their fun side, also he carried himself subtley well on the drums even if he was limited in certain areas, if the books are to be believed then Paul has to be credited for his more exotic rhythms (Ticket To Ride etc.) but Ringo followed instruction dutifully and did the songs credit, 'Genius' no not really but bringing him in turned out to be a genial move

3:33 What a crock. You have NO idea if Ringo was least famous member of the group or if he was seen as the least talented of the group. If anyone said that, it would be non-fans of today that are pushing some revisionist history. That was certainly NOT the feeling at the time the group was active, as Ringo was extremely popular and respected as a musician at the time. As you have no actual proof of what you are saying, it is obvious that you are just making everything up.
