A lot of people on hear dissing Jonathan Ross but I have very vague memories of this interview and I can tell you it was a complete surprise that George did this interview let alone be so candid.
Lovely to see George so relaxed. if you thought Jonathan Ross asked lots of questions here, you should see him in the twenty twenties. Still love George. (Always will.)
8.26 "at the time we split up,there was too many other people trying to get in the group.Get to become about two groups the Beatles and the Beatles wives." Lol!! Love his humor!
Love George. The world will never see another musical phenomenon like the Beatles. To have John, Paul, George and Ringo in one group! What are the odds?! 🤯 Thank you, God!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is about as random as you can possibly get on here! 😂 Two Scouse rockers out on the sesh' having some hyperactive bloke In a flash suit with a speech impediment invading their table! 🤣
The interviewer was so nervous and almost made people uncomfortable. He should’ve gotten demoted after that one. Let the cameraman handle the interview from here on in.
It's all four of them. Bruce is hovering behind Elvis on the uke, Pete on the toy kit and Steve on the melodica. Steve was the house musician on the programme with another band {The Playboys}
Hi thanks for this clip i have never seen it before. What year was it from l would think 87 but not sure. George looked in great spirits and so well. Thanks.
I Knew George Later In Life, He Had 3 Porsche's On The Go From Us A 911 Turbo, A 928S & A 924 Carrera All in His Trademark Black. Also A Yellow Ferrari Dino Spyder. Brother Harry Showed Me around The Friar Park Mansions 120 Bedrooms & Underground Lakes To Row Out To Nearby River Thames...
Oh c'mon, this was a friendly interview not the State of the Union address or something like that. George was an amazing artist and he liked to have some fun too.
Was poor and he's usually a lot better. Don't know if this was just prior to Harrison's comeback Cloud 9 album, but the Beatles' stock was probably at its lowest in the mid 80s and they were viewed as old farts by the new wave. Ross was part of a new generation of edgy broadcasters and alternative talk shows, so it has to be viewed in that context and era.
It just goes to show how people get into a lust for other peoples money and they don't care about the individual, I feel sorry for them, just look how the Beatles handle them self themselves with dignity.

George is great, genuine guy, real take on things. Lovely man - great loss.
Couldn't agree more.
This must be the most relaxed interview with George I've ever seen. Nice to see John Peel as well !
0700: OMG .. George was going to ham it up with a skiffle song with the band and the interviewer kept asking questions!!
George he is my favourite

The real George Harrison, may his god bless him 😊

Poor George had to endure the same old questions, oh well, it was fun anyway! Love George always! ✨️❤️🔥
He clarified that in that very same interview, he wouldn¿t like to be a fire engine.
Great interview! nice to see George drink beer with friends!!!
Was George even asked in advance about doing this interwiew?
Very funny and enjoyable! Thx
Nice ring, what a showman.
I'm so glad George mentioned Cliff and the Shadows..
I always wondered whether they listened to Cliff Richard or whether they had met him.
@@SuperMillwallI remember John saying that before Cliff and the Shadows.. there was nothing worth listening to in British rock n roll.
@@keithe8449 I remember that actually. There’s no footage of them ever meeting though.
@@SuperMillwall Apparently they had seen Cliff and the Shadows at the Liverpool Empire and thought we would like a piece of that
Awww, John Peel is cute as is the music at the end. 🙂
Welcome to TH-cam! Looking forward to seeing your uploads!
"Too many people tryin to get into the group..". Ever so cheeky)
Ole Billy Boy Shepherd
Great interview :)
Don't often hear Heswall and Madonna mentioned in the same interview. Good stuff.
Half of Elvis Costello's group apparently featured on the program...

Good old George and John (Peel)
Ha! With Elvis Costello & The Attractions in tuxes playing the credits out. Neat!

Does anybody know the location and name of the pub? Does it still exist?
It is Kings Arms in Wandsworth. Still there!
@@sniper555100Thanks a lot for the information. Cheers!

Yeah, right
120 bedrooms? Nah
Lucky guy!!
❤❤❤
❤
Can’t drink after 11pm. That sucks.
Yes, cause the English would never show up for work if they didn’t get cut off at 11! :))🍺
7:42 - John Peel feeling a tad awkward 😅
Jonathan Ross always makes every interview about him
not really
A bit late on the comments, but Ross missed a trick there; on 7 minutes George about to get up, looking for a guitar to do a skiffle number !!!
Holy crap, John Peel jumpscare
What year was this?
Talk about putting Madonna in her place ! Great!
Which pub are they in?
This is awful journalism from Johnathan, every question was just, “I read an old quote” 🤦🏼♂️

True
Wonder what George was drinking
Wine?
I thought it was Bass Ale.
@@waynej2608 i thought it looked more like a dark ale than wine.
Vodka 7
Pommy twirp is jr.
Fanks Wosso!
George appears half cut…lol
Golden opportunity missed big time he wanted to get up with the band
Jonathan Ross embodies triviality and cliché, shallow, shallow, shallow. . . empty, empty, vacío
A pretty talentless man all in all
Sounds like the bonzo dog dirt band😂
Oh jr…….your so ,so….,I know,😃😃😃😃😃,A well known Non Entity. Ha ha ha.
