Meh, he was a good defender but only shined with needless brutality. Unfortunately way too many refs let him get away with. And even despite that he managed to collect 244 yellow cards and 29 red cards in his career. Ultimately just a scumbag who also had no issue with intentionally injuring his opponents. Compare players: Carles Puyol: 108 yellow cards, 3 red cards in his career. Paolo Maldini: 90 yellow cards, 4 red cards in his career. Javier Zanetti: 53 yellow cards, 2 red cards in his career. Lilian Thuram: 74 yellow cards, 3 red cards in his career. Fabio Cannavaro: 134 yellow cards, 7 red cards in his career (and he was considered a very rough defender) etc. Hell, Ramos is even worse than Pepe who was universally hated for his brutality. that guys has "only" 183 yellow cards and 17 red cards over his career. With disgust do I remember the days when Ramos and Pepe were two centre backs at Real Madrid - in a time when Barcelona had it's golden days, Real had it's dirtiest.

Ringo was perfect for them PR-wise as without his laconic grounded persona the others would just be 3 snooty muso's, he complimented them well and brought out their fun side, also he carried himself subtley well on the drums even if he was limited in certain areas, if the books are to be believed then Paul has to be credited for his more exotic rhythms (Ticket To Ride etc.) but Ringo followed instruction dutifully and did the songs credit, 'Genius' no not really but bringing him in turned out to be a genial move

This is such a simplistic way of looking at things. The Big 3 made each other. Sure, they we rivals, but each were necessary to each other's improvement. Without any of them, there is no legend of Rafa, or Djoko, or Fed (or Murray for that matter, who did his part as a challenger insanely well). They would have been considered all time greats, but not at the status they are now. In the case of Alcaraz, it's harder on him to not have this rivalry. Id he doesn't, since Sinner seems like a possible option, but damn the poor guy is injury prone. I'm not saying that he would become as legendary as those 3, but he still should be considered on the same skill level as them, if he keeps this up.

Other than that he's a Narcissist(someone who is overly self involved with them self an unhealthy love of ones self) this is why no matter what he's ask even when its clearly not about him, he twists the conversation to talk about his boxing record and his money. I'm pretty sure all his so called smart investments came from the advice of Al Haymon. He misses all the attention he use to get.
