This song was playing the first time I ever saw a girl in her underwear. My best friend and I were 14 and we were riding our bikes at night we passed by a house with the door open, some girl was standing in the doorway in bra and panties, this song was playing on their stereo. I liked this song since the first time I heard it back in the early 90's! This is one of those songs that seems like they poured the 60's the 70's the 80's and the 90's into a blender and this is what came out!! Lol! I LOVE it!! It's always been a great track!

Guarantee you that at some point this week Jay is gonna just be wandering around, doing whatever he normally does, and he just randomly busts out singing "Groooovee is in the hearrtttt". It's unstoppable.🤣🤣. Been happening to all of us for 30 years

Deee Lite was lightyears ahead of their time. This had such a huge impact, I can't even start to mention why and how. Just read the wikipedia page about this song and group. Then start dissecting all the samples it contains to truly appreciate and understand the production. And then go down the list of guest artists on this song. This was massive for a very long time. One of the biggest dance hits ever. Featuring Q-Tip, Bootsy Collins, Fred Wesley and Maceo Parker.
Check out: Herby Hancock - Rock it

Every Deee lite album, only three, is unusual and a classic that went to #1 on the billboard dance chart. They ruled the underground club circuit for years before their record came out, then they took the party globally. They are considered pioneers & beloved for bringing nyc house-music into the billboard top ten of the Hot 100....

Then this song came up recently (I had never heard it before) and i thought, GREAT, finally someone has come out with a good song. Then I find out is it 30+ years old, lol. I guess we all just like what we grew up listening too.
