Deelite were ahead of their time, their music is honestly class and some of their songs are just so refreshing in this day and age. All 3 of them are great too
She's really an awesome person. My friend showed me a hand-written response letter she sent him back in 1995 from he wrote to her. It was so cool to see.
She defines sexy. Look at that body! It's sick. She's the most gorgeous creature on Earth. Her voice ... whether talking or singing. She's in her own league altogether and no one else is even close.
@@Fiveash-ArtDmitry was a handsome man; keep in mind that Kier herself did a lot of the group's styling and their look was completely re-vamped for each of their three albums throughout the 1990's. Search _Deee-Lite Runaway_ and _Deee-Lite Picnic in the Summertime_ to see how they changed their looks over only four years. Dmitry was also a club DJ and in my experience, girls love a good DJ.
I find it hard to believe someone in Hollywood didnt contact her with a small part in a movie and see how that progressed ,with her unique and gorgeous looks maybe like a "Bond girl" in a 007 movie for starters
Even as a 9 year old in 1990, her body, dancing and 60s style had an effect on me! Groove is in the heart was such a groundbreaking song for that year. It was everywhere. I loved it!
Never saw this interview, but watching this brings back so many fond memories of when I was a DJ and then really got into Deee-Lite's music. That was such an amazing time in my life and interestingly I'd never seen an interview of them, so this is a real gem for me. Thanks for posting!
What memories they bring back. 1990 ruled, and they were the soundtrack. The music was so unique and sexy fun. I wish I had that year back to know what I know now.
I always loved their retro look. Sadly, Kier and Dmitry's relationship, which was described as "turbulent", ended four years later in 1994 as did the group and Deee-Lite was no more. What a shame :>\
Im glad that they came up and showed out when they first arrived on the scene and continued on in the future. It would be crazy to see them first appear nowadays, they would forsure be a hit.
I just seen them on Tick Tock and it says that they were a underrated band of the 90's,,,,,,So Underrated, and Still stop in my Track when I here her sing and Dance 💃 such a Gorgeous Woman
Always tell people they're awesome when they are. And Lady Miss Kier is really awesome!! There are many who love you Lady many even on the unfallen world's.
She had such class and had this vintage style like my friends at that time, if it was 50's,60's,70's or the Hip-Hop,Punk or Electronic. Early 90's was when anything that works is cool to mix. Perhaps for the first time in history.
I have such mixed feelings about this interview. I LOVED It oveall, but the two of them together put out a weird vibe to me. I don't know if it was early in the morning, or maybe she was a little "under the influence" but there was a Shyness and reservation about her demeaner that I found Fascinating! I felt like she was an extreamly Honest person full of conviction and introspective thinking, and her thought patterns read on her face like a book.
Plus, I'm not sure how soon after their Fame this interview was done, but the Humility and genuiness of their home made it feel as if they'd Just cut the demo yesterday, and hadn't even begun to Shop it yet! I know I'm over doing it, and I'll get Slammed by someone for my honesty, but I don't care. It was nice to see a Couple make it to Stardom (at that time) and still be sheepish in front of the cameras.
5:14, it brings me down so much to her them talking about how in love they are knowing they'd be screwing each other over in a few years... the world of music really chewed them up and spit them out. Such a shame.
Damn -34 years ago! I was but a little gay Wisconsin boy but with Lady Miss KIer as my inspiration, built my own persona as a drag queen and years later, performed Q-Tips rap from "Groove" with her at a Pride event. She lived up to every dream.
Still diggin' Dee-Lite in 2023.
Still digging the early 90s in 2024
They were ahead of their time. It's always like that with great REAL artist.
MrNYCEyes WoW you are commenting in 2017 !
I’m revisiting in 2020.
All three of them are geniuses.
They were around in the 90s. They didn't come from the future (and no band ever has). They made dance music of its time, too
Lady Kier is the Ultimate Influencer before there were influencers. She would have Ruled the space.
Deelite were ahead of their time, their music is honestly class and some of their songs are just so refreshing in this day and age. All 3 of them are great too
What a beautiful woman she is! And talented, what a voice
What a woman indeed ❤
She's so awesome!
And a beautiful woman.
She is mounara. 🇬🇷 And yes beyond, 👌
Omg I loved this band...I was a crazy girl into this stuff blasting their stuff with my hair like lady Keir
they are dripping with style,,
I love these artists. There's an eclectic 60's quality to everything they put out. An absolute COOL tone about the way they do.
7os
I miss Deee-Lite's sound so much...and I miss their personas too.
It's amazing that this music still has a grip on dance music. This sound is pretty strong. They were the best in the early 90's for house music.
True People, visionaries ahead of their time, Deelite
They dress and talk like people from the 60s
@@Brakish33well they are from the 60s
I saw them at a rave back in like 93. It was dope as fuck. 👌🏼
man i love her voice. i don't even think i've heard her speaking until today could listen to her all day lol

@4th_Lensman_of_the_apocalypse pretty privilege didn't exist 12 years ago, give a guy a break :P
I couldn't have said it better myself.
@4th_Lensman_of_the_apocalypse I think someone needs to touch grass or pound sand. Take your hate some where else. Thanks, and have a nice day 😃
They were the ultimate mix of futuristic nostalgia….innovative and old school chic … they were so bomb ass
She's so gorgeous She's on a league of her own, neat perfect body and dance skill moves..She's got that 60's year itch fashion style..
I need Lady Miss Kier back in my life❤❤
I’ve never seen anyone express themselves, so positive, very inspiring
Deee-Lite are sooooo cool, Groove is in the heart is still easily the best song on the radio, I played it yesterday in my car very loud!
Saw them live in NYC at a park Labor Day weekend.
They're both gorgeous! ;-)
They are. They look like they just know they had it back in the day.
Adam Smith So cool! greetings Adam!
That's funny because I was thinking .. How in the hell did that guy get her?

Kier is so damn beautiful .
They still ahead of out time ..timeless music

Deee-Lite is one of the greatest. Probably why i love Confidence Man so much too. Very similar in attitude and amazing club music
This reminds me of a day in the west village buying a pair of John Fluevog platforms. God, we were beautiful.
Such great artists. thank you .
Dee lite for life. They all deserve so much happiness.
I love her. I am 46 years old now. Maybe, I am old enough? I bet she's old as hell now. 56 years old ain't that bad. She still fine. I just checked.
She's 58

She should be in the music hall of fame

Innovation, sexy, trance for the 90's. Glad I got to live it.

I've played the World Clique album hundreds of times, they were most definitely from some beautiful future world
Dee-lite was head of its time, they were pioneers in house music. "What is Love" is a superb house music track
шикарная женщина, хорошо танцует и поет, не знаю что с ними сейчас
