I absolutely love their response on the "boyfriend doesn't want to travel" fiasco. You should ALWAYS put your own desires first. If they love you that much, they will still be there when you come back. Relationships aren't always forever, but the experiences from these trips are. 30 years ago my dad turned down a 100k football scholarship at university because his girlfriend didn't want him to leave. She ended up breaking up with him a month later, and he lost his chance of a lifetime. ALWAYS put yourself first, and fuck romantic relationships

That last question is the holy grail. I remember coming out being so easy for me because although I made the decision to come out at 21-22, I had came to terms with gayness at like 12 or 13. If you're okay with who you are then nothing else matters.

I feel soooo differently with the money situation! I don't travel as much as you guys, but every trip I've ever done, I always hated the people who brought up money every single time we wanted to do something. If you're gonna be cheap and whiny every minute of the trip don't come! I prefer to not worry about every cent while traveling, because I don't get a chance to do it that often, and I don't want it to ruin my trip. The best way to avoid this issue is to travel with like-minded people. If you want to save, travel with people like that. If you're okay spending a bit more, travel with people like that. Just be on the same page with your companions.
I always pay people back to the last cent, but if people pay me and then say " I don't have change for the last little bit, I'll pay you later," I usually tell them to forget it. For example, if something split up ended up being 22 peso (Argentine), and they have 20 but not 2, I don't care about the 2 pesos that are worth .15 USD!
I also pay lots of people back on PayPal, Quick Pay or Venmo, so then you don't have to worry about having the exact change, you just put exactly what you owe in and they can quickly transfer it to their bank account.
