I would highly recommend going on an architecture tour instead of a celebrity homes tour! They're really informative, not a typical touristy thing to do, and they teach you a lot about the unknown history of the city. I was born in raised in LA and I love learning new things about my city by doing those tours! Ps. They make up almost all of those celebrity house tours. Most celebs either don't live in the hills or don't give away their addresses lol

With an LA library card, there's a bunch of fun, touristy stuff you can do for freeeee! I'm a Koreatown kid hailing from Canada, and the library resources have been the most useful in helping me get a more detailed picture of the sprawling LA County.

Lived in the LA area my whole life (Long Beach) - literally never heard of that market. I finally went to Hollywood/Highland for the first time in 2017. If you're born are raised here, you know all those place are full of transplants and you avoid them all.

lmao ghee is just a traditional Indian food- clarified butter. Nothing really fancy just American companies act like it is.
Actually a whole "keto" diet movement has been taking place for a little while now and ghee butter is very popular now due to that.

I grew up in the L.A area most of my life (Lynwood, Compton, Downey) and it's crazy bc every time I go out to that area (Hollywood, Beverly Hills, etc) it feels really foreign to me. Lol
It's really interesting to see the racial demographics of the city never really portrayed accurately in films or tv.

I remember going to Rodeo Drive for the first time and was SOOOO underwhelmed... I was like this is it?!?! TV makes it seem more grand than it really is for sure... LA/Hollywood is really just a pipe dream, the only thing it has going for it is the proximity to the ocean

It’s interesting. I’ve been living in LA for a little over a year now and, I mean, I don’t think I ever exactly wanted to move here because i believed it to be a glamorous place exactly, but, like you guys said, there’s something about LA about how you know there’s so much creativity and uniqueness in this city and there’s so many opportunities which is what drove me to come here so yea :)

I love the Los Angeles vibe. When I first visited, I had no expectations like the ones people seem to have. I fell in love with a very real place. I don't get why people don't love it. I love the gritty, hot, plastic reality of it, all of it. I've been all over and it's the only place I've every felt like I wasn't on the wrong planet and I didn't know I could feel that way about any place. I don't get the expectations that people have that it's like a movie or magazine ad. All the things that disillusion people are the things that endear it to me, that make me want to move there. Well, not so much the traffic or the expense. But I put up with that living where I do.
Hahahaha! I love this. I lived in Beverly glen for years and HATED those tours cuz they stop in the middle of the fucking canyons and cause mad traffic like nobody ain't got shit to do! Lol as a native Angelino this video cracks me up!
I'm from LA, I grew up here too! LA and Hollywood are two completely different places. I'm glad this video touches a bit on how glamourized LA is because what the media mainly shows about Los Angeles is the Hollywood side and not what this city truly is. Been linking the videos a lot recently! :D

I am French, I’ve never been to LA (nor the US at all actually) and lastly I‘ve had a strong desire to come, your video made me realize I have no idea about what it looks like besides Hollywood hills 😂 I was probably expecting it to be more glamorous. I guess it is in some parts, isn’t it ? I also wonder if it can happen to bump into celebrities or if it’s really not a thing... That’s part of the magic I guess ✨

Yes! I’m Nigerian and so far the only other west African country I’ve been to is Ghana , plus went to Zambia for work - I’m now thinking of shutting up and going to either The Gambia or perhaps Sierra Leone !

I'm born and raised in Culver City, California .I've lived in my own bubble my whole life only cities im ever in is Culver City, Venice, Playa Del Rey, Marina del Rey, Santa Monica, Palisades , Malibu , Westwood, Brentwood, and Century City.
