Awesome stuff. When I moved into my "forever home", I threw out my chocolate chip cammies, Desert Storm memorabilia, 1st Marines ,3 color Desert, we wore in Somalia (5th Marines). I pumped with 1/9, 2/9, 2/4, 2/1. I dumpster fired all my Drill Instructor and Recruiter Duty, pictures, cruisebooks, awards, and uniforms. I had a LAW tube used as a movie prop and an AT-4 lamp. The only pictures I kept were my Ball pictures of '94 and '02. I sold my NCO sword that I won when I was the "Marine of the Year" 1994. I gave my nephew my silver Jump wings. what you talking about she made him have a man cave? remember kids don't feel bad if your spouse makes you have all your collection hidden or in a man cave, even Brent a seasoned Marine couldn't fight his wife.
@@Brent0331 yeah, i wondered if u were married. my ex hated all my stuff . . . and me with it. 15 years later, i have alot of nice wwi stuff and get whatever i want, when i want it. that's living. ps, very, very nice displays
Cracking good collection, Brent, well done. Good luck with the 84mm. The cocking knob broke off one I had in training. I fired off the action, but I should have left it alone because it would have been easier to repair when cocked.
Man Cave A place where you keep all your favorite stuff and do what you want. It used to be called your life, but then you got married. So now it is just a room.
Very interesting tour of your man cave. Didn't know that you had two deployments. Your channel is gold, stumbled on it a few days ago while looking for Greek lizard camo videos. Didn't regret the sub. Keep up the good work.
If memory serves (big if), I don't recall any of us having those rubber bands around our helmets. The Army did that a lot, carried their Deet up there and a few other things. Don't recall why Marines didn't do it. In my units case, we rarely wore helmets, so YMMV. Nice cave by the way ;-)
Man I love your videos and your channel I've learned a lot with your vids, gotta say that's a great collection and museum you can start a war by yourself!! Keep it up with the good work bud!
I can't even describe how jealous I am of the man cave, bro. Lol. Seriously, that is an amazing collection!! I love to collect military weapons and gear too, but my collection is far behind yours. Challenge accepted. Time to step up my game. Now, if I can only get the wife onboard. 🤔 That's not going to be easy. 😆 Thanks for the video.
I envy you your collection. A lot of us returning from Vietnam simply threw our uniforms away. The hatred all around us meant we did not want anyone to find out we had served in the military. 50 years later I wish I had some of my gear to share with my grandkids and great-grandkids. Oh well no sense crying over spilt milk. Sgt USMC 0311 1964-1970 RVN 1968 including Tet '68
Wow,is all I can say.that is the most badass man cave I've seen, about how long would you say it took you to assemble all that history.really nice display of history,my grandfather fought in ww2 and my grandmother was a Japanese pow in the Philippines.
I really like how you have everything setup. Man I need to up my game. My collection looks more like an episode of militia hoarders than a proper display.
very cool .thanks for showing us all this cool gear. i love to collect and use the gear also. my house is a museum also. i been subbed to you for a long time. peace.
i live in the mt hood national forest at 4000 feet on a 11245 foot tall snow covered volcano. looks like rambo first blood country where i live right outside my house. you would dig it here for sure.
I know for most Marine units it was SOP they were required to wear their flaks. With that said, you'll see plenty of photos of Marines outside the wire not wearing them. I would say just as a rule of thumb its more common to see Marines wearing flaks then Army. Vietnam was a long war, many units, different SOPs, experiences differed from guy to guy, unit to unit.
Brent0331 my grandfather served in vietnam with the Marines as a radioman 1967-68 and he said every Marine was required to wear their flak jacket while on patrol or when on high alert, he hated the M1955 flak jacket because the plates had a bad tendency to jab into your side/belly if you were resting it got so bad he ditched his USMC flak jacket and acquired an M1969 vest he liked it more because it was lighter and was more comfortable to wear he also told me when he used it as a pillow when he was sleeping
@@Brent0331 Oh, hell brother you're welcome & thanks for serving ! 🤜🏻🤛🏻 Hey bro, don't you run one of them training programs or live In Indiana or something ? It's where I'm from. I seen one of them camo effectiveness videos & thought it showed in the description- Indiana ?
Awesome collection! I’ve got something similar. The room is divided in half with NATO and western Cold War stuff on one side and Warsaw Pact/Soviet stuff on the other. In the middle is some stuff from neutral countries like Switzerland. Finally the other end is all my modern day Army stuff.
Hey @Brent0331 it would be cool if you would make a Camouflage effectiveness Video about the late WW2 german Leibermuster 45. I personally Thing it is a really nice pattern. I hope that you like my Little idea so greetings from Germany :)
Hello Brent Thank you for the video about the contents of your man cave. One technical question regarding your issued USMC equipment and uniform parts. When you left the active duty, you are supposed to return the issued uniform parts and military equipment, to the equipment NCO and the weapons locker NCO and so it can be issued to a new recruit then. I not sure if the terms are right but the procedure should fit, as it was done back in the days in the German armed forces. If the equipment and Uniform parts are not usable anymore or to worn out they are thrown away or burned in the presence of weapons locker NCO. How did you manage to obtain these then? Thanks and have a great day
Nice Man cave! I have a ton of WW2 /Vietnam collection ..Unfortunately it's not in a nice display, it's more like piled in the corners, stuffed in boxes and so on..When I want to find something it can be quite a challenge lol.
@@Brent0331 i know its difficult to get deactivated firearms in the states due to your laws regarding receivers, but can you import British deactivated weapons?

Very interesting tour of your man cave. Didn't know that you had two deployments. Your channel is gold, stumbled on it a few days ago while looking for Greek lizard camo videos. Didn't regret the sub. Keep up the good work.
Just discovered your channel today, This is so awesome!
If memory serves (big if), I don't recall any of us having those rubber bands around our helmets. The Army did that a lot, carried their Deet up there and a few other things. Don't recall why Marines didn't do it. In my units case, we rarely wore helmets, so YMMV. Nice cave by the way ;-)
Thanks brother, I appreciate it.
Man I love your videos and your channel I've learned a lot with your vids, gotta say that's a great collection and museum you can start a war by yourself!! Keep it up with the good work bud!
Thanks brother
Awesome man cave, man! Thanks for your service.
Appreciate it brother
I can't even describe how jealous I am of the man cave, bro. Lol. Seriously, that is an amazing collection!! I love to collect military weapons and gear too, but my collection is far behind yours. Challenge accepted. Time to step up my game. Now, if I can only get the wife onboard. 🤔 That's not going to be easy. 😆 Thanks for the video.
Ha, Ill await your video!
Impressive collection you got there!
Take care and stay safe.
Seing that Iraqi invasion woodland gear made me think of Generation kill(great show).
Thanks
Very cool stuff. Wish I had thought of that but thanks for the idea. Semper Fi.

A truly museum quality collection you got there!
Thanks brother
Wow,is all I can say.that is the most badass man cave I've seen, about how long would you say it took you to assemble all that history.really nice display of history,my grandfather fought in ww2 and my grandmother was a Japanese pow in the Philippines.
This is kinda late but man...you do have a awesome man cave!
Remind me to buy you a beer!
Thanks man
Great Video! Awesome collection!
Appreciate it brother.
I really like how you have everything setup. Man I need to up my game. My collection looks more like an episode of militia hoarders than a proper display.
Enjoyed that video. Simper Fidelis brother. 0311

Thanks brother.
i live in the mt hood national forest at 4000 feet on a 11245 foot tall snow covered volcano. looks like rambo first blood country where i live right outside my house. you would dig it here for sure.
Thank you for your service and
Semper Fi Marine.
Thanks brother S/F!
I have a question regarding the Vietnam war period. is the Army frequently wear Flak jacket like Marines? Or they don't use as much as Marine?
Awesome brother & my type of home decor ! 😆
👊🏻🔫🗡🥋💣🔪🏹🛡🇺🇸
Thanks

Oh, hell brother you're welcome & thanks for serving ! 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Hey bro, don't you run one of them training programs or live In Indiana or something ?
It's where I'm from.
I seen one of them camo effectiveness videos & thought it showed in the description- Indiana ?
Awesome collection! I’ve got something similar. The room is divided in half with NATO and western Cold War stuff on one side and Warsaw Pact/Soviet stuff on the other. In the middle is some stuff from neutral countries like Switzerland. Finally the other end is all my modern day Army stuff.
Awesome brother, very cool.
Love it my friend. Well done. 👍🏻👍🏻👊🏻💪🏻
Thanks brother

Thanks, I decided to do short and sweet. I could talk for hours about some of the sh-t in there.
Hey @Brent0331 it would be cool if you would make a Camouflage effectiveness Video about the late WW2 german Leibermuster 45. I personally Thing it is a really nice pattern.
I hope that you like my Little idea
so greetings from Germany :)
I've got a couple videos on Swiss Alpenflage already, its pretty much the same color scheme and design.
Hello Brent
Thank you for the video about the contents of your man cave.
I know the feeling brother.
Damn great man cave thanks for showing us Brent
