  • In this video, I give this beautiful MCM Hutch the makeover it deserves! The blonde wood has gone quickly out of style and I knew I needed to update the color to a more trendy selection! I wanted to keep the cane on the drawers so this design process gave me a run for my money! I wasn’t sure how it would turn out but overall, I love the result! Let me know what you think and thank you so much for watching!

    Really like this re-do, Lauren! True, the wood stain would have been one way to go; however, the white makes this one fun and funky and it looks great! Nice choice on that green and the hardware!

    To test a color of paint, realize the color of the cardboard will affect how you see it (as well as the lighting). Photographers use a grey card to test colors. Maybe just white poster board would work too.

    • @FurnitureFlippingTeacher
      @FurnitureFlippingTeacher  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great insight here! The lighting definitely plays a big role in the swatching. I prefer daylight to determine the swatch color and if I will like it. If using tungsten lights I found it will warm and yellow the color more so.
      Thanks for this Patti!

    When you get a great deal on a sought after piece like this, you might be even more successful just cleaning it up and selling it as is. The collectors pay top dollar for mint originals.
