If the back can come off. Some do not have that kind of thin board on the back, You would actually have to take the whole piece of furniture apart on all my cabinets. It is a good idea however.

You can put the wallpaper on a piece of MDF, then using double-sided tape to hold it in place. The shelves will also keep the “false back” in place.

😎From AZ...Awesome ideas on how to attach wallpaper, etc to bookcase inside back or cabinets. For example; I use IKEA Billy bookcases often for many of the rental homes I have owned and they are great to carry a heavy load per shelf and now come in prepainted colors. I removed the backing, papered and carefully re-nailed the back on with tiny nails. Great updated look for staging with minimal decor pieces or tenants books etc.

I have a piece I’m working on now with warped doors. I looked up a old trick that worked great and it straightened the doors. If you can remove the glass...do so first. If not it’s fine with them in just need to be more careful. I laid the doors on the concrete garage floor. Put wet rags over all the wood and kept the rags wet. Put weight on each corner of the door frame to weigh it down flat to the floor. As the water draws into the wood it slowly took the warp out!
Kept the rags and weight on the doors for a full day and night. Worth a try and it did work for me! Maybe you can try it to on a future project with this issue! By the way...I use to live in Bellevue and now live in southwest Colorado...and my son and his family live in Millard area of Omaha. Small world! You did a great job 👏🏻

Those are called door stops Lauren LOL 😉
I think you should take the doors and connect wire to the back of them and hang up and take some chalk paint and paint the glass and you've got an instant beautiful decorative chalkboard for somebody's front hall or you know like a message center! Just trying to help you with ideas!
You did a fantastic job on this piece!!

Wall paper. A very sharp exacto blade. Only use one blade for one cut. Snap blade off use new blade always after every cut. Use the manufacturer’s edge to butt up to manufacturer’s edge. Plane ahead so your paper will still match. You could put paper down the center put matches on each side of center strip

When your screws are stripped or when having trouble getting a good grip with the screw and the screwdriver, use a rubber band to put in between and it will give you grip. Kind of like using a rubber mat to open a jar of pickles.

I would suggest painting the edge of the doors the blue color. That way if you have any pieces where there’s a gap you’re not gonna see the wood it will look finished

It is just beautiful! If it doesn't sell, take out the lower shelf of the cabinet, and stage it as a bar with some bottles, wine glasses, etc. Home bars are so popular! Love it!

Just caught one of your videos and am now binge watching. Make sure you ebay or etsy all of your vintage hardware removed from your projects. Sell in lots or the vintage & antique in matching sets. So happy for you! Keep up your journey to be Student debt free.

Idea: for the next time you have to try a big area of wallpaper like that, maybe buy a sheet of thin hard board, cut it to size, stick the wallpaper to that and install it into the hutch.

You can make the glass doors into Stain Glass if they are glass and not plastic, turn the glass doors horizontal and add eye hooks to each end then connect a fancy chain to hang in front of an inside window.

This is gorgeous! Tip for sticky residue: use essential oil of lemon - good quality (I use DoTerra). It is magical! I am a 2nd grade teacher and use it to get name plate sticker residue off desks. Rub a drop on with your finger and the glue literally rolls off. Then, just wipe with a clean paper towel. You are left with a smooth, nice smelling area!

You should invest in a simple metal straight edge for cutting those things. It's like $6 at art supply stories. And if you put a little painter's tape on where you're going to drill, it keeps the paint from chipping, the wood from splintering, and keeps the surface from getting dirty. Cheap and easy.

First off, I love your channel. As a thought, if you feel like it's within your skill set, the wallpaper application could possibly be made easier if you removed the back panel, apply the wallpaper, then reinstall the panel.
I love the project! I think the warped door was maybe even a blessing.

For the old screws get a thicker rubber band and use it in between the screw and the screwdriver head it will help it grip to them

It is really cute!!! Good job! Try using the wallpaper that you wet on the back rather than peel and stick. Everyone will tell you that peel and stick is easy. But even pros hate it. The kind that you wet on the back allows for more leeway. It is also even cheaper with greater selection. You can line it up once wet and it is wayyyyyy more forgiving allowing you movement without folding and bending your paper. Also a dry eraser is nicer for burnishing because it doesn't scratch the paper.

If you place the one door in a vice for a few days and make sure it's bent in the opposite direction for a few days, it should take the bow out. Any wood bent for a prolonged period will usually return to its shape when bent and held in place by force. A Coffee bar doesn't need doors anyway, so you made the proper move, IMHO.

I also remove the back, off a piece. However if the back is more substantial, I measure and cut a thin piece of timber (ply) and I then wallpaper this and stick it to the back. Love your channel Lauren, you are a star X

Something I have seen but not tried. Use a paper punch on a piece of painter's tape. Center the tape over the hole you are filling. Add the filler, smooth, remove tape. This keeps the extra filler off your piece so you only need to sand the extra over the filled area. Hope I explained it well enough. I'm going to try it on my 100+ yr old painted window trim where window hardware was removed.
