Curtis Walker is a Māori doctor and specialist in nephrology and general medicine. He has recently finished 5 years as chair of the New Zealand Medical Council and 7 years on the board of the Māori doctor's association. He currently serves on the board of New Zealand's national health provider, Te Whatu Ora | Health NZ, and practices as a nephrologist in Palmerston North Hospital. He is committed to cultural safety and health equity for Māori, Pacific, and other underserved peoples in Aotearoa, particularly in the area of nephrology and kidney transplantation.
