£200k to have your dream home mortgage free, is amazing !! I’ve said it many times, but you guys are incredible !!! Talk about independent power women 💪💪💪 Keep smashing it girls ❤
Love the life you are living…and in your case learning as well… unfort so many ppl don’t…priceless…so happy for you. Get as much done before the winter…it’s coming!
Please do take care of your spines. At my age, 74 now, almost totally disabled! Some damage thru hard physical labor such as you are doing but then thru accident, and unlucky adventuring like climbing and drone flying.. The critical times I was injured I did not have medical insurance...I do now but much to late to remediate. I do not regret my many incredible adventures but do wish I had paid heed to sensible limitations. Oh well....please Louise, just pay attention will you?
Love your channel ladies, just a tip from an old stonemason, use rollers, old broom handles, fence posts anything round to move big stones, and don't use a crowbar hook to pull with, your doing a great job and I don't want to see either of you get hurt, I lived in Ireland doing old buildings up 20 years ago and hope to get back one day looking forward to seeing your progress 👍
I was about to add this comment regarding broom handles. I manged to move a huge aga rayburn stove with this method on my own. Simple solutions often work best 😀
I knew I adored you both, I've thought we have the same theory on life. You're living it to its fullest, taking time to smell the roses and cherish each event. What I truly appreciate that you can talk about savings. My husband and I are married 39 years (40 on3.9.2025) we've had many chapters, owned 4 homes, 3 in Northern New Jersey then decided to leave and put space between us and NYC. We now live in Arizona; our two children have become amazing adults, who we've helped along the way. My point for telling you my story, is about Savings. No matter what was happening around us money went into savings. We followed a rule I heard growing up that said, nothing goes on a credit card that won't be with us next month and beyond which means no meals, coffees, movies, vacations etc. Now that my husband turned 69 (fyi I am 62) and has a form of leukemia (CML) we (I) became terrified of what would happen if it was only me to stand on my own two feet, Would I be able to carry our home and keep living and not have to lean on anyone. YES!!! why because we've spent our lives living frugally with our eyes on the next chapter, and shocking expenses that might come our way. SO, if you're reading this. Listen to our incredible never met friends. Savings, pay your saving account monthly, be mindful and when the time comes, and you WANT big bucks or NEED it.. you know you've got it safely tucked away. Stay Safe Measure twice keep in touch with loved ones. and smile every day because you are who you are.
I was brought up with a saying, if you can't afford & haven't saved for it, you don't get it. My parents were born in 1929 & 1931 & were old school. They didn't have credit or credit cards. They worked hard & saved, even if it was a couple of quid for a few months, it still adds up. Then when they could save more they did. We ate good homemade meals & nothing was wasted. We didn't go without either, but we weren't millionaires. I've lived that way & really struggled (only had £35pw to live on after mortgage & bills paid & £12.50 of that was for fares to &from work!) thank goodness I learned how to make good wholesome meals from practically nothing. I now own my house & it's made me stronger & appreciate everything more. These two are an inspiration to many & their hard work & determination is already beginning to show & pay off. I can't wait to see the end results & how beautiful it's all going to be. Hope your husband is doing ok & wishing you both the very best.
We are very much like this, if you don’t have the money then you can’t have it. We work hard to get what we want and what we have, I remember us both working two jobs eating beans on toast to save our deposit for our first home and it was totally worth it 🙂🙂
How amazing will it be in years to come when you are cosy and living in your beautiful forever home to look back on these videos of how you got there ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Your videos are never boring girlies, they always make me smile. I love watching all the progress you're making with the cottage, it's going to look amazing in the end.
I would watch you too pointing for the next 5 years, because it's your incredible personalities that I'm invested in. Been watching you since the beginning and just love you both 😊❤
You're doing it the right way, we took 5 years to build our last house and most of it was paid for out of our salary. We moved in last June and we're super happy because we've still got our savings.
Such a pleasant change to witness a home reno with costs under control! Anything like this on traditional TV usually features folks from privileged backgrounds on a vanity kick, burning through money without concern, because they've never faced real difficulties or hard choices with lasting consequences. Well done for remaining sustainable and relatable with finances. I liked the real-time block moving sequence; a neat vignette to convey the gradual progress and endless graft involved in DIY renovation projects.
I love watching you pair fall even more deeply in love with your home. I'm so happy for you that this is coming true for you, and grateful to you for sharing this journey with us bunch of strangers on the internet.
When we was doing up our 1929 bungalow I called it our 15yr project, eventually it was under 12 yrs. The only reason for that length of time was that bulk of the work was being done by me with the help of a few good friends, all of whom had various skills. But coming from work and slaving until late at night plus weekends was extremely tiring, “and” we were living in it whilst all this was going on. During the rebuild I revised the budget several times simply because of cost increases etc over that time… However we now have the home that we worked so hard for. The only trouble is, it’s just like the fourth Road bridge. You get to the end then have to begin again, but this time it’s only decorating✊ … Good luck and eventually you’ll get your dream home Xx
Love your work ethic as you both work SO hard!! Always enjoy your Vlogs as the humour & love for each other is wonderful! Your “home” is worth every cent!! 💜💜🏳️🌈🐶😺🥂
You should be very proud of your achievements and I'm excited to see more renovations each week. I can see it is a lot of hard work, but you guys can do anything you put your minds and hands to. Cheers
Wow! At the start of the vlog I thought "These Lovely Ladies are caught between a rock (2 rocks actually! ) and a hard place" But begorrah you moved them! 🤣 Fascinating to hear all the outlays.....I converted the amounts to Aussie dollars and you have done extremely well compared to prices down under! "We did it" Ladies you can never put a value on how great that feeling is....and how many more of those treasured moments are to come! Stay safe and thanks for inviting us into your adventure! Cheers, Doons
I can’t tell you how much I love the fact you are keeping it traditional. It is going to be wonderful, thank you for taking us on this adventure too. Have an amazing week ❤
Wow that actually, like you said, is very reasonable for your dream house, which you are and will appreciate so much more because you have both put the blood sweat and tears in. I’m also from the South of England and you wouldn’t be able to get anything like that here. Can’t wait for each video, such a lovely couple who a,so don’t take life too seriously either. X
When you guys first started out my wife watched you endlessly, mainly to help gather tips/info for our new campervan adventures. Then she told me of your new property renovations in Ireland and I’ve been watching ever since. Having worked on a few houses in the UK not to the extent that you guys are doing, I am totally loving your drive and enthusiasm to work on this cottage. Sometimes I wonder, if I was younger would I do what you’re doing? I think I would! Louise you’re blessed with a trade that can keep the costs down and Emily you’re making sure that happens 😂 Look forward to watching the progress ladies 😊
Dear Louise and Emily, your videos ARE never boring. Ive just bought an old cottage in the Pennines that is over 200 years old, and you ladies have inspired me to do have a go at the repointing of the stone work that needs doing myself!!! Hot lime. I even bought some of Emily's 'finger' tools!!! Lol. Thanks for the correct name Louise. Can I just say Wow!!!! You got a bargain, despite the work that may need doing. It will be a beautifu, homestead once the work completed xxx.
Loooooved staring at the “Wall” behind you two in the beginning, gorgeous❣️ Hey, don’t forget about moving heavy items with something like 3 rounded pieces of timber (fence posts) as the Egyptians did. I have used that method many times on my farm, saved my back. Appreciate the financial background, very useful. As always adore you two (four)…💕🌺💕
Thank you for your authenticity and transparency with financials. It defo is daunting sharing money stuff so publicly, but you both are totally in a league of your own as this openness is rare online. I for one really appreciate it and this video deserves to get you both to 1,000,000 subs alone. Anyone who is going through the process, and considering pursuing their dream will find this video just absolutely fantastic.
Just think of the end project, it's going to be amazing & build by the two of you, what an amazing memory & all on film, perfect, awesome vlog girls ❣️🌹🙏🏼x
We love you girls,my wife and I have watched you for quite a while now, love your no click bate honestly, and wow Louise is such a grafter. No fear of anything, keep up your vlogs lovely ladies. We wish you all the luck in the world, and we are motorhome/campervan owners ❤
So much respect for your honesty on financial details. I’m from humble beginnings like you. Finances matter. The difference between reality & fantasy. Well done you two. 🙌🙌🙌
This was a great video. It brings back so many good memories of when I was married and building and renovating houses all over the country. (We got divorced right after we bought a new builder home, so the renovating had nothing to do with it. 🤣) Keep up the good work, you ate doing an awesome job. Thanks from Canada 🇨🇦 ❤
I replaced a hinge on the kitchen door in my van home. I am to diy as Ghengis Khan was to love and peace so I was v v proud of self. Then I watch you guys...😂 Its beyond impressive. Seriously, respect to you both. I almost shed a tear watching this one. Almost. Im a londoner so, you know, there are standards to maintain! Keep on keeping on girls. You're bloody amazing! Tracy and Moo the dog 🐕 ❤
You cannot put a price on your dream! Well bought ladies and since you're doing the bulk of work yourselves you're saving a lot of money in labor! You're very smart business women and becoming very proficient rebuilder/renovation experts.
I love Sundays when Camper Vibe and Rewilding Jude videos pop up. You work so hard and are such fun. We oldies can relive our youth through you. Thank you and good luck.
Good Morning! Another great video! Every time you show the drone shot of the property it just takes my breath away! Its such a stunning property. Its going to be a fun couple of years watching you restore those lovely buildings. Thanks for taking us along on your journey! Lordy thats some hard work!
I can't express how much I admire and respect the two of you. You're smart, hardworking, just the right amount of adventurous, funny, humble (yes, I said that 😅), kind, considerate, and so much more. I don't think I could ever get tired of following your journeys. Thank you for breaking down the costs as well. Someday I would like to do something like this on a smaller scale. 🫶❤️❤️❤️🙌
I can’t tell you enough how much I love watching the two of you each week, Sunday is now my favourite day because of it. You both work so hard & you must be bursting with pride when you look at what u’ve already achieved, I know I would be. It will be so amazing when you get to the point where you can actually start living in it & seeing what you’ve already done I don’t think it’s going to be that long! 😊😊 Have a great week, sending lots of love to you both & of course AJ & Summer xxxx
It's lovely that your breathing new life into this beautiful cottage ,and I just know you are both going to make it lovely and cosy . It's nice that you have gave people who may be looking to buy in Ireland some important details and cost . You are both an inspiration to others 😗😗
It’s so rare that people on TH-cam actually tell the truth about the financial side of things, quite a lot give the impression that you can live of the income from the videos. Thanks for being so honest, yet another reason why I like you gals. 👍👍❤❤
So sorry I haven't been on for a while but I had some heart n health issues that I had to take care of. But sorta feeling better now that I can get caught up on your videos. Take care ladies and I am going to watch the videos from where I left off.
The undying enthusiasm from you both is awesome! Plus having new knowledge on the journey with old techniques in the restoration is fascinating. Top sunday watch lasses!!🎉
Really like your honesty on all your costs and it's great that you're going to do as much as possible yourself's. Keep up the good work, see you next week. 👏👏
Love this xx I really came to your channel for the renovation (marginally addicted to seeing things move toward completion) and love your way of showing the progress ❤️ never boring watching the work happen :)
Fantastic editing!! Plus your amazing camera personalities! Your videos are better than “professional” higher budget TV shows. Such a pleasure each week. Thank you for maintaining the quality through all your hard work on your house.
You two bring so many smiles to my face. What you have accomplished already (omg that wall!) is something to be proud of and you will keep on and have more proud moments in the future. I appreciate you sharing it all with us.
It’s so heartwarming to see you both sharing the same vision and seeing you so happy. I love watching your vids, extremely entertaining and absolutely absorbing. Simply the best.
Love your videos girls. I say that because I am old enough to be your "older" mother. You are renovating your home similar to what my grandfather did in the 1930's. He lived in New England and build a 2 story colonial home but he only built it as he earned the money. He had a wife and two daughters, one being my mother. After purchasing the land up in the Berkshire Mountains, his brother helped him dig the basement. He then waited until he had the money to frame the house. He had a full basement and the first floor completed and the family lived in that until he earned enough money to build the second floor where the bedrooms where going to be. He built his dream home. You can do the same as the money comes in. Do not rush it it. Take your time and make it your own. Love to watch you two work. Keep up the great videos.
To be honest I,m glad it's going to take awhile as we get to see all that love you both are putting into that lovely home. I bet your bodies ache so much some days but that's what a chill down day is for you both deserve it😊
You are slaying it girls, def doing it while yr young. I've been where you are and know it's hard work. I'm in my sixties and couldn't do it now. Thankfully we are all done now. Love yr weekly updates. Keep up the great work. Love to both furries. ❤
I am so glad you still feel it is your dream home and location. So many times with big renovation like yours many people get buyers remorse. Feeling like they made a big mistake. Great work it fun to watch.
The freshly pointed wall and great job you did on the fencing and gates are an insight into how fantastic this is going to be. Can’t believe the saving by doing the Lime mix yourselves 💰 I think you are doing fabulous 🙌
Sundays take forever to roll round so ive been binge watching your older videos from 2/3yrs ago. The Cottage is coming along great can't wait to see the final result. Much ❤ Girl's
It is great to watch the renovation taking place. I had forgotten about your bathroom and bedroom, with the present stage you are at being so in-depth. You have done a great job with the money finances, making sure you have done things the best way forward for the both of you. Great to see Aj even if it was a sneak peak, how old is Aj now? Keep up the good work! Love to both of you. ❤❤
My mother bought a giant farmhouse table like that at a yard sale and everyone thought she was crazy, it's even got drawers (currently housing craft supplies)
At least your bank acted responsibly, by holding a large transaction. Postbank in Germany allowed Forty-thousand Euro-- that's right, 40K-- to be transferred to an untraceable offshore account in one unquestioned phished transaction, from a retiree's account that had a very stable and fixed income and outlay every month. It wiped out 98% of our retirement account, and Postbank was like, "OH, we don't have a way to trace that. It went to the Cayman Islands somewhere..." If they had ONLY held a suspicious transaction for 6 hours, much less 24, we wouldn't have lost our savings. So be thankful they have that policy, and hope that they always employ it.
It sounds like you've got rural construction figured out perfectly! You guys are a real asset to a part of Ireland that needs exactly what you bring: New life, enthusiasm, respect for the natural world around you and a great "get on with it" attitude. I can't wait until you start reaping the rewards of your courage, your investment and your blisters, skinned knuckles and cement-eaten skin!
Just started watching you through a recommendation. What a fantastic life you have! Lots of hard work in store with your property but you have such a wonderful attitude and I wish you all the luck in the world.
Just an idea for your dining table, I used scaffolding planks for the table top, and rebar for the frame (legs). Also made a coffee table & corner unit with the same materials. Have to say it looks fabulous, I love it 😃 (just a suggestion)

I have a complaint about this video…… It’s not long enough! Enjoying your story, can’t wait to see more!
Never long enough!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣

I can't express how much I admire and respect the two of you. You're smart, hardworking, just the right amount of adventurous, funny, humble (yes, I said that 😅), kind, considerate, and so much more. I don't think I could ever get tired of following your journeys. Thank you for breaking down the costs as well. Someday I would like to do something like this on a smaller scale. 🫶❤️❤️❤️🙌
I've never felt bored watching your video's. They, and you both, are a delight! ❤😊🇦🇺

It’s so heartwarming to see you both sharing the same vision and seeing you so happy. I love watching your vids, extremely entertaining and absolutely absorbing. Simply the best.
Thank you, that’s very kind of you
Love your videos girls.
I bet your bodies ache so much some days but that's what a chill down day is for you both deserve it😊
I’m so full of admiration for you two! What a great job you’re doing! Xxx
You are slaying it girls, def doing it while yr young. I've been where you are and know it's hard work. I'm in my sixties and couldn't do it now. Thankfully we are all done now. Love yr weekly updates. Keep up the great work. Love to both furries. ❤
Awesome plans girlies..lots of hard work..but ..the future looks fabulous..I see you both in the cozy kitchen🥰
You’re doing great! Loving the progress.
Hola girls. I also think you got a real bargain despite the work, beautiful property in a beautiful place. Never boring, loving it all. ❤
I am so glad you still feel it is your dream home and location. So many times with big renovation like yours many people get buyers remorse. Feeling like they made a big mistake. Great work it fun to watch.
Oh god no, we absolutely love it 😀😀
The freshly pointed wall and great job you did on the fencing and gates are an insight into how fantastic this is going to be. Can’t believe the saving by doing the Lime mix yourselves 💰 I think you are doing fabulous 🙌
😀😀😀
It's a lot of fun watching you do all this work, we're right behind you!

Well done both!
Lovely to see you both each weekend. Its such hard work renovating a old cottage .
But once its done it will look amazing
I love the fact you had a dream and that you are follow through with it. It’s great watching your ideas and plans coming to life. X
Well done you 2❤
Hi guys love the and the hand work you have done have a lovely week 😊😊😊😊
Thanks and you
My mother bought a giant farmhouse table like that at a yard sale and everyone thought she was crazy, it's even got drawers (currently housing craft supplies)
Oh I bet it’s lovely
At least your bank acted responsibly, by holding a large transaction. Postbank in Germany allowed Forty-thousand Euro-- that's right, 40K-- to be transferred to an untraceable offshore account in one unquestioned phished transaction, from a retiree's account that had a very stable and fixed income and outlay every month. It wiped out 98% of our retirement account, and Postbank was like, "OH, we don't have a way to trace that. It went to the Cayman Islands somewhere..."
If they had ONLY held a suspicious transaction for 6 hours, much less 24, we wouldn't have lost our savings.
Oh yeah it all sounds lovely the last part right 😂 will be totally worth it mind
Just started watching you through a recommendation. What a fantastic life you have! Lots of hard work in store with your property but you have such a wonderful attitude and I wish you all the luck in the world.
You ladies are amazing - love seeing the results weekly from your hard work....:)
Can’t wait to see it completed! So proud of you both.
Just an idea for your dining table, I used scaffolding planks for the table top, and rebar for the frame (legs). Also made a coffee table & corner unit with the same materials. Have to say it looks fabulous, I love it 😃 (just a suggestion)
