    www.How2Wrench.com broke the mold of the delivery of tech training. We offer professional tech training over the phone. Your shop, your schedule. If you have Apple products, we can even provide guided assistance over Facetime. (I suggest asking a friend to borrow theirs now!)
    Imagine this… you’re in your shop wrenching away and you get stuck. You just hit a wall and no matter how hard you try, you can’t find a next step. You reach for the phone and hit speed dial. The number saved in your favorites is your personal coach at How2wrench! No sitting through hours of TH-cam videos, websites or giving up!
    You can schedule time with a veteran technician to walk you through what you’re wrenching on. You can email info, photos and details directly to trainer. It’s the next closest thing to us sitting right next to you.
    This service is intended to fill the gap in many areas of need. Let me list a few:
    The DIY person needing help with a specific skill
    A tech just needing an advanced lesson or next step in their knowledge base
    Someone who would give anything to drop everything and move to a tech school but life just didn’t deal those cards. They understand the learning curve may take longer but are relentless in their desire to learn.
    Observant parents lacking the skill sets to teach their kids mechanics but see them craving to use tools and their hands.

    Because you know how to do electrical work, explaining it and understanding it comes naturally. Although helpful, for someone like me who forgets something after just reading it watching your video makes better sense than to read a manual and be confused. My xr650l has a starting issue, only clicks at the starter relay. According to test battery has a good reading, cleaned all my grounds and connections, fuses, switches, contacts all good, replaced my starter relay but still clicking. My last best hope is a starter I ordered, if that doesn't work I'll be looking for answers

    it seemed to get better after you energized it a few times. I wonder if it would have knocked the corrosion off if you had kept energizing it repeatedly? Then maybe it would have operated right again???

    So if you have continuity between the two posts on the starter solenoid, replace? Seems easy enough.

  • @Jonj57

    You should do a video on Turn signals and relay loads, a lot of people think their relays are broken but there isn't enough load. A vid on that could help a lot of beginning restorers and mechanics

    If you are having this problem as I was, take the Solenoid apart and clean it. Just as the outside can become corroded so can the inside. The Solenoid is not a part that works all the time, it just works to start the motor/Starter. Once you return the Key to the run position (not the Start) the starter stops doing its job.

    • @How2Wrench
      @How2Wrench  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Solenoid is riveted....and most do not come apart. Please Use New Email: how2wrench@gmail.com
