Best explanation on how test a starter relay i found. Just need to figure out why my 05 Yamaha Bruin 350 acts like it has a dead battery when ever i try to use the electric start. Starts just fine using the pull cord but it's a pain in keister and it just about broke my wrist the other day. It has a new battery and starter but seemed like it had quite a bit drag right out of the box but didn't think much of it then because it worked fine at 1st
That shit happens to me after washing my bike, i was so worried, i did not disconnect the battery and leave it overnight! Thank god my bike is not on fire
I own a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 500. I was riding it the other day and had shut it off and started it a few times without any problems. It was running and when I went to take off, it died on me. I made sure it was in neutral and everything was set to go, when I pushed on the started button all it did was buzz loudly and rudely, but it wouldn't start. After a few tries with the same loud buzz and nothing else, I took the side cover off and believe I found the relay switch that was making the noise. I am having a lot of trouble getting the relay switch out, is there a trick to removing it? and do you feel that this is indeed the problem?
it sounds like a battery problem if your getting a buzz sound from the relay. to remove the relay you have to get it out from the rubber boot holder there is no real trick but found if you wiggle it side to side then you an get the whole holder out and remove it from there. also check your battery with a volt meter it should read at 12.7 - 13.4v
Hey buddy, my bike just gave out as I was riding, the 10 amp ignition fuse blew out and every time I replace it and try to start the bike it blows. I changed my rectifier and no luck. Hope can help. Thank you, always enjoy your videos.
if it keeps blowing the fuse when you turn the key that means you have a short somewhere on the bike you will have to check all wires on the bike till you pin point the problem. I have a video on that very same situation>> th-cam.com/video/fhnyPFsl5i4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wEKaVw6JFF0OAeqD
Really nice video very helpful However my boke wich is a 600 honda transalp 1991 the relay clicks but once he clicks the bike wont crank it just stops and eats all the battery any idea is it a bad relay? Also when i push it in gear the bike starts Already checked the starter motor works fine Thanks in advance
MY PROBLEM IS WITH KEY OUT CONNECT BATTERY AND THE STARTER MOTOR RUNS. is this because the contacts are stuck together ran ok weeks ago until i recharged battery? i don't even have to press starter button just runs.
@@ACProductions77 without turning the key OR pressing the start button it automatically starts. As soon as battery contacts are connected. so that would mean because it seeing power from the battery all the time its stuck maybe?
@@ACProductions77 yep took it of voltmeter across contact to starter and battery side connections AND HAD CONTINUITY hit it with screwdriver and went ok but i will be replacing it. hope this helps some people on here. thank god for voltmeters.
what is when you hit the starter button on the handlebar but nothing happens ? is the relay also brocken ore is my handlebar starter brocken. I bypass the starter motor on the starter relays the engine starts. So that means my relays ore my starter button is broken.
could be that the contacts on the button are no good, or not enough battery power to start the engine, if your starter rely was the problem then you would not have any lights on gauge cluster.
@ACProductions77 the lights are good. The fuel pumps make noises. I can start the bike with pushing it in 2 Gear and it starts normally. I must test if my start button switches ore my relays is switching. Perhaps the coil is broken.
if you keep popping fuses every time you install one in then that means u have a short somewhere on the bike & will have to go through all the wiring to find it which will be time consuming & tedious
This is the first video I watched that made everything clear to me. Thank you very much.
You’re welcome glad I was able to help

I have an 06 and I'm having the exact same problem
@@jameslb261 I found out it was the starter itself
the clearest video on this subject , much appreciated , Pete UK
Really enjoyed your video, very clear.
Si je change le fusible vert en regardant bien si il a grillé noircit ca peut redémarrer mon scooter honda 125 ?
what is the reading over the big coil once the small one is energised?
That shit happens to me after washing my bike, i was so worried, i did not disconnect the battery and leave it overnight! Thank god my bike is not on fire
interesting ! what is the purpose of the small coil ?
im not 100% of what the internals exactly do.
Excellent video man

could be the battery, is it fully charged?

so once you turn the key it just automatically starts? w/o pressing the starter switch

ah ok then yes the terminal are fused stuck, try replacing it with a new one. hope it helps@@JOHNMINKA

If the starter relay is showing up the noise but it's not starting what can be the problem then.
then it could be the starter, fuel pump, fuel injectors, ignition coils, dead battery, loose battery cables its hard to say

@@AlexFZ8 it could be a possibility.
U can also use a 9v battery 🔋 as well 😊
Good video thank you 😊
Good job!
I have 0.0volt coils fault code 12 no start but working everything
im not sure as i havent had that code come up
I have a fuse going off in this place I don't know what the solution is😢
if you keep popping fuses every time you install one in then that means u have a short somewhere on the bike & will have to go through all the wiring to find it which will be time consuming & tedious
Have clicking thought maybe it was the wires short that clips into the relay
not sure in your case
How do you burn a 2005 gsxr600 to the ground 😅
I have no idea as this video is for 17-23 gsxr 1000 owners
solo te falto probar que al accionar el rele pase corriente de un punto al otro.
