I always felt the scene at the end with Shinzon and Picard, was emphasising the fact that Picard had all throughout his career tried to find a peaceful resolution during conflicts. However when it came to a conflict with a version of himself, a very powerful young and somewhat likeable version of himself, the Only resolution available, no matter what Picard did, was to destroy. I think they were trying to expand upon his well establish character trait, to never destroy, and undermine conflict rather than overpower it. Again I felt like they were emphasising that killing Shinzon, was like looking in the mirror and killing himself. Or killing his own son / brother / friend, who strongly resembles himself.. something like that. To me, that’s why he was left reflecting so deeply, when the obvious danger to everyone on Earth was immediately imminent.
I would accept that in the film if they explained it. If that was the case, there should be a scene afterwards with Riker or Troi where Picard explains how he was upset that he did or something. But there is nothing. Your thought there would have fixed the movie. If they had a scene like that.
@@mikematei I feel that the earlier set up, of Picard learning that Shinzon is his clone, established his need to connect with, and promote, the inner good side of Shinzon, which reflects Picard himself, in a dualism theory sort of way.
I feel like it was established that he was considering going beyond Star fleet protocols, to try and promote the good in Shinzon, and that in the end, failing this completely, broke him.
But I may be remembering it with plot-hole-fill in mode of my brain acting upon the memory.

This game still looks, plays and sounds better than all its counterfits like Kabuki fighter, Shatter hand, Kick master, Power Blade, Vice project doom and so on
I tried this game last night and couldn't even beat the first stage. I'm as bad as Mike is good; we're the yin/yang of video games.

My brother tried that with Flashback on SNES. We took it over to our grandmas but our controller was broke. We watched the opening (awesome for the time) skit over and over and by messing with the controller plug we could move the guy just enough to fall off the cliff, and see a little more of the level. Haha.
Damn this brings back memories. Me and my best friend used to play this all the time. Great gameplay, music, and graphics. An awesome game for the time.

A very difficult task, but if you know what are you doing and sometimes take a safe route, is possible the no-death run, nicely done.
Playing a game while simultaneously having a captivating conversation while streaming is unbelievable. I couldn't even talk to a buddy on the couch while playing this.

I agree! Cobra kai is the best reboot to date, and there’s been a lot of reboots lately. The trip to Japan was def a good idea - the miyagi magic lives on 👍🏻

I loved SUNSOFT back then. Blaster Master was a fantastic game that seemed to go way under the radar.
I've played this game so much since childhood, I can get to the joker almost without dying. It wasn't until just recently that I was able to beat The joker. Actually it was watching you play it on James and Mike Mondays they gave me the tip on how to beat him.

Mike, you are actually incorrect. In the original Karate Kid movie, Mr. Miagi sent Danial out into the tide of the ocean and Danial had to stand on one leg against the incoming tide. When he did that, Mr. Miagi said "go, learn balance." Later in the movie Mr. Miagi told Danial that the lesson on balance was not just for karate, but for "whole life." Then he told Danial to go find balance with Ali. Then at the end of the movie when he asked Mr. Miagi to fix his leg and Mr. Miagi refused, Danial told Mr. Miagi that if he didn't win the tournament he would never have balance with the Cobra Kai's, Ali, or himself. So there were a lot of lessons about balance in the original movie.
You have tenacity, that's for sure! I would have given up after the second attempt.

This game really made me wish that the bosses (Killer Moth, Electrocutioner, and Firebug) were more popular. None of them made it into TAS and all three hare pretty cool concept-wise and the cyborg look the game gives all three of them really works. What a shame.
Agree with the Miyagi magic missing. It felt a little empty without it. This one is the best season yet. Loved that they brought back more of the original characters also.

Hey Mike, have you thought about doing this challenge called 1CC which stands for 1 Credit Clear? Basically you have to play a game and don't use continues. Like you have as many lives as you want along with extra lives, but once you lose your last life and the continue screen shows up you aren't allowed to continue anymore. It's another challenge like no death but more manageable though still tough for a lot of games. You can do this for retro and arcade style games as well. It's very common for arcade games but also works for console games.
Im glad that KFC console thing was just a quick joke that fell flat in the end.

2:28 I couldn't get too into the Hillary Swank one but on a critical level I'll admit its a little better than Part III.
I enjoyed all of them, but, like with maybe everyone who worked on the movie, I probably just thought Swank was cute and didn't realize how good or bad the movie was. The Jackie chan one was surprisingly good but I agree should've been titled "Kung-Fu Kid" instead or something

GG Mike. This is one of the few games i could actually beat back in the day, once you get good enough at it from practicing the whole game is a breeze and the only part that's really difficult after that is the final fight with the Joker, but once you learn his pattern even that fight is fairly easy.

Half of this video is him grinding one re-spawning enemy for 25 minutes to refill his health when he could've just used the enemy directly to the right of him to get the hearts

One of my favourite games growing up....my intuition didn't fail me on this one when I picked it.....bdw. nes, snes, genesis, master system games aged the best out of all other consoles....look at this sunsoft Batman game...it's just pixelart at it's finest and the music is top notch ⚡👍

Just finished Cobra Kai season 3. It's definitely worthy and one of my favorite shows. I'm normally picky but have no big issues with it. Very well crafted and great character arcs.

In your Dick Tracy stream you mentioned that you considered playing the first Rayman game. I hope you will cause that game is amazing! The music and the character design are totally unique and the gameplay is really tight. It takes some time for you to gain all your powers though so in the beginning you might not find it all that special, but give it time. It is a beautiful game.

It's amazing that Karate Kid got a better thirty-years-later sequel than Star Wars. And on for that matter, it's nuts that Dark Crystal got a better prequel than Star Wars. And both made for streaming services!

There was some Miyagi magic in the first season of Cobra Kai when Daniel teaches Robby the one armed handstand double leg kick move? Then Robby uses it on Miguel in the tournament match.
