You need to make a box with a cutout and stick a huge filter on the other side. I recommend a HEPA straight away. The bin gets a bit cloudy when using the bags as every bag jas the leaks.
I find bags to be superior when I switched from a shark auto empty to an s9. The bags keep the dust in one location and the entire base is cleaner after a few months.
Beautiful design! In other areas, the bin is actually Bagless, using cyclones. And European countries are lucky, because they have a hybrid, using bags and Bagless. Also, I believe the suction increases based on the setting you choose.
@@MrBlueCreeper Awesome! I was wondering why it uses a bag, I hate bags - they're so wasteful and yesterday's tech. I wonder why the US version has a bag? Are there some regulatory issues?
@@MrBlueCreeper I would argue that there is no "best of both worlds" because there is literally no advantage to having bags. They're wasteful and they're an ongoing expense. A proper bagless system is always better than any bagged system. Bags are outdated, inefficient technology and need to be retired from all vacuums.
@@mjc0961 I agree. I wish the US had the bagless system. Why did Roborock make the Self-Emptying bin bags only I don't know, but it is holding many people back from getting the Roborock Auto-Empty Dock. The Bagless system is way better for the environment, not having to keep purchasing new bags makes consumer's experience much better, and the bagless system Roborock developed uses a Cyclone system with 15 cyclones, meaning the Bagless system will perform much better! However, some people have allergy issues and might prefer a bag, so that's why I wished the US had the best of both worlds. I would use the bags provided so that the air is clean, and then when I run out of the bags, I would use the Bagless system on the Auto-Empty Dock so that I can keep liberating my hands for 6 weeks. I just got the S5MAX best investment. Roborock is a great brand for robo vacuums. I like manually emptying bun because I also like giving the robot a wipe down. I have a small apartment but this emptying bin would be good for large homes.
Just got the auto empty dock and gave it a run. I am a little disappointed with its ability to remove dog and cat hairs from the bin. After running the cycle, only the front half of the bin where the openings locate, is empty. While all the dog hairs are stuck in the back. Not sure if it will improve after a few runs. Update: Just finished another cycle with full bin of dog hairs. The bin was completely clean afterwards. I guess it needs to have a full bin to work.

Love these reviews! Been looking at getting a new robot vacuum with a self emptying bin, Any chance you’ll also be looking at the Ecovacs Deebot t9+? Thanks!
I wonder how this stacks up against the Deebot n8 pro+. I think Amazon has that setup with the dock for 600. Seems like a good deal. I love roborock I have the s4 but 650 for the vac and 299 for the dock seems a bit much.
I'm curious why you don't mention the obvious advantage that the Roomba's have. Unlike the others you've reviewed, the Roomba's know when their bin is full and will return to empty mid cycle. They don't continue running until their bins are overfilled and clog the emptying chute.
And your roomba fills itself mid cycle, even when set to empty and clean on a daily basis? Gosh either you have a really dirty house, or a really large one. Either way, either of which are issues 99% of the population will face.
The point of getting a robot vacuum cleaner is that you can set it to clean your house more often than you would. Unless you house is REALLY dirty or you purposely leave the robot not doing its job for days or weeks, this feature is not something I would deem as crucial.
i look at the docks from a price to use standpoint. i have the shark IQ with dock. its bagless. and works great because we have 3 pets. so every weekend i empty it and its full of hair. its why i didnt go with the roomba i9. while i liked the vacuum better. the fact it used a bag was a deal breaker for me. maybe ill look into this one as the shark while good. the app is very meh.

I’ve been watching your videos trying to see if you have any definite recommendation for best vacuum for those with allergies and pets and have mostly (medium pile) carpet. I don’t like the new apex or vertex rollers or powered lift aways because they create more resistance when pulling backwards. I also like the swivel head but hate how narrow it is on the shark. I got so disappointed when I saw the station was bagged. Just making the carbon footprint 👣 bigger and bigger. I hope there will be a bagless cyclonic version as it is much SAFER to clean 1 or 2 plastic bins rather then spitting the dust from the bag which can jet so easily an it could get messier than the bagless.

How do you like it? We have 2700 sq ft carpet, tile and vinyl. One Persian cat and 1 girl. Concerned about pet hair and ability to clean carpets. Any issues with emptying the dirt bin or hair breaking or getting stuck on rollers etc? How is the maintenance? Does it auto detect when the on-board bin is full and go back to the base for a clean or does it keep cleaning but doing a poor job because the bin is full? Does the robot detect when the outside waste bin bag is full?
Did you replace the bin the one that comes with the dock?
Anybody know if this dock will work with a Q7 MAX?
Love these reviews! Been looking at getting a new robot vacuum with a self emptying bin, Any chance you’ll also be looking at the Ecovacs Deebot t9+? Thanks!
With some saudering and programming do you think plumbing the dust into the central vac is achievable?
Please please please make an in-depth review of the NARWAL. Please
I wonder how this stacks up against the Deebot n8 pro+. I think Amazon has that setup with the dock for 600. Seems like a good deal. I love roborock I have the s4 but 650 for the vac and 299 for the dock seems a bit much.
The dock is $300?? Damn
@@brandon_nope It hasn't been released yet, only pre order, and black is sold out everywhere.
Now Amazon has the d8 pro+ for 550 seems like a good deal.
Would you do a review for roborock s7 vs Narwal t10? Thanks
I'm waiting from you a review with 360 S10 vacuum cleaner.
If we want the european bagless dock, can we still buy it? Or will it not be compatible with the power sockets here in the U.S.?
Sucking the dirt out the way it came in is pretty smart. If nothing else fewer holes, ports, valves, channels, etc need to be added to the design.
I agree.
Can you please do an Electrolux Epic 2500 or 3500 series test?
Is it suck the hair like normal vacum do or its just gathered in the brush ?
I would expect the bin is bagless though :( I need a vacuum and mop, 2in1..wondering if there will be a video on this topic in 2021 :)
Excellent video! Thanks! This set up is top of my list to replace my roomba 631. It's served me well.
Thanks! I hope you enjoy it.
Do you really need the docking station or could you get by fine without one if you are home everyday?
I think it is just a matter of preference!
Unless you house is REALLY dirty or you purposely leave the robot not doing its job for days or weeks, this feature is not something I would deem as crucial.
how much a tank refill last? is it enough for a 200ft2 room?
I have deep pile rugs. I would like to know how these work on those. My Roomba doesn’t go onto these rugs.
i look at the docks from a price to use standpoint. i have the shark IQ with dock. its bagless. and works great because we have 3 pets. so every weekend i empty it and its full of hair. its why i didnt go with the roomba i9. while i liked the vacuum better. the fact it used a bag was a deal breaker for me. maybe ill look into this one as the shark while good. the app is very meh.
I'm so torn between the S7 and the N8 Pro+.
Bought the S7 on this canels recomendation, bern wating for this auto empty dock since.

Wow, very cool! But........until the two collecting bins can then go outside and empty themselves in the trash, I'm sticking with my iRobot!!🤣
Where did you get the air flow meter from that you use I like to get one
Will you be reviewing and/or comparing with the Dreametech W10?
I’ve been watching your videos trying to see if you have any definite recommendation for best vacuum for those with allergies and pets and have mostly (medium pile) carpet. I don’t like the new apex or vertex rollers or powered lift aways because they create more resistance when pulling backwards. I also like the swivel head but hate how narrow it is on the shark. I don’t mind weight of a vacuum as long as it’s easy to push and pull on carpet. Is Kirby the way to go if you want something awesome on carpet and don’t need anything for hard floors?
Is it worth it for people who have long hair, or does it require too much manual detangling for the automation to be useful?
Wich one was the best vac and mop with lift pad capability?
Saying to myself....*Stick with the S6* - *Stick with the S6* - *Stick with the S6* - *Stick with the S6* - *Stick with the S6*
must not upgrade! must resist and keep my s6
This looks so cool thanks for sharing👌👌
Thanks for watching!
@@VacuumWars always 👌👌
Can you do a "best" 12 volt car vacuum testing? I live in a community where they don't allow any type of shop vac... cordless or corded. Much appreciated!
Good tip! Thanks!
A few weeks ago Bed Beth and Beyond put the Roomba i7+ on sale for $499 with the base plus they gave you an extra $100 to use on another order. I couldn't pass that one up and bought another one.
I hope you are happy with it!
@@VacuumWars I am. Thanks for the helpful content.
Will it go through dinning chairs that are under table? And will it transfer tile to carpet ?
Yes
Hey, after your review I bought deboot Osmo, it’s a goood one but he get stuck a lot with cables, socks etc :)) so I have to upgrade to make it useful. Could you recommend me new one with camera?? Thanks
Glad roborock finally has an auto empty bin, but I’m disappointed there’s no way I can use my s6 max v
HI in some market the roborock auto empty dock is available i am told as bag less. Can this work without the bag? Otherwise is a step backwards back to bag vacuum cleaners
We are selling Dust Bag for Roborock S7 / S7+ Vacuum Cleaner Auto-Empty Dock on Amazon, which are exactly the same as the original ones. If you need it, you can contact me and I can send it to you for free.
Any chance you’ll be reviewing the Narwhal? I’m totally not there yet but I’m interested in your thoughts
I have got the S7 station and tested it with an Q7max. It doesn't work. The dirt is still in the robot. Another user says it should work. Do you know?
Bag capacity doesn't depend on usage, it depends on the level of dirt. yeah? The bag could last 8 years if you used it everyday, but lived in a class 100 clean room.

Which one would you have chosen between S5 Max or S6maxV? If i got it right they are kinda the same machines just the camera in the S6maxV that is the differens?
The S6maxV has a much stronger processor, which makes it more efficient. Take a look at this video here - th-cam.com/video/U2xpwdZh0KQ/w-d-xo.html
@@VacuumWars thanks! But what i can see, it seems like the s5 Max is stronger? :O the link is for s6?
just got one but the bin wont empty. i followed all the instructions and removed the air flow cap inside. i don't know whats wrong. it makes the noise like it is emptying but the thing stays full inside the robot. nothing has come out
Excellent review! Do you know where the Roborock S7+ ( S7 with Auto Empty Dock) can be purchased for UK/EU customers? I can't find it anywhere! I've been holding out on purchasing a robo vac and I feel this is the one I need but I just can't find anywhere to purchase it from.
Not that I know of.
Does the S5 max also have an auto empty dock?
Hi, Can you do a review on the new Samsung Jetbot 90+ Non-AI version? It currently has a promotion that brings the price down to 699 USD, which is a very competitive price point!
I'm taking note. thanks for the vote.
My Jet Bot AI+ and Jet Bot + review is out now - th-cam.com/video/YQEL-xLJLfY/w-d-xo.html
Does this s7 roborock require a monthly subscription or membership in order to run? Is the app downloaded for free?
Help me out here- I'm 12 days in with a new s5 Max, do we go for the s7? I like how much power the Max has, but what do we do?!
I hope you enjoy it!
The auto empty dock won't change the fact that the mop doesn't dry well and smells bad if you forget to remove it after it cleaned the house. So I won't by it, for 300€, I'll do it myself when I'm changing the mop
are you going to review the samsung jetbot 90 ai + ? i think that's their new top of the line robot to compete with higher end rombas and neatos, would love to see how its ai stacks up against the one on deebot ozmos
I'm looking forward to checking that out. It's been on back order for a while.

I would be scared if I was dust in your home.
Nice rug. Where did you buy it from?
Are the bags reusable or do you have to buy a ton of bags for it?
I got so disappointed when I saw the station was bagged. Just making the carbon footprint 👣 bigger and bigger. I hope there will be a bagless cyclonic version as it is much SAFER to clean 1 or 2 plastic bins rather then spitting the dust from the bag which can jet so easily an it could get messier than the bagless.
@Trey Tanner Yeah it closes, clever design. But not for people with allergies.
Excellent, as always, TY! Also, will you be testing the Shark AI VACMOP™, Robot Vacuum and Mop with Self-Cleaning Brushroll, AI Advanced Navigation (RV2001WD)?
Would you be able to review the Spanish brand Cecotec? They seem to have amazing robot vaccuums.
Did they solve the problem the side brush gets tangled in long hair carpets? Why no one tests it???
Do you have plans on reviewing the narwal robot cleaner?
The bad thing is, these are sold out everywhere! RoboRock now sells the S7 with the empty dock but just the empty dock has been sold out for weeks. :(
Yeah that has been really difficult.
Are roborock vacuums affected by iRobot virtual wall units? Thanks for your great reviews!
Is there a robot wet carpet cleaner/shampooer? Or a robot cleaner that removes tough stains on carpet?
Not that I know of right now. Sorry!
What about the newer roborocks? Like the s9?
Can you tell how to add room in app my is not add
