heres some advice for all you out there that are not rich yuppies that can aford to drop 60-80gs on a truck but want to have fun. . buy a base STX 09-14 with a 5.0l engine with a 6 speed trans, there bullet proof basic yet modern enough and have far fewer CPUs and electronics to fail. add a super charger and enjoy daily
This is the kind of comment I needed to read. I'm back and forth. I need to go older if I want a race truck but the creature comforts are so attractive..
You have created a BADASS truck and exactly the type of inspiration I was looking for. You’re extremely well thought out and well spoken and I appreciate you pricing out about every option you could think of. Keep the content up! You gained a subscriber here for sure

This right here. This is why you see all these ford dealers discoun the hell out of Roushes at the end of the year. I love the look of the Roush, but after the roughly 15k in suspension, wheels, tires and SC, the other $15k is leather and stickers.
I bought a 2014 F-150 and had Ford put a roush supercharger on it. They called it the RT570 or something for 570 horsepower I guess. I took it back to Ford to tune it again 3 times because it felt too weak for me. They finally said this is what it is and they cant get more out of it. I took it to a dyno to see and it made a whopping 389 horsepower... yeah im hating on roush because of that crap.
@@BackroadDriver yup, I still drive it from time to time. I put headers on it and had it dyno tuned. I'm sitting at 530 hp to the ground when I was in Denver. Might be a little more at sea level.
I know what you're saying, and I'm doing basically the same thing with my 2020 Oxford white F150XLT Sport. I've owned it for a little over a month, I paid $55000 for it with a 6" rough country lift on 20" Moto Metals, 35" Autro MT'S. I'm adding all the external Shelby badging and a whipple 3.0 supercharger to make a $65,000 Shelby clone that's BETTER for $40,000 LESS!!!! Just one suggestion, more exhaust and less music with those FREE DOUGHNUTS 😎👍
Great build !🇺🇸I’m looking into getting one of the Ford regular cab 5.0 4WD w 3.55 rear locker, side exhaust ,Bell Tech lowering aftermarket 22’s They supercharge them and carry 3 year factory warranty.I don’t need 4 doors ...Great Channel & New Subscriber 😎🙌🙌🇺🇸Happy 2021

I guess colder in to start with the better. I will ask VMP. Whipple has went to the same setup. Maybe the double surface area for cooling by putting it on top is more beneficial than a smaller cooler below the rotor pack.

Nice. Baught me a 2018 Ford F-150 Lariat fx4 sport package with a 5.0l v8 Roush supercharger for 38k and only 17k miles on it 5 months ago. 😁👍👍👍👍👍 Absolutely love it. Its more loaded up than a platinum. 😁😁😁👍👍👍 Absolutely dumb to buy new!!!!!!!
They smile big time and say holy Shit. This is Awesome!!!!!! They tell me I basically stole my truck. I absolutely love it. They all want one now.😁❤👍👍👍
I have a 2019 XLT Sport 5.0 and thinking about supercharging it with a lowering kit. Did you have to do anything to the rear diff or trans? Also, what gear ratio is yours? I got the 3:31 for better fuel economy and was told with the 10 speed it was the best choice.
The factory rear diff can handle the power. If you have the e-locker (if the 4x4 knob pulls out you do) then you have enough to launch very good. If not, like me, you will want to install a limited slip diff. If you are lowering I will assume you are running factory size tires or lower in which case your gear ratio is adequate. My 35” tires are the reason I need to change my ratio. I am adding the LSD and a new gear ratio. I have to do the front and rear diff. It will be much faster. If you watch my earlier videos you will see how good my experience with VMP was/is. I highly recommend ODIN. Thanks for watching!
I ordered 2020 single cab with roush supercharger tax title everything was under 50 I just like the single cab look less features but I didn't buy it for that
I don’t mean to throw any shade on Roush. My truck compares to the big soft road Roush truck and that’s kind of what I modeled after. I’ve heard awesome things about Beechmont. Can’t wait to see your truck!
Why add power mods to a truck that's leveled with mudders? The suspension and tires are going to kill the trucks performance potential on the street. Spend money to make power, then spend more money to make it not stop, hook, or go around curves.
Dude you are comparing the cost of a used 2018 to a brand new 2o20. It's not a fair comparison. Now compare a 2020 f150 brand new with all the mods and tell me the difference. Also, I have the stage 2 Roush and have had it dyno'd to 695hp. It's not 750 but only an extra 1000 for the stage 2 and dyno. I have a 2017 Roush f150 4x4 and paid 72k brand new in 2017 from Tindol Ford in Gastonia NC. Here is link to a picture of my dyno results. Results pictured are to the wheel. www.dropbox.com/s/4xsyrhmlgjwm90f/2020-08-23%2012.23.46.jpg?dl=0
You are right, it’s not apples to apples. I’m just saying you can buy a 2018 up and build a truck that is more customized if you like to do custom. I love the Roush trucks and should have said that more in the video. That’s where I got my idea. I almost bought one but thought building one would be way better for TH-cam. Thanks for watching. I’m only 600HP at the wheels.
I call it bullshit on 2017 stage 2 Roush F150 being 695HP. So it happens I owned 2017 Roush F150 Supercharged build on Lariat 502A Chassis before I got 2019 Roush Raptor. 2017 came as Stage 1 600HP crank (485WHP) with 3/36,000 warranty or you had option to go to Stage 2 650HP crank (510WHP) without warranty (not your imaginary 695HP). For 2015-2017 Roush used smaller 2.3L blower. On 2018-2020 Roush used 2.65L blower which picked up Stage 1 to 650HP crank. They offered Stage 2 for 2018-2020 700HP crank but later on they took it down from their website. There was never Stage 2 at 695HP on 2015-2017 Roush F150. To make 2017 Roush F150 695WHP as you say on the Dyno (because thats what Dyno measures ... it gives you Wheel HorsePower) that would be approximately 850HP crank. You need to spend another $15-20K to do that to 2017 Roush F150 in order to achive 695WHP. I dont actually even think that Roush Supercharger on 2017 F150 be able to push this power. I know for a fact that your stock Roush Injectors, Fuel pump etc. are not enough for your imaginary 695HP.

good setup!
that supercharger is expensive
a twin from on3 will cost $7k with the injectors and oil pump gears
no install price though.
Man that truck is sweet. Great job bro. I'd have to tow a 18' long landscape trailer tho lol.
Dude that’s siiick. I’d love to supercharge mine.

Odin is the bomb! We are about to update the fuel system, add e85, and pulley down.

One thing I will say about Roush is it is safe. It stays in the zone of power that won’t blow your engine.
Yeah that's true. They tuned it very conservatively but it wasn't even worth putting the supercharger on for how they tuned it. But its decent now.

How long did they take for the install ? So from the time you dropped it off till the time you got I back ??
It was down at VMP about a month.

Where are you located?
You mentioned a Raptor. I’ve got a 22 Raptor on order. You reckon you’ll get another Raptor?
Probably not unless they put the Predator in it. Once you get the big power you can’t go back.
does your have a warranty?
Nope
I think I mentioned that in the video.
P.S do you have a link for supercharger,& pulleys
For a VMP ODIN Kit?
