Bubbles might look inoffensive but there's a thing called cavitation bubbles. 7:30 What about the rhydon that uses surf in the battle when Ash is supposed to double battle with Paul? I don't remember there being water on the field prior to that
I'd argue Withdraw barely qualifies as a Water move, since most sprites for the move show the Pokemon being encased in an Oyster or Clam shell, and we can draw a speculation that the pokemon is using Water Magic to withdraw into a Clam or Oyster shell.
I hate to be that guy who goes "ACTUALLY" but somebody has to and I guess it's me. Splash isn't a water Type move its normal. This is because in Japan the move is called hop instead of splash and hopping isn't very watery. I think they changed the name because magikarp Is well known for using it and that's a fish so water type. Anyway great video Lockstin entertaining and funny as always
Yes, magikarp was the only pokémon who could use splash in gen I, and no other pokemon. But that's no longer the truth. The following pokémon will know splash from level 1: Gen II: hoppip, skiploom, jumpluff Gen III: azurill, wailmer, wailord, spoink, grumpig, feebas, wynaut Gen IV: buneary, lopunny Gen VI: clauncher, clawitzer Gen VII: bounsweet, steenee, tsareena, mimikyu, cosmog Gen VIII: clefairy, clefable, gyarados, cleffa, wobbuffet, milotic, -spoink, grumpig- One idea is to rename splash into jump, and create a new water move called splash, which will have a Japanese translation of that. Then remove all water-type pokémon from the current move and give them the water type move splash. Then this whole thing is solved.
A water spout is basically a tornado over a large body of water, so it causes large amounts of water to fly and spin into the air, and then fall back down with a tremendous amount of force when the storm dissipates.
Well, the Japanese name is technically something like hopping, like a fish pointlessly flopping on the ground, which is why Hoppip also learns it for being in character to pointlessly hop around, as well as Azurill, Spoink and Buneary.
Wailord is less dense than air, meaning that it would actually float like a helium balloon. This logically also means that it couldn't displace water so it would be terrible at splashing. Science!
Wailords splash is actually a water spout I guess. Also, why is water sport even a thing when rain dance is much better alternative to that move (it also powers up water)
10:19 I would’ve expected that the movements in rain dance would have made it so that the Pokémon could just form hydrogen and oxygen from the air together making it temporarily rain, or maybe just pull water from the clouds directly
Perhaps the move, Surf, is possible because the Pokémon using it is converting some of the water vapor in the air back into its liquid state via hydromancy.
7:31 they did, Diamond and Pearl Episode 50:Tag! We're It...! Ash and Paul fought against a Rhydon that could use the move in a Tag Team Tournament, i don't recall there being water pools in the stadium

I’m pretty sure splash was the signature move of magikarp in gen 1, which is why it’s known for jumping.
In pokemon go splash is a water type move
Yes, magikarp was the only pokémon who could use splash in gen I, and no other pokemon. But that's no longer the truth. The following pokémon will know splash from level 1:
Gen II: hoppip, skiploom, jumpluff
Gen III: azurill, wailmer, wailord, spoink, grumpig, feebas, wynaut
Gen IV: buneary, lopunny
Gen VI: clauncher, clawitzer
Gen VII: bounsweet, steenee, tsareena, mimikyu, cosmog
Gen VIII: clefairy, clefable, gyarados, cleffa, wobbuffet, milotic, -spoink, grumpig-
One idea is to rename splash into jump, and create a new water move called splash, which will have a Japanese translation of that.
How is it that bubbles and water guns can cause damage, but splashing is useless, even if done by a Wailord? XD
Science!
It's obvious that Pokemon are Caster.
They have Energy inside their Body.
That's also what they use to Evolver.
It's pretty obvious.
DuskyPredator you forgot bounsweet
Wailords splash is actually a water spout I guess. Also, why is water sport even a thing when rain dance is much better alternative to that move (it also powers up water)
this dude’s dedication is insane. Do you know how hard it is to get honey out of your hair.
Plotwist: He went bald after the video
3:45
6:32 what they turn into is my second favourite pokemon behind Chandelure :)
My oh my, putting honey in your hair for a practical joke is some dedication. Especially considering how it will be a pain to remove.
Could be worse. Sponsor could have been a gum company
26:44 that description was uh, pretty much perfect!
Sniper: "I told you snipin' was a good job!"
26:43 Well if you though it was so lame someone should have waited for G-Max Cannonade. That move is awesome! I kid of course.
Wait why do i remember a move called "water hose" used by a swampert..
10:19 I would’ve expected that the movements in rain dance would have made it so that the Pokémon could just form hydrogen and oxygen from the air together making it temporarily rain, or maybe just pull water from the clouds directly
I really thought that he was going to talk about how the move splash is hop in Japanese therefore not being water type
This is my favorite "not" video specifically because of the honey and bath shenanigans
He went into a bath clothed for the content
That's commitment
Perhaps the move, Surf, is possible because the Pokémon using it is converting some of the water vapor in the air back into its liquid state via hydromancy.
When bubbles get in my eyes I feel like dying
7:31 they did, Diamond and Pearl Episode 50:Tag! We're It...! Ash and Paul fought against a Rhydon that could use the move in a Tag Team Tournament, i don't recall there being water pools in the stadium
"Oh no, its a wave, Ahhh the pain"

15:31 iirfoc, a water spout is also what you call a tornado that forms on the ocean
