    Thanks for using STA-BIL Fogging Oil! We appreciate it.

      Absolutely!! It's great stuff, I use it for winterizing motors and for freeing up stuck piston rings too!

    I just replaced the plugs and oil + filter, I asked my fiancée to shut off the water and jetski after a minute. She remembered to shut of the jetski but left the water in the hose running into the jetski for like 15 minutes before I noticed. Couldnt start it. I assume she got water in motor and exhaust. Oil is now a milky color. I can now start it but only ran what what would leave the exhaust. I believe I need to follow your steps in this video, as well as, change the oil and filter again - right?

      What a bummer! Yes if the oil is still milky definitely change it, get it as clean as possible. Once as much water is out as possible and it starts up. Run it for a few minutes with no hose, it can run for 3-5 minutes with no water before there is a overheat warning. If a warning starts sounding, just shut it down and let it cool for a while. It is just a warning when the alarm sounds, not an actual overheat. May have to replace the spark plugs again, even if for piece of mind, but wait until it's all squared away.

    Hey its a great video! I have a problem with my yamaha vx deluxe 110 ( 2006 ). Last summer when I was last time driving it and bring it home, I was not able to turn it on so I didn’t rinse it with normal water. It stayed like this the whole winter, and now I called a mechanic to see why I cannot turn it on. It turned out that a starter was broken, and I bought a new one and few days ago this mechanic put it on jet but it didn’t want to turn on again so he took jet ski to his garage to check the problem and today he called me and said that the engine is blocked probably because I didn’t wash it with normal water after the last ride and that is all rusty inside, but he didnt take off motor block, just said to me that the top of the engine is rusty and that I need to buy new clips, rings etc… is it possible for the engine to get blocked because I didn’t wash it with normal water ?? Or this guy want to cheat me or something? I would be very thankful dor the answer as I dont know much about this!

      Salt water can cause some corrosion internally, but for the top end to be as bad as he says, it would have had to be filled with water. What does it do when you try to start it? Have you tried to unlock the ignition with the code? Even if you did not set the lock code, it can lock from sitting. Is there a fob with the machine? Could be possible that the fob needs a battery or to be reprogrammed. I have seen instances where the motors have locked up do to water intrusion. I have also had motors locked up where I have been very successful with putting some fogging oil in the cylinders and letting it soak and lubricate the rings and become able to turn the machine over. A few motors also that did turn over but had 0 compression and was able to gain it back to 210 psi on every cylinder. Rinsing is important, mostly in salt water, but isn't 100% crucial.

    my son went out on my 2007 rxp non turbo said it was idling fine through a no wake zone and when he was out at the end of it he went to
    rip on it he said it just started chugging, he limped it back to the dock and i pulled the plugs and found cylinder 1 and 2 had a little water in them not as much as the one in your video but some. i got the water out and noticed 2 of the 3 plugs cylinder 1 and 2 would not fire so i put 3 new plugs in it and now it is idling fine. i put it back in the water for about 2 minutes and it seems ok but i am worried it could be a bigger issue. I did a compression test and it was even across the 3 cylinders but don't know if i should check something else? also my oil looks good it was just changed before it hit the water.

      Was there any water in the hull as if the hull plugs weren't in, or in all the way it may have been taking on water? Just thinking if there was any water intrusion to the hull, it may have been sucked up from the intake into the motor.
      If it was capsized, also just be sure it didn't take on water from flipping UT upright again.
      Also, there's the possibility of a self siphon, did it get towed at all where it may have siphoned water into the exhaust.
      Besides having a hole in the hull. Those are the most common ways that water could get in.
      Of course there is if it was on the trailer and having a hose connected without the machine running. But I'm sure that's not the case as it was running fine prior to it having this issue.

    What about cracked head/block or head gasket

    • @wickedrepairs8527
      @wickedrepairs8527  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What your question exactly? What's going on? You would have to replace the head if cracked or take it all apart and have it repaired if you can find the right person to do so.

      If there is water in the engine, then definitely try this! I have fixed many motors and gotten them to run after doing this procedure. Sometimes it can take a couple hours depending how bad it is but still better than thousands of dollars and tons of time rebuilding and taken it all apart. Get a can or 2 of fogging oil and a fresh set of spark plugs for when it's all cleaned out.

    I had water in my jet ski today. I took out the plugs and ran the starter. It expelled a lot of water, but it took only about two minutes (Rotax 717 engine). I then wiped off the plugs and sprayed stater fluid into the air intake. After 5 or six tries, it took gas and completely started up. I let it run a while to burn off all the residual water. The outlet hose inside the hull disconnected and was pumping water into the hull. I and my passenger finally fell into the water when the hull was so flooded it became impossible to balance.

      I have seen that happen before, what type of hose clamp was on it? I like to use a regular worm style hose clamp when I can on the hoses that have pressure. I hope it runs well the rest of the summer for you!

    I have a 2 stroke seadoo gtx filled with water exact same thing happening but the water coming out is rusty..
    Is it possible water got in my bottom end? Will i have to flip it upside down to drain it all ?

    • @wickedrepairs8527
      @wickedrepairs8527  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely possible that it's in the bottom end. Coming out rusty could be from the steel piston rings. Spray the cylinders real good with fogging oil to help lube it while trying to crank out any water. It will definitely make a mess! Elevate the front of the machine, turning it upside down isn't necessary. Typically once there's enough out that it starts and runs, it will pump the excess out and burn off. The only other way to do it is to remove the head and cylinders to access the lower end and siphon water out.

    Maybe you can help me with a problem I am having with my jetski It sunk under water we pulled it out it did not want to start once I let it dry, I took spark plugs off there was a little bit of water took battery to get checked its good it cranks it just don't turn on

    • @wickedrepairs8527
      @wickedrepairs8527  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If it cranks over but doesn't start, I would remove the spark plugs and turn it over with them out. See if any water comes out of the cylinder head when you do that. If so, there is definitely some more water in there. If it's only slightly damp and there's not a lot of water coming out, I would definitely replace the spark plugs and try again. It could be that the spark plugs are just fouled or getting wet and not wanting to fire. If there's water in the engine, it will not combust properly in the combustion chamber and allow it to start. Also, check all/any fuses. May have gotten wet and blown a fuse.

    • @wickedrepairs8527
      @wickedrepairs8527  3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @rosendocanto9896 the 3 things you need most are spark, fuel, and compression. I would check spark first, if that's good, check to see if you can spray some carburetor cleaner (or starter fluid or fogging oil) into the intake and crank it over. If it doesn't start or try to almost start, then check your engine compression. Engine compression should be 125psi on all 3 cylinders. At least 120, 100 minimum to be able to start.
