As a Mexican watching this, I want to confess that I craved it too much. That food looks so good... I already loved the Philippines and now I can't wait to try their food.
It's not worth it. Their food is salty if not too sweet. Only great dish are adobo, crispy pata and sigsig. All others aren't really appealing to the taste buds
some of our food are mexican inspired.... it goes back to our history, trading products with Mexico some decades ago when the country was under the Spanish colony...

We all would agree blood and meat is a weird and not so appealing food when you hear of it the first time he even admitted it, but he tried Dinuguan and bec. of that mindset he got his reward, a mouthful of umami.

I'm here from watching more recent videos. I'm a Filipino who was born in PH but spend 99% of my life in the US so I'm more American than anything. I'm still proud of my Filipino heritage and it makes me happy when others enjoy the culture and food. Dinuguan and Sinigang are among my favorite dishes and I eat them with lots of rice and sabaw (broth). I'm happy that you've been enjoying the cuisine and I love your personality. I feel that you're bright and full of love.
When you cook Filipino dishes you should first ask: Is it for eating with rice or stand alone. Eating with rice should have more flavor. With more salt or ingredients. Eating it stand alone will depend on the one who will eat it. We measure and we can adjust. That is Filipino taste.

Hi big guy!... the philippines was colonized by the spanish for like 500 years, that is why our language have a lot of spanish words in it. Also the cuisine is very close or similar to mexican and other south american countries, but with different spices. Also we have chinese influence because of all the chinese traders that traded with us in the 1800's (i think) and the great migration of the chinese also, that is why we have the oldest chinatown (i think hehe)... and that is why we also have the noodles like pancit and other dishes. I really love that you appreciate our food... and i am with the others in saying that you are very welcome to come here and experience our culture... though not a perfect country... we will make it a great stay... mabuhay ka! long live big guy!!!
