This was also a selling point for my family when we bought our jeep 3 years ago.
The tv went blank not even 3 months later before our first vacation. I figured it was the ribbon cable but couldn’t find any good videos explaining how to fix it for this style tv so the ribbon cable I ordered has been sitting up for 3 years waiting to be replaced. The kids finally begged me enough that I decided to try to find a detailed video that made it simple for me to fix by myself. This video explains everything so perfectly- it was so easy to fix. I can’t wait to take the kids to town tomorrow and maybe actually have a peaceful drive.

Never forget September 11 2001 💜 I was thinking something on that ribbon to reinforce it like liquid electrical tape to keep the wires from breaking? Great job and shout out to your Dad for his 2 hands and I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks for the feedback Jay,. I really want to protect the ribbon with a layer of tape. Then I realized how easy the job was and since it lasted 10 years then I might as well leave it alone. Lol. Thanks for the view

Do you remember how many pins were in the end of the ribbons? They have different options online like 10 pin, 15 pin, 30 pin, im not sure which one i need

Hey guys I got my screen off and for some reason I can't get that medal part off for nothing. I took out all the screws and it seems like something still holding it down. Funny part about it I have a injured left hand atm lol.

Thanks Ricky! If it's a stock lift Id go with any 16 inch factory jeep wheel. My favorites are any type of 5 star. See if you can grab a set of the gunmetal 5 stars from a 2000 to 2001 classic. They have the 3 ribs at the end of each spoke and I think they're amazing. They go great with any black silver or white xj even some greens and blues!
Was this an aftermarket radio or the factory?
Hey man. I have a 2007 commander and the ves is completely dead. It worked for about 2 months when I bought it a year ago. No tab on the radio to select with the "mode" button. The dvd drive won't power on and obviously the screen is dead. Tried a new ribbon but no dice. Checked all fuses and the ground wire to the dvd driver is grounded correctly. Do you have any ideas? Thanks.

hello! My commander came with factory roof rails and I found two more at the junkyard. I currently have a Thule pod on my commander that my dad bought back in 1997 for our family expedition.. I'm not sure they make that anymore but there are some similar looking ones out there
Will it fit for my jeep is 2007? Because I'm getting upgrade my jeep
