A man can never have too many angle grinders! 😁 My preference is a 5" grinder with speed control. That way you can keep the guard on most of the time even with slightly larger discs and slow it down a bit for wire wheeling. As for battery powered, they can be useful but eat batteries so you need at least 4Ah and have a spare battery. Avoid models where the guard requires a tool to loosen it before moving.
i brought 2 cheap (used) makita grinders as i got fed up changing the discs every 5 mins :) you can never have enough angle grinders (i also have a big 9 inch scary one)
@Good-Enuff-Garage the chorded one are silly cheap (even cheaper used) at least this side of the pond so haven't bothered with cordless ones and just spent the saved money on more tools :)
No safety guard on the death wheel?! That's because the Greg laughs in the face of danger, but don't make him work in the rain! Oh No!! (same here, only had one explode once and you won't find me outside when it's raining either!)
From Fred Flintstone floors to ballroom dance floors, go bunny go.. Looks so much better.
ha ha, thanks I think with sum tractor paint and shag carpet and tinted windows they will look even better

so I just graduated from a 4" to a 4.5" and you hit me with a 5" 😡
4:00 You need a CSD disc in your list of indispensable angle grinder discs. They are expensive but genuinely amazing for stripping paint and rust.
had one, it did not blow my skirt up, I think I wire wheeled an entire 68 Mustang to bare metal with a wire wheel or 200 of them
@@Good-Enuff-Garage That's odd. Since I got the CSD discs, I haven't really touched a wire wheel since.
Restoration is like the most boring topic I can think of. With our host The Greg I tend to watch it all the way through though 😆
don't encourage him !

Smart, have you tried a cordless one yet? I'm thinking of getting one

Exactly, safety guards are for demo videos, all they do is get in the way when you try to cut something in tight spaces
14:30 "I don't wanna do rust repair, I wanna do an electric conversion."
That's why you got one of these pristine California cars, right? RIGHT? 🤪🤪
Right ?! A grandma just drove it to the beach to go surfing and back while eating avocado toast and sippin' on a soy latte on Sundays.
