Really enjoy winding down at the end of the day with these vlogs. Such beautiful scenery, occasional silliness and beer...what more can you ask for. Except more vlogs 👌🏻😆😆
It's your openness, integrity and (apparent) ease with which you talk about your feelings that makes these videos work. The rest, is the icing on the cake, like a conduit that you communicate through. Wonderful stuff. Great to see our local canal and river which lurks just 50 yards from our home.
Totally agree. Robbie comes across as a genuine chap, really enjoy his vlogs. Dawn and I have a share in a narrow boat, been down the Anderton lift a couple of times and even moored in Northwich for a day (popped home with a bag of dirty washing!). Through your comment here I have now found you on facebook - looking forward to listening to some slide guitar!
@@carlhowe5470 thanks Carl. By fluke, I met Robbie last week in Barnton, there's a path from the canal/river past our house. Thanks for your kind words. My music is available everywhere. Good place to start is my main site. www.tomdoughty.com
How nice to be able to meet up with Fran and Rich and have a pint. It seems the River Weaver is very popular right now as the Foxes have just gone down the boat lift.
... sometimes when you visit ... you become a friend and thusly missed ... when you have to leave ...lovely picture too ...memory years these are for you ...
I appreciate and enjoy your no nonsense approach to your vlogs, Robbie. You don't sugar coat anything and your honesty is refreshing and balanced. Thank you.
Loved the shout out to the kings lock in Middlewich... brought back some grt stomping ground memories from the late 70's. Had a good crowd of regulars and darts team, great ale and super friendly bar staff. Just further down on the way out (towards Sandbach) was the Kinderton (my former pub of the week n where I met my now wife of now 38yrs) Sadly the Kindo is now a dishevelled looking shell awaiting restoration (i hope) - I know how it feels :)
Your canal videos are full of inspiration and vibe, watched about half of them since canal diaries on the bbc , we have found a red wine of the week! Called lock keeper, happy Cranking.
The Naughty Lass is beautiful!!! Congrats Robbie!!! 😊❤That arche reflection was awesome!!! Very happy to see you back on the cut..nice work Robbie very nice!!!😊❤
I LOVED WATCHING THAT VIDEO, AND WAS CAPTIVATED BY THE AMAZING STONEWORK, THAT FORM THE LOCK WALLS AND THE PEDESTRIAN FOOTBRIDGE..HUGE CASTELLATED SKILLFULLY ENGINEERED PIECES OF MASONARY..SO,PLEASING TO THE EYE..AND THEN A DAY LATER, I SAW IT ALL AGAIN, AS THE 'FOXES ',WENT THE OTHER WAY 😆..LOVELY VIDEO 👍
We did that trip in 2018 and found the architecture of all the by washes fascinating, looking like mini castles with extensive stonework around, the good old boys working the locks were there then as well.👍
Thanks Robbie. It's so nice to sit inside a pub again! Sitting outside and cursing a cloud that covers the weak but warming sun. Trying to escape the constant cold wind we have been having. That was no fun.
I saw Floating Our Boat mention they were going for a beer with you and was so please for you all. I did point out you are but a day or so behind the Foxes and wondered if all three of you were going to meet for a beer somewhere. That would be awesome. Good vlog Robbie, good to see everyone beginning to 'open up' again.
I have been following Fran and Rich's channel as well, nice that you can meet up with them for a pint. Seeing the pint of Guinness reminds me of having lunch in Breckenridge, CO. Delicious beef stew, with a slab of Indian corn bread and a pint, all the while a light snow coming down on top of our heads.
Good to see ya Robie. You know your having a great day when you've got fellowship, a cold one, & some good olè dogs hanging around ya. Be safe & crank on, Chris from Missouri
Robbie, haven't forgotten you, had some boring technical crap to endure. Anyway, you will be cranking in the warm this winter. Cracking drone shots btw.
Good to hear from you again. Couldn't watch until Friday evening as Internet from Crick to Foxton is almost non existent on three but now moored outside Foxton village it's great. Now to watch all the other vlogs.
Hi Robbie, Lovely Vlog again this week. I like the way you keep Cranking along, so relaxing as you do your own thing. Great to see Pub of the week, but no Jingle this week. I love your "Pub of the Week Jingle". Take care, and looking forward to your next Vlog.
Can't wait for some more epic drone shots! Not sure if I've had a shout out in the CIC but proud supporter of the vlogs............one day our paths will cross, I'll be in my lorry on the road, and probably a flyover somewhere 😉
@@RobbieCumming hey Robbie! Thank you for your reply, don't worry about it too much...........we're all hoping you're enjoying some awesome Crank It time!!!
Great video. Love the Weaver. My moorings are at Preston Brook so I'll be popping down at some stage. I'm not sure it's courteous to mention other Vloggers but Foxes Afloat are on the Weaver. You could do a joint episode!
Robbie this boy from Todmorden, again thanks you, as we are still on lockdown in Canada. You warm my heart. Cheers from Fredericton New Brunswick Canada.
How good does it feel to have a proper pint of draught beer? My girlfriend and I had a pint or two or three or four in Liverpool yesterday and it was great to be back inside a pub. 😉 Good to see another one of your videos and to see you’re keeping well and meeting up with old friends. Safe boating Robbie.
Great to see the Guinness! I did suggest to Fran & Rich that might be having a Guinness or two at the Pub Of Week! Cheers from Christchurch New Zealand!
Your vlogs Robbie are pure escapism. Love all the regular items like adding of the Crank it Crew. Although I don't drink alcohol I think Pub of the Week is great. So hope you get a third series with the BBC👍💪
Nice to see you Robbie you do keep bumping in Fran and Rich beginning to wonder about you lot lol great video most enjoyable, take care keep safe,John 🍺🍺🍺🍺
Me hat’s off to you Girls n Boys in the UK 🍺🎩 After the Flood the Naughty Lass and LauraMaisie, scouting a local, pulled into the Ark Inn for a celebration drink. Happy Days! 🎉🍺🍺🍺🎉 Haha, you’re a good story-teller Robbie; I enjoyed this immensely. Cheers from “Hobbit (Hobart) Town”🍺🐨
Did you know, towns with 'wich' at the ends of their names e.g. Nantwich, Middlewich etc, were always synonymous with salt production. Not sure which (see what I did there ?) came first, the chicken or the egg but I learned this from the commentary on the trip boat at the Anderton Boat Lift. So there you go ...
Rather than waiting for rain, which I’ll only confirm that you have a leak “somewhere”; have you considered doing a more controlled test by using a hose pipe on specific areas of the outside in order to identify exactly where the leak is?
@@RobbieCumming OMG, thanks for replying, but your first instinct (probably - what is this crazy person asking me this for) would be correct. I somehow asked this question on completely the wrong video. I think Autoplay must have opened your video just as I was about to write this question to another leaky boater. Thanks all the same, and hopefully you don’t have a bilge full of water 😀
Nice to see the Naughty Lass and you out, about in the sunshine and able to get to the pub. She’s looking good. Guinness is ok. Maybe something a tad lighter but still dark. Maybe a Beamish stout? If that is legal to order in the UK?
After chugging along and country house gentleman (whom I watch avidly) you're an absolute joy!!!!
Jolly good show mate!
Ah thanks so much!!
Just noticed you moored up behind our house in Worsley enjoying your morning cuppa
Great to see you happy cruising

I really love the way you give other boaters who vlog a shout-out. XXX
Lovely to see Fran and Rich too! You're all such a lovely lot 😊
At 1:43 I can see our old flat we lived in the 90s.
How nice to be able to meet up with Fran and Rich and have a pint. It seems the River Weaver is very popular right now as the Foxes have just gone down the boat lift.
Caught up with the Fox boys in Northwich. Great guys! I kept them chatting for over an hour and they even offered me a cuppa!
It is always good to see some railway structures.

Fell in love with the TV show Robbie and today discovered your TH-cam channel.
Good to see places that I’ve cycled regularly for years from the waters perspective! Great vid.👍
Great video. Love your channel. So nice to see you meet up with my favorite canal boaters Fran and Rich!
Robbie !
Love the drone , and the ride .

Thanks great to hear 👍
Just catching up on your vids, very excited with this one as I live just near the blue bridge. Lovely.
Great video thank you. The footage was awesome.

Cheers.

I don’t know them though and seemed to moor when they were going so sadly not something we could sort out!

Nice one Robbie absolutely love watching your vblogs and the TV programs but when are you going to pen a book 👍
One day I’m sure!
Sean and Collin (Foxes Afloat ) are at Northwich for a couple of days on Silver Fox , say hello if you see them.
I did try but they were too busy
That little trawler at 5:35 is so cute! Half expected to see Popey peeking thru the porthole
4:06 - a practical demonstration of "knowing the ropes".
