I have had this pistol in 10mm for nearly ten years! Never a problem. Comes with twelve round mags, and will shoot any high caliber bullet on the market. The bbl is ramped. This means that I can shoot hot loads from any manufacturer. The EAA Witness is truly the best kept secret on the market. You know you can get a 10mm barrel for your pistol, right? You'd have the best of both worlds. Good choice in firearms!
Just picked one of these up yesterday from CDNN sports for right around $280. I've only sent one 16 rd. magazine through it but was impressed with it's accuracy at 15 yds., the briars behind me held me to that distance. The sights are very visible even for an old geezer like me. For the money, it seems to be a very adequate carry weapon which I intend to retire my old Taurus & use this as. You'll love the ergonomics, the sights, the weight & the spot on accuracy of this full sized handgun & the fact it's made in "the old country", Italy, was a + for me as well.
i never saw one of these before , untill today when i was browsing at my local rural king. great lookin weapon right off the bat. but when i saw the pricetag , on sale, it was only $250 and came with one 17 round mag. i asked the clerk if that was a missprint, but no, sale price of $250. even a reg price of $275 for such a good quality weapon i almost couldnt believe it. extra mags about $25, just cant beat it, i just gotta get one of these lol
Checked one out in a local shop just yesterday.these have the best ergonomics of a pistol this size I've ever held. But the price was $399.Looks like I'm going to have to do some shopping around
I bought mine for 350ish. Were is the normal wear on her at? I also put a 22 lbs spring on the 9mm. I had to leave the slide back for 3 days to wear it in enough. But after that there was little to none recoil, it shoots more stable and hits the target at 50 yards with 2 in group. Best hand gun ever. Could you let me know how it wears on the slide? Thanks
I have the Rock Island Armory version of this gun called the MAPP1. RIA (Armscor) replaced the slide with their own version. The slide design is quite different, leading to what I'd call a bull slide - thicker and heavier. This makes recoil quite soft, and easy to shoot accurately. They added an ambi safety lever that I find useful with both thumb and trigger fingers. Someone should make a video on it...
Jon williams Rural King has them on sale for $259 again. I bought one tonight. The price was just too good to pass up. Ammo is also on sale this week (Blazer Brass 115 gr. FMJ @ $9.99 after rebate). I guess I'm heading to the range again soon! Will have a new toy to shoot along with my Walther & other assorted handguns.
Dan Oh our Rural King had them on sale too, picking mine up tomorrow. looking for extra mags, and it's not exactly easy. Apparently the PS, which these are, are Polymer Frame, Small Frame, but full sized gun. Can't wait to check it out.
The Armscor Mapp (polimer frame) and Map (steel frame) are Tanfoglio parts assembled in the Philippines. The Jericho 941 are Tanfoglio parts (bar the barrel, locally made) assembled in Israel. The Sarsilmaz CM9 is a former collaboration between Sarsilmaz and Tanfoglio. Then the Turks started doing all the parts of the gun by themself.
+EpicWin2005 Yes they are. It's a similar design to the CZ 75.and I think it is better than a lot of the other cheap 9mm guns. Only comes with 1 10 rnd clip but CDNN has some for sale. Go for it.
Nice video...like I say, Italians know 3 things for sure....how to make a sexy woman....how to make a sexy sports car....and how to make as fine a firearm as anyone. Fact is this is NO clone of CZ, it stands all on it's own and even the Turkish SAR models are excellent weapons. After over 5000 rounds in last several years mine only shoots better and more accurate than even my Beretta Elite II target 9mm. I have NEVER had a single failure of any kind with my Witness. People look down their noses at me with their Glocks, H&K's and FN's at the range....until I outshoot them into the dirt.....heh heh heh.
When My new mags come in we'll see how it functions before I say great gun. It's a great shooting gun. But I'm having feed issues with it. my new mags should be here today
No, the Pavona is a different model made by Tanfoglio. The P does stand for polymer. The Pavona is marked for ladies or men with small or understrength hands. It has a sparkly frame, which some of the ladies like. I've shot one, it is a great shooter. Feels better in my hand that my full size Witness P, but I have medium-small sized hands for a guy.

How do you like this gun? I was thinking about getting one
I saw an ad for this gun in a shooting magazine and thought about gettiing one. How much do they cost if you don't mind? Just subbed
Question did you use 115graing ammo for this video?
IIRC it's pronounced Tan-Folio
May be wrong, but that's the way I remember it.
hulk hogan The "g" is silent is many Italian names. Tan-FOE-lee-O.
It has a 18 mag on it?
witness p has a 17 mag, 18 with one in chamber
Yes. If I remember correctly.
Those ricochets though!
That is a great deal!
Does it hold 12rds or 16rds? Nice pistol
mine has 17 and 1 in the pipe for total of 18.
I noticed some trigger slap on my Witness 9mm PS. Anyone esle experienced it?
Really? That's a deal breaker for me. I have a SarB6P that has trigger slap too, annoying!
DAIadvisor
The ammo is named Tula.
looks just like the map 1 by armscor
both are CZ clones, but Tanfoglio has made them for a few decades now, whereas Armscor just started a few years ago

Around $350.
$249 at CDNN now. Weighs about the same as a Beretta.
I saw that deal. Are they any good? I'm tempted to buy it without trying it

Thank you.
CDNN has them today for $269.00 till they are gone.

Hardly any recoil.
The P stands for Pavnona not Polymer.
