When my wife and I first heard this song it became our favorite. The line about eating pop corn and watching TV pictured us perfectly. We were married July 5, 1969. On Aug 15, 2019, she went to heaven. Prior to the funeral the Priest called me and asked if I wanted a song played at the services. I said yes but that it wasn't a religious song. He said, "It's OK. I'll play any thing you want." Well then, play You and Me by Alice Cooper. He said "you got It". At the funeral he played our song. There was silence as we listened. I cried every time I heard the words "I want to take you to heaven" . When the song finished the Priest said "I didn't know what I was getting into, especially when I saw that the album was titled "Lace and Whisky", the song is a beautiful song."
I'm sorry for your lost. I love my husband so much and I thank God he is here with me and my family. I hope we live together the rest of our lifes, just you Hernan and your wife
About 17 years ago, ol' Alice walked into my store. I instantly recognized him. I even made him laugh by saying "You have got to be Alice Cooper because no one in the world looks like Alice Cooper but Alice Cooper!" A real nice guy. He even signed a poster of himself that I had. But what I would have really preferred is if I'd had the 45 picture sleeve to this song with me then for him to sign because it is just one of my all-time favorite love songs! Still, it was nice to meet him! Thanks Alice!
So sad, so sincere but hopeful and modest song, unpretentious, simple and yet so giant, deserves a lot more views on TH-cam because its a hymn of 70’s.
Alice is far from ordinary. I get what you’re saying but he’s extraordinary! He’s been through a lot in his life as we all have. He’s was smart enough to use his pain and fears in a productive way. I love Alice Cooper
Oh God. That's something. U know I've known this song since it came out but, it didnt mean any to me till I reheard it today. I'm so in love with my husband that I understand it now.
I never thought I'd ever hear Alice Cooper playing in a McDonald's, but this morning, I heard this song in their lobby. I know it's one of his tamer songs, but it still surprised me.
I just love his sense of humour. This is one of his most beautiful ballads, with such an honest and simple feeling of love, if you take the lyrics by themselves. Then within the whole Lace and Whiskey concept, and with this video, it becomes part of Alice's special brand of humour and it just works oh so well.
My husband and I have been together 34 years. He's my best friend, and our journey together has had many ups and downs. This song describes our life together perfectly...The last few years he has become very physically disabled. I am his caregiver. I've never loved him more than I do this very moment. Just the other morning he said he was watching me sleep and thinking about how much he loved me. How lucky and blessed I am...
@@nwauntie64 Thanks so much - I am having a hard time right now, but need to get back to taking care of myself. He definitely wants that and I do also, although you sort of lose yourself in the process. I have been a caregiver for three family members and I am burned out. Thanks for caring and I hope you are well :)
Alice Cooper has fantastic voice for ballads! Only Woman Bleed, I Never Cry, You and Me, How You Gonna See Me Now, The Quiet Room the list goes on and on! Alice is the GREATEST!
Been an Alice fan for almost 50 years….always liked his voice and delivery. One thing he did was surround himself with tremendous musicians and writers and Bob Ezrin.
Keith Taylor Only women bleed was a wonderful ballad and it is from 1975... Lace and Whisky and From the Inside are extremely underrated albums in my opinion.
The thing about this song that keeps me coming back over and over, is the instrumental section at around 2.30. Sends tingles up my spine every time I hear it. Sometimes I just go back to 2.30 and play it over and over. Love it. Whole song is great, but that part is my favorite in all of music. Never gets old!
Summer of 2019 took my 10 year old son to his first rock concert. Alice Cooper with Halestorm. It was great to share some of the music I grew up on along with some new favorites with Halestorm.
In all these years that have passed since this album came out, why is this the first time I’m seeing this? Big AC fan all my life, lived through MTV years, and never saw this. Great old vintage.
Alice is Rock"n"roll at its best. Saw him live at the (Majestic) Ventura Theater in downtown Ventura Cal. about 15 years ago, he and his band kicked ass! If you get a chance to see him live "Do it"
I just heard this on a decades old replay of Kasey Kasem American Top 40. I told my wife that i liked his songs but one in particular that i couldn't remember and then "that's it!." It was #10 that week. It is my favorite of his songs.
Saudades do Alice Cooper e dessas músicas fantásticas dos anos setenta que ele e os outros grandes artistas da época sempre compunham e interpretavam naquele período.❤
It's great to find this video available! I loved this song back when it first came out. I just couldn't believe it was by Alice! It's a shame it seems to never get any airplay.
For years I've looked for this video but I could never find it. I started to believe that maybe as a kid I just imagined I saw one. Going to download this video before it disappears for another 40 years
I saw Alice Cooper in the late 80s and I had a real crappy seats then I saw two empty seats right in the front row Center so being a little drunk me and my buddy were always kind of rowdies we went down and sat in the front for the whole show nobody ever bothered us we had a blast!!!!!!
Fucking A. Great video. Great talent. So underappreciated. EVERYBODY HAS COPPED SOMETHING FROM HIM. HE'S THE SCHOOLMASTER. Most people can't handle how great he is. They don't have the discernment, patience, and discrimination to let him take you somewhere. The influences he draws on is diverse and amazing, but that's what is so cool about rock, hard rock, metal, progressive and any genre of rock, one can take something from any era and genre and make it relevant, new, and fresh. Alice is the man!.

Great song from 1977. Memories of finishing my final year in the United States Marine Corps at Camp LeJeune,North Carolina; saying goodbye to an old girlfriend down there in Jacksonville, North Carolina
I remember this beautiful song of his on the radio in the summer of 1977, contrasting from some years earlier by Cooper's rock and roll sounding "School's Out".
I’ve known this song since I was a kid but never realized it was Alice Cooper until just recently. Because it’s such a sweet ballad I never made the connection to him.
Me and my husband wanted this for our wedding song! DJ didn't have it! My husband passed away in 2000! I miss him so very much! 21 years later it still hurts!
If the sound level wasn't so low this would be an awesome awesome video. I know they could do better because the promo portion of the video had way louder sound. Chris Baker Because radio has killed great music. They’d rather play the same old crap in rotation rather than dig deep and find great music like this and keep it alive.

This song just hits home on so many levels. Thanks, Alice.
One of the most talented musicians in the classics rock industry for so many years .. yes a musical genius in my opinion
He's got me beat
Not a musician, vocalist
I love Alice Cooper. I really do. He’s just an ordinary man full of talent and genius ... that’s all.
Check out his newest effort "Detroit Stories"!
Pretty cool performer
