    @brownieeman The Pilot is now only available as a rental, this video is available to the general public.

    @grinnereid they both mimic manual transmissions, use paddles and shift faster than you can shift a stick. in that sense they are "similar to" though not, "same as."

    @Dimsca17 We found that out after doing our test. (and the nearest store was an hour away!)

    @darkdestroyer32 This car is completely stock and was provided by Mitsubishi for evaluation. As equipped this loaded model is just under $45,000

    @jeep6242 It's officially "green" - with 50% recycled material (and 50% never-before-seen material)

    No the GSR is the race-track car, the MR is mostly supposed to be a slightly more refined one if that makes sense.

    Fair enough,,, but I was unsure if you're fully aware of the difference between the two designs in absolute terms, after witnessing the full length version of this video where you "cooked" the Evo X MR Touring's TC- SST in an incorrect attempt at using the in-built launch control function?
    Still, I always enjoy your videos!

    @drivingsports That's a pretty fair price. The Evo in general is also known to be a great all around car. I would not mind owning a car like this. Wonder when these will be available... Better start saving up now. I've been looking around for a great quality car that gets it done and then some...

    @MrAznPride501 I approve of this comment.

    I don't believe you mentioned the price range for this car. It has class and speed at a reasonable price for it's performance, I would imagine but how much would you have to put out and is it worth the money? Yes, I could do a Google search but it would have been nice to mention. I am going to go out on a limb and say, this car has been modified as well. I say this because of the Recaro seats (sexy BTW)... Also, fun fact: putting Mentos and closing bottle creates an awesome explosion, unsafe tho

    @bhegg 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @MrAznPride501 Wondering out loud...Why would you own two of, what are basically the same, cars? FWD, sporty hatchback 4-banger? I owned the RSX-S and liked it a lot, btw.

  • @drivingsports
    @drivingsports  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @ergometrics Different reviewers, different cars. Both reviews are accurate from our perspective. The ralliart is a "racy street car" and the Evo is a "streetable race car." Fwiw, the SST is tuned differently and has more settings in the Evo than in the Ralliart.

    A bit (or a giant) fail.
    Audi R8 has a single clutch sequential manual gearbox.
    BMW M3 and Audi S4 have double clutch gearbox.

    @grinnereid 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @drivingsports Come on Guys? Get your facts sorted!
    The Getrag 6DCT470 Twin Clutch SST in the Evo X MR is nothing like the robotized Single Clutch unit in the Lamborghini or the Audi R8 at this point in time!
    About the only thing they have in common is that they are both actuated by a TCU (Transmission Control Unit).

    It makes no sense that you praise The Evo MR, SST and paddle shifters in this video and totally rag on them in the Ralliart video. Or that you praise the turbo in the MR but rag on it's smaller, less laggy single scroll unit in the Ralliart.

    They are way over priced in Canada. If only Canada was given 8 and 9 evos, even importing is pricey!

  • @Mrscooby242
    @Mrscooby242 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    the newer evo is a lancer with a transfer case and a supped up computer. while yes it can be driven fast and handles well, it does nothing for the driver by way of improving skill. the electronic nannies kick in and save the day most of the time anyone reaches the limit. thus holding the driver back. older evo's were great. i can see why they are going to kill the evo off. all in all i would rather have a Wrx or Sti or, hell a Mazda speed 3. than this nanny on wheels.

    Here's the best way. First... diet coke. Empty out about 8 ounces. Needle and thread the entire pack together. Hang em inside the bottle and close the cap tight. Give it a toss and watch out. :) by the way, I like the brutish-ness of the last gen evo. This ones a tad softer looking. But I like it. And like the no-spoiler. Maybe that's the 36 in me talking. Haha
