Wow I've never seen construction framing work that fasr and precise, done by one man, he has already earned a month off!!, 💵with full pay💵💵 Amazing videos, Amazing carpenter.
Four decades ago I use to brag on how three of us would frame a 2500 sq. ft raised ranch in one week then hand it over to the roofers, HVAC, plumbers, electricians, concrete finishers and landscapers. Albeit, we did not have pneumatic nailers, and had to cut our own stair stringers using a framers square, I thought we were exceptional because we could sink a 16D with two hits of an Estwing framing hammer. But you work alone faster than the three of us ever could together. Nice work!
5 years off will be a robotic framer helper that will have all measurements of blueprints programmed in with push button access to each framing process by framer on demand. The heavy lifting feature alone should double production time with minimal fatigue on crew.
supercalifragilisticexpialidocious !!!! More, more, more. I do not know why I like so much to watch these videos but I am totally concentrated on how you are doing stuff. Someday I will frame a house myself and put to practice the things I learn here. Thank you very much!
My Favorite man to watch ! I really like those videos ! It just make me want to do the same job as you ! It's so damn satisfying to see all those stuff complete by your own Hands ! You're awesome man !
Just found this channel and of course I subscribed. Fantastic show of skill especially working by yourself. I learned the carpentry trade 45 years ago or so and learned by two master carpenters. You my friend have skills. I can't imagine how fast you could go with a real good helper. All the best!!!!. Al from Maryland
Very quick! Here in the uk we have to put noggins in at 1200 centres to catch the edge of every plasterboard. That’d slow u down! Love the videos, I reckon you’d put most British chippys to shame
Dude could thread the needle on a sewing machine with it running. A little turbo charged? Layout, planning and reading plans makes the job but being in shape and knowing what you're doing are just as important. Nice work.
12:29 I thought that roll was going down the stairs! But Crazy Framer came through with the clutch accuracy and didn't need to go chasing down the stairs haha
well you assemble the frame, and then you cut a heap of brace sticks and with another person you walk around and plumb the walls, starting with longest exterior walls then moving on to interior walls. This is done with a straight edge and level. Then you also straighten any long walls without any intersecting interior walls. This is done by either sighting them or using a string line nailed along the top plates. Once temporary braced with timber, then you can nail off any OSB sheeting, or any metal bracing, to hold the walls plumb once the temporary bracing is removed. Once this is done then the structure is ready to receive any steel columns if they havent already been added(They should have already been added, otherwise you will have to leave temp bracing on until frame can be fixed off to the colum once that is installed plumb), and then the subfloor or roof system can be constructed/installed. edit: forgot to add, that if you have cut all the studs and wall plates to the correct measurements, then plumbing should be fairly simple and easy. If you have used relatively straight, non-bowed timber then you should also be able to straighten them easily.
Its a vapor barrier. You put it over the insulation to prevent moisture from traveling into the house. It needs to be continuous, that's the reason it is put between the framing, so that later the remaining vapor barrier plastic can be tapped to it. And no TexasGTO , it is not just Canadian building code. It is becoming standard building code worldwide. Certain areas of the US haven't caught on yet or just don't care. I have been using this method for many years and it only just because "building code" in my area in 2016.
arosenberger87 Folks were doing the poly on the inside of the insulation way back in the 80's when I was plumbing houses. They didn't have computers controlling the air and had huge lawsuits. Now I live in the south and they had condensation problems with that method here. They seal it on the outside of the insulation here.
Dude... you are an animal ! Start a "school"... I'll bet one of the big boy developers would pay you handsomely to spearhead a "skills" program. If you need contact with any such, I'm sure I could help. Wow... I used to frame (back in the day). I get every move you make. Kudos!!!!
Harley archer how crooked of studs are You getting that you have to crown every stud. I never understood these comments if your lumber is coming out so bad that it is causing waves in your wall.. you either aren’t paying attention at all to your lumber.. or your rep is selling you the returns.
You do it so fast and you do need up n it's so accurate.. HAHA all speed up jokes aside you create some sweet and efficient work my friend.. keep up good work brother we all ejnoy

Elementary question: What’s the plastic for?
Ryan Brown I explain that at the beginning of part 1
its called poly> and its to prevent wicking. water moisure travel :)
Canadian building code. It's for moisture.

Why the plastic between the top plates?
Ram-n_dodge moisture barrier
What's the purpose of the plastic between the plates at the top of the wall?
