    The crazy framer, not the stupid framer. So relieved to see the tie off. When I was an ironworker I would sometimes have to go without, but it was much safer than framing plus I used to keep refrigerator magnets under the soles in my boots that helped me stick to the beams better. Be safe men!

    I was just as amazed by the guy cutting the pieces.. he has multiple cuts going on at once and was only told the measurements once..pieces came up perfect every time. Quality work.

    Architects sure like making houses a pain in the ass...
    Also, you made quick work of that section of the roof. I can only imagine how fast and well you could do things if you had a person doing the cuts for you and handing you stuff.

    i normally measure down from the top when snapping lines for plywood in the valley, little quicker usually . just throwing it out there.

    Damn!!!.....you couldn't pay me enough to go on that roof! House might look big on the outside, but all those rooms are tiny as hell!!!....all those stairs take up too much real estate! .... Looks like my aunts home....all tiny rooms and all stairs!

      They are model homes. Built just to show perspective buyers what they might want on their lot. If you look closely there is a walkway from one house to the next.

    Idk if those staplers have rafter hooks but I feel like it would make you even MORE productive by keeping the gun on your bags so you don’t have to hand drive a couple tacker nails instead you could just replace those nails with an immediate and quick staple right on your line, then make sure your sheathing is on the line for the next truss and boom time saved but I mean... Ti bone 3 is a good way to flex

    I would never buy a home so close to another. With those roof pitches, rain will pour down between each house. I hope at least they put on 6" gutters and manage to divert the water on the ground. A sealed foundation would have been nice.

      The 3 of them are model homes. If you watch closely they are connected. They could be lived in but were build to display the layouts available and will most likely be used as that and an office

    Like seeing you working with others. I feel like a 2 man crew can easily do the work of 3 people working alone. You're communication is great and to the point. I bet you'll run crews and young bucks will be honored to work for you. Seems like I run around a bit faster and try harder when alone but I can't deny the amount of stuff you can get done with a little help from the right people!

      You can do that initial walk once, twice, maybe even a few hundred times. But it'll get you eventually. Roofers are people who don't care about living very long. I was relieved when he tied off.

    What staple type & length do you use for fixing the roofing sheathing down?
    We don't sheath our entire roofs here in the UK as we do tiled roofs & almost never use shingles, we only tend to sheath exterior of Dormers.

    Gawd I hate that. When measuring a sheet but your tape to the sheet not throw it somewhere to the valley you can’t see very well. It’s so much easier to line up straight and accurate
