I mean, Miami didn't get Butler help. But were they really going to throw it all in on a narrow-timeline star? Butler is old by NBA standards and history tells us that going all-in on an aging star is not good for a franchise. The problem for Miami is that a major trade would likely involve selling the future away (trading Herro or Bam) and in return they get a second star that will put them on a very narrow timeline when there's a super team in Boston. Pat Riley is smart enough to see that this isn't the same Celtics team that Butler beat on the way to the Finals before and that even with a big trade, Miami will be significant underdogs to beat the Celtics. So why make that investment and sell your future when instead you can build around the future for when Boston inevitably disbands? The baseline issue is that Butler is looking a year or two down the road and Pat Riley is look five to ten down the road. Both are correct to do this, but it makes an untenable situation.

I'm not the biggest Jimmy Butler fan, but it feels like you are intentionally attempting to assassinate his character with the video. Where is the video? You mentioned that he was treated poorly by the Timberwolves because he wanted a new contract. In his first year there, he worked hard to get the Wolves to the playoffs after they had missed the playoffs for several years. In his second year, he was still active for the contract, believing it would be finalized in the summer. However, the Wolves wanted him to play out his whole second year. When he was traded to Philadelphia, he worked incredibly hard, leading the team to the Eastern Conference Finals and coming close to winning the NBA Championship in a game seven. Then, they decided they didn't want to pay him and opted to pay Tobias Harris instead. So yes, I agree with your assessment of his antics, but you are intentionally overlooking a lot of important details.
Yeah besides the obvious heat ones, it’s pretty interesting how many of these points were overlooked in this video. I’m not a fan of his antics either but results are results and he’s shown and proven he’s capable of improving/overachieving on the teams he’s been on so far.
I understand him wanting to be on a better team now that he only has a couple of years left of good production left in him.but also he has a history of doing this, but it only makes sense for him todo this in his last couple years left in the nba
Look, he is indubitably a very good player, and had some great playoffs moments. Also, his peak is nowhere near the peak of the best players in the league, and he has to been coasting/injured a lot during the regular season. If he accepted a team friendly contract in Miami, enabling Miami to get some good players, he could win in Miami with a reduced role. But clearly, ego + money are the priority here.

The Nuggets have the same issue with paying Murray so much and him not doing anything worth it and it keeping them from adding needed role players/talent. The Heat can't build around Jimmy when he sucks up so much of the cap space, and they have to pay both Bam and Herro.. Bam and Herro aren't causing drama and respectively are playing better than him. @jdizzy5044 bro, Bam and Herro are great players putting up better numbers than him this year. He isn't carrying no one. He did carry them in the playoffs "then", but this is now. How do you expect the Heat to acquire more talent when they pay Jimmy so much money and him wanting more? He isn't going to get any better as a player, he is past his prime. He is lucky to be getting that money in the first place, because he isn't a Giannis, a Luka, or SGA and never has been.. but makes more than all of them. He is also a drama queen who has burned bridges with every team he has played with.. He ain't even scoring 18 pts a game and is making more than Giannis lmao
@ they are not putting nobody over the hump as seen in past playoff where one finals herro wasn’t apart of fuck the numbers and yes they wasn’t getting past Milwaukee or taking the lakers to 6 or beating or coming close to Boston in a game 7 if ur really think that bam and tyler are better than jimmy or could elevate that team to the same place be my guest idk what to tell u🤷🏾♂️ he’s also had a good reason to burn those bridges in Philly they paid Tobias Harris over him which became THE premier worst contract in the league for several years before that it was a shit franchise in the twolves with players who didn’t wanna step up he carried them to the first round he then left which dropped them back into mediocrity until ant in which that place is still shit jimmy may have his flaws but it always takes two to tango and in many situations nobody’s hands are clean
What will give his joy back? He’s the number 1 option, and Jimmy should have known seeding means nothing. If it’s just a contract then that’s not “on the court” and I doubt a big contract is gonna magically change his demeanor.
Jimmy just be trying to get paid and I give it to him he deserves it every time he be the best player on the team at the time!! If the team not trying to pay him that means they don’t think he a star so trade me then
It’s funny the way the 76rs situation was breezed over like it was his fault for exposing what that team was. Outside the TWolves (Who to be fair ended up rebuilding the roster after he left trading a majority of that team.) Jimmy hasn’t really been the issue for said teams and has done his part elevating them when he was there. As bad as him leaving usually looks it’s not as bad as Harden for example who time and time again disappoints before leaving. The man does nothing but improve upon a roster and make them overachievers. Those two finals runs would never happen without him, and it’s so funny seeing ppl hate on it just because he didn’t win against obviously better constructed western conference teams. In the end I personally don’t like how he leaves these situations but he’s never the main issue towards the teams downfall. It’s usually the GMs who fail to capitalize or even try to improving their rosters until after he leaves. 😅
I wonder why Butler doesn’t like playing with his team mates. I remember espn doing a special when he got traded to the wolves and he was in swamp boots somewhere deep in Minnesota wilderness super excited about the season. Then it goes bad. Hmm 🤔
Y’all gotta understand his perspective. Everyone knows without him the Heat are 🗑️. The moment they didn’t want to trade Herro for Dame is where the problem started. He took Miami to the finals twice and couldn’t do it with the talent they had. Pat Riley knows how bad they’ll be without him that’s the only reason he ain’t trade him
Sometimes I wonder if these NBA players have a working brain, or they just open their mouth and spew bs as a natural instinct. The guys say one thing, then its opposite, then a totally different unrelated idea, all in the same statement (makes you wonder if the "shut up and dribble" isn't actually a very valid advice)

@ he’s the one who has to carry that offense in the playoff to spit ppl like yall saying he isn’t that guy I don’t blame him for sitting out or not trying cause they slacked on getting sum one who would take much needed pressure off him off everyone he’s also the best and the number one option on that team and it’s all cause of his playoff elevation the heat are making shit harder than what it has to be before this pat and jimmy needed to come to the table apologize and have a open grown man conversation about what needs to happen on both sides
Love u vids
Joe rogan statue is crazy😂😂😂
When you want a ring you'll do anything to get it. And he's not getting any younger.
Hope he go back to PHILLY
When his new team struggles he will say I’m not finding joy here & want to be traded.
He’s the Aubameyang of the nba.
What will give his joy back? He’s the number 1 option, and Jimmy should have known seeding means nothing. If it’s just a contract then that’s not “on the court” and I doubt a big contract is gonna magically change his demeanor.
Diva mentality. But in fairness, he also plays hard when the need arises.
Jimmy for Trae Young or Jamal Murray ! 🔥
Jimmy just be trying to get paid and I give it to him he deserves it every time he be the best player on the team at the time!! If the team not trying to pay him that means they don’t think he a star so trade me then
NBA sure has gone downhill if the biggest news story right now is Butler and where he’s being traded to.
Watch he go to the nuggets just watch
New York Knicks is the best destination 😊
Glad that people are waking up to the monster jimmy butler is. He’s been given a pass for far too long
It’s funny the way the 76rs situation was breezed over like it was his fault for exposing what that team was. 😅
Jimmy Butler was talking about Joy Taylor
if this guy calls jimmy butler “ jb “ one more time …
This is Michael Jordan son guys, we can't be surprised. I can see Mike acting like this if the whole player empowerment movement was in the 90s.😮
Was Pat also incharge of hiring the sculptor for D-Wade's statue?
I wonder why Butler doesn’t like playing with his team mates. I remember espn doing a special when he got traded to the wolves and he was in swamp boots somewhere deep in Minnesota wilderness super excited about the season. Then it goes bad. Hmm 🤔
Y’all gotta understand his perspective. Everyone knows without him the Heat are 🗑️. The moment they didn’t want to trade Herro for Dame is where the problem started. He took Miami to the finals twice and couldn’t do it with the talent they had. Pat Riley knows how bad they’ll be without him that’s the only reason he ain’t trade him
"I want to get my joy back" - Statements like that by multimillionaire delusional athletes that honestly lost all touch with reality.
What is the issue that he's irritated with the heat? Idk what the problem is
People are tired of these crybabies who play 50-60 games a year crying about money
All those different hair colors, you should of known he was a headcase.
Jimmy Butler needs to go to the Memphis Grizzlies
Sometimes I wonder if these NBA players have a working brain, or they just open their mouth and spew bs as a natural instinct.
The guys say one thing, then its opposite, then a totally different unrelated idea, all in the same statement (makes you wonder if the "shut up and dribble" isn't actually a very valid advice)
And they Hate the fans. We sposed to kiss your ass? Cuz your good at playing a GAME??
Rogan line was outta pocket.
Jimmy Butler the only player I know that won't catch flak for openly ring chasing. Dude a hooper for sure, but got ZERO loyalty.
Diva 🧑🏾🎤 Butler.
You said the Heat have a good thing going.... they lost to the Jazz by 36.....
This dude is funny, funny do yall homework, Wade ,and Yall boy from Toronto also nasty work
Please send Him to Golden State...
I am really looking forward to another TMZ expose of Jimmy VS Draymond fist fight during practice.
miami never made a good move to strengthen the team ever since they landed jimmy
He was only in Philly one season and they won’t tryna give him no money maybe they will this time
He’s who they say Kyrie is tbh
Another Premadonna
Jimmy had always been overrated. He’s not “dominant”. Not that guy.
We did a move for Jimmy. Iight coming down
Get your big head coffee people ….. asking for 52 mil ….
Joe Rogan statue is insane 😂
Jimmy is a sore loser, and im shocked teams still want him. Yeah, good player but everything else, horrible.
He’s always been overrated. Even in his own mind. Please don’t come to the warriors. Just a ball of chaos and drama.
My man said Joe Rogan 😅😅😅
Jimmy done lost his Joy. 🤣🤣🤣🤣💵💵💵
Reminds me of HBK losing his smile.
Just trade him for KD.
😂 forgot about that incredible statue.
Here come the nets
This dude is clearly obsessed with the term “belt to @$$. He uses it in every upload. I have only seen 3, but he is 3 for 3.
You are never winning a championship Butler
Bro said someone who works at tmobile. I hope you love this trash job you got.
He has already done enough for the heat and the heat won't bring people to be competitive.
Being upset at Jimmy is hilarious to me
Jesus loves you
Jimmy Harden y’all
Send him to the Pistons for draft picks 🤭🤭🤭
Jimmy did nothing wrong!
It's about money right?
Yes
It always is.
It only happens like this during contract season 🤷🏾♂️ 🥷🏾wants his money every superstar does it when they don’t get their way big deal so what?
they are saying hes out of his prime but im looking at the league especially how shook everyone looks in the playoffs. i mean Jimmy is dominating matchups it hasnt stopped. i think on the business side they are hoping hes done cause hes making nba talent look bad
He's not even averaging 18 pts, making more money than Giannis and SGA dude.. He's not worth half his contract lol.
@@dolby8334 contracts are not reflective of durability and worth. Jimmy has proven he can go a whole season and peak in the playoffs. that has always had its own value based upon who wants to win the most. he is worth half his contract thats a crazy take....
@@dolby8334 Jimmy personally devalued Giannis several times. Nick Nurse did before him. so yeah thats not saying much. SGA is worth more than Jimmy and the rest of the league for sure...
@@dolby8334 those 18 points arrive exactly when he wants them to. gives them a different value. he can ruin your whole franchise with those 18. dont sleep
@tonysled6796 It's the same thing with Jamal Murray. People give them credit for giving their teams game winners and clutch shots, but in reality if you were a consistently good scorer it would never have to be that way to begin with. Why is he making more than league MVP's? Because his 17 pts a game are that valuable? Lol. That's crazy logic dude
Why these stupid haircuts? Explain me people.
Lol I swear these guys are worse then the nba stars from the 2000s straight diva mentality
