It was pretty big matey… I have to be honest I was intending on taking it with me.. until… I got everything loaded up on the Kayak then realized I had left the battery for the bixpy on charge at home. il do well to remember it next time especially in those conditions too! Thanks for checking out the video!
The camera never does it justice .. I think I’d have to be out in a storm for it to register as a bit of chop lol thanks for checking out the video it’s much appreciated!
Awesome video, that looked rough out there but a nice Bass to show for it. I'm looking forward to returning to the island this Friday, hopefully I can find a few fish. Tight lines 👍
Good luck buddy. Try the same tactics as last time you came that looked pretty fun. There’s big mullet in the harbour also so it’s worth perhaps ledgering with some bread flake and flicking a few spoon fulls of mix out.
Great vid Sam. Could see it was hard work out there although the camera never shows it anywhere near reality generally. Great to catch one and see the follow too. Good time out there.
It was so deceiving matey. I don’t think the GoPro footage does it much justice as to how choppy it actually was. Always best to turn in if it doesn’t feel right. I’d have been an idiot if I’d have tried that 2nd cove it was like the 5 mile road lol Thanks for checking out the video buddy! Best of luck for your next trip out!
Excellent treat to wake up to on a Sunday morning! Sure did look a bit rock n roll out there, Sam, definitely gets the blood pumping. Toddled down to Porthtowan yesterday afternoon, and my God the sea and surf looked absolutely stunning! Tight lines, mate, looking forwards to another year following your exploits.
There was quite a chop out there ay! you’ll have to get some footage of your trips out it would be great to see where your fishing and how your getting on! Thanks for checking out the video!
Not a fishing man myself but great video Sam, enjoyed watching it! Keep up the great work. Good to see you're keeping well & hopefully see you around the isle someday soon. Steve F
its just fresh water matey. i use it if the cameras get salt water on them they tend to go a bit hazy with the saltwater drying on them. also if my reels get a bit of a splash of dunked in i just give them a quick spray on the roller bearings from time to time if needed. but i mostly use it for squirting the camera lenses
Fair play Sam!!!
Brilliant video mate.
Roll on summer eh!!
Cheers for being out there!
Glad you enjoyed it buddy.. roll on summer indeed !

It was tricky out there with the swell in the second bay round.
Proper extreme fishing great video thanks mate 🎣🌊
No problem matey! I’m glad you enjoyed it! 👍
Brave man. I tried a swell like that in my Yak out of Bouley a couple of years ago, quickly turned back with a big NOPE!

Great video! I usually Fairweather kayak fish but want to get more serious, do you have any drysuit recommendations?
I’m using the nookie range buddy.
I think they are pretty good.

Hi, was that using the bixby?
Hi matey
No I didn’t have the Bixpy attached for this session.
