Been waiting a while to see ur vids. 👍 Absolutely brilliant. Theirs nothing worse than being disabled and not being able to get out. Now iam in hospital with cancer now. Glad its treatable. Anyways keep those vids coming in as it's helping me take my mind off of what's going on in here. Tight lines mate. 👍
Hi mate, I’m glad you’re enjoying the content and really glad it’s helping you pass the time whilst you have your treatment. The weather has been absolutely pants this winter so I’ve hardly managed to get out! However there must be about 60 plus vids on the channel now so hopefully that will keep you busy for a while! I hope you get well soon my friend. Tight lines pal 👍🎣
Good to see this one from earlier. The unpredictable forecast certainly seemed to set the tone for the summer...including down here in Devon. Lovely fish as always. Next year can't arrive soon enough! Best wishes, Kev
Hi Kev mate, it’s been a nightmare to be fair 🤣. We’ve not really had a settled spell since July! I’m heading west soon fingers crossed so hopefully there’ll be a few more uploads soon! 👍🎣
Well it's been a while but definitely worth the wait chris 👍 as always a quality video and thoroughly enjoyable watch 🎣👍 take care and Tightlines 🎣 Regards Arnie
I’ve just changed it this week for a hummingbird as it happens! I was using c-maps with it and it was great. Remember to change the settings to show detail when you load the card. I was out today as well. It was beautiful 🎣
Hi Colin mate, I’m glad you’re enjoying the content. The boots I use are Palm Gradient boots. They’re the best I’ve used by far! I’ve had them two seasons now and they’re as good as new 👍🎣
Another great video!! I listened to your previous reply on a other video I commented on and I’ve got a small cheap tool box from B&M glued to a star port fitting that I 3d printed. It’s a great solution!! I own a small fishing brand called LureBoi, I’d be happy to send you some lures to see how you get on in the sea? Free of charge obviously
Hi mate, yeah the toolbox is a cheap and cheerful addition isn’t it. Couple of quid and it’s so useful! I never say no to a free lure! You can message the page on Facebook or email me on here and I’ll more than happily give you my address! I’m heading west in a week or two as the weather on this coast has been very poor for months! Tight lines 👍🎣
Hy buddy. I'm a new subscriber to your channel and really enjoying it! I have a soft hull inflatable and try to get out as much as I can... Usually in the Highlands for fishing and wild camping. I have a quick question if you don't mind .. I'm looking to get my VHF radio license so I can venture into the open waters/coastlines. Are you aware of any courses? Any info would be great. Thanks buddy
Hi mate thanks for the sub, I’m glad you’re enjoying the content. If you only intend to use it in emergencies legally you only require an ofcom license which is free and you do it on line (you’re required to have the ofcom in any circumstances) If you want to talk to other anglers, boats etc you need the paid for RYA short range license - RYA (Royal Yachting Association) are the only people who do the course and you can do it on line or in person. Hope that helps 👍🎣
high chris peter from shotts i own a hobie outback 2010 kayak wanting a new kayak whats your view on galaxy kayaks also whats yout preffered line and breaking strain for cod and pollack with soft plastics
Hi mate, I’ve never owned a Hobie so I can’t compare the two but the galaxy’s are great for the money in my opinion. I use light braid for lure fishing, the 8 strand stuff - usually around the 0.10 - 0.13 mm mark (15-20lb ) Hope that helps 👍🎣
Hi mate by law you need the free offcom license you can do it on line it takes a minute. Thats the legal requirement if you only use the radio in emergencies. Chris can I pick your brains I did lots of canoeing with Durham kayak club i live in the 70’s 80’s but I’ve no idea of modern sit on boats my daughter is into paddle boarding and I thought I would buy a boat well a Galaxy Sturgeon ( best price I’ve found one) only thing I asked a paddler on the beach and he rubbished the sturgeon and I’ve no idea, so is it a good boat I ain’t going to paddle the farne’s any help would be great I’ll also fish on it.
Hi mate, the paddle version of the Sturgeon is great to fish from and has great primary stability - I used one for years, it’s not the fastest as a paddler but I think for the price it’s great, if you stretch to the FX version the pedals are even better. To paddle it’s not gonna be “fast” like your Vikings or your Prowlers but then it shouldn’t be as they cost twice as much. Hope that helps. Anything else you wanna know just shout 👍🎣
That’s great Chris I’ll go down that Galaxy sturgeon route. I can’t go back to my sea canoeing 70’s days and I wouldn’t want to. Ps what do you wear I know when I had my sea boat I just used a cag and trousers, I presume you need a dry suit now.
I wear a drysuit all year round myself. I have a typhoon ps330 extreme and it’s absolutely perfect. You’ll be sitting still for longer periods when fishing so you can chill quickly, especially in the winter and spring when the water is cold. 👍🎣
Fantastic, great video and I guess it must be pretty exhilarating out there
I love it out there, it’s an awesome and exciting way to fish. So peaceful as well when the weathers good. 👍🎣

I’ve just changed it this week for a hummingbird as it happens! I was using c-maps with it and it was great. Remember to change the settings to show detail when you load the card. I was out today as well. It was beautiful 🎣

How do you find this kayak mate? Looking at getting one with the outboard motor on it, and would love to know your feedback
I love it, it’s spot on. I’ve got three kayaks here at the mo and it’s my go to 👍🎣

Can I ask u a question do u need a licence for the vhf marine radio
Hi mate by law you need the free offcom license you can do it on line it takes a minute. Thats the legal requirement if you only use the radio in emergencies. If you want to call up other kayakers or boats you need the RYA short course license which you have to pay for/sit an exam. Hope that helps 👍🎣
