i breathed through mouth being a child for 6-14 years because i had a problem with my nose. I had to receive drops in nose to be able to breath through nose during sleep. When you lay in your bed and your one side of nose is unable to take in air then you will most likely to develope breathing through mouth reflex. Hence I have overbite, crowded teeth, and underdeveloped Maxilla just a little. Doctors forcing to do orthognatic surgery which is not the only solution.
Hi, should the teeth be clenched before the swallow is initiated? Should they touch at all? I noticed that it is kind of easier for me to swallow when the teeth are clenching when swallowing, but doing that hurts my jaw a little bit.
Yeah your teeth can slightly bite down when swallowing. The goal should be to not engage your face muscles (Mona Lisa style) and keep the tip of the tongue in the spot as she said and have a good lip seal.
Thank you, by far the most clear demonstration on the topic.
