I loved the first movie growing up, and the fact that over 20 years later it’s getting a sequel, it makes me feel complete.

I like how Tweedy’s not underestimating the chickens anymore. She’s even gone the extra mile of making the new farm seem fun and happy but you can see the chickens there look like they’re in a cult with how they follow the guy in the chicken suit and stare off into space.
she was trying to make the chickens happy? please in the first movie she kept them locked up in a prison-like chicken farm, killed one of them if they didn't lay enough eggs and she tried to turn them all into chicken pot pies why would she think that would make them happy and now in this one the only reason the chickens are happy is because dr. fry placed collars on the chickens that turn them all into mindless happy zombies it's not really happiness

This should be released into cinemas it would be huge in the box office. Probably one of the best film of the year.
Aardrman likely don't wanna take that risk after no one went to see Early Man
*imagine this being released in IMAX and in 3D*
@@TheZebbgabut this is Chicken Run we are talking about, you know only the most successful stop-motion film of all time… it makes sense to put it in theaters imo
@@1ROCKET- I agree that I want it to be in cinema. 100% I do. I just also support Aardman a lot and understand their concerns after Early Man (a really great film) did terribly and they probably are hesitant.
I’m one of the few people who got to see this in a cinema (I was at the world premiere) and it’s a real shame more people won’t get that experience. There are a few jokes in the movie involving popcorn that kinda feel like they were written with a cinema audience in mind.
This is insane, I never in my life thought we’d get a sequel to the iconic Chicken Run!!! Now give us a flushed away sequel in claymation🤩
Holy shit, that would be epic
yeah but i don't think it's ever going to happen because before early man came out in 2018 flushed away was aardman's first biggest box office failure
@@user-se7dj6he3e We don't know for sure, when DreamWorks's movie Megamind did dissopoint in the box office but it's getting a new series
So it's possible to get a Flushed Away sequel or series
I love Ginger’s character design. Her years of trauma trapped in Tweety’s farm and watching so many friends die has made her fear returning to the outside world. She appears to be somewhat of a helicopter parent, afraid of losing her daughter, pushing Molly to leave seeing the island as a prison.
I remember watching Chicken Run as a kid and I absolutely loved it. It’s always been my favorite Aardman movie, it’s amazing that over 20 years later it’s finally getting a sequel and I can’t wait to watch this!

Chicken Run (with Wallace and Gromit) was one of my favourite cartoons during my childhood. I used to watch it over and over again when I spent the summer holidays at my grandmother’s place. As far as modern sequels go this looks awesome! It’s such a realistic progression from the first one and I think the story will come full circle!

I'm 21, Chicken Run is still the scariest movie, modern horror cannot compete with Mrs. Tweeny saying pie machine
23 years ago I watched the first movie in theaters with the entire family. I was 10, now I'm 33.
This feels surreal.
I was just born back then, watched the first movie as a child when I was 10. Now I'm 23 lol.
0:07 - The puns, the puns are everywhere!
Should’ve been theatrical release. I would’ve loved to see this playing!
I remember watching the original as a kid. I can't wait to see the sequel on Netflix.
Dreamworks Animation made the first Chicken Run Movie and now the sequel is on Netflix.
Mrs. Tweedy's voice actress is the same voice actress who played that annoying reporter in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
I’m a bit upset that they refused to allow the original voice of Ginger her role back when she sounds just fine and wanted to reprise her role. This still looks really amazing, though, and I can’t wait to watch it! :)
Yes it was unfortunate and unfair for Julia not to be able to reprise her role, she was perfect as Ginger, but I hope people will not attack Thandiwe for Netflix or Aardman's decisions for this film, I am sure Newton did her best she could too, and no one would probably complain if she was the original Ginger, either (well I know she wasn't but isn't Sawalha only 4 years older than Newton?) but honestly this sequel deserves to come out and it looks amazing for its own reasons 💕💖✨🤗😻🐣🐔
I am also slightly upset they didn’t get mel Gibson back.
Netflix recasted everyone except Imelda Staunton and Lynn Ferguson. Fowler is understandable since his original VA is gone.
I just pray it was a Netflix decision and not Aardman.

@@spenser9908 that's true, move with escapes usually means the next sequel is gonna be escape from the same/similar place
I'm still astounded they kept the claymation angle, and it makes me so happy! Curious what angle they're going to take about the "why we don't leave home" thing since, in this case, Ginger has complete reason to be scared to do so. Can't wait!
Yeah after a lifetime of living on Tweedy's Farm I'd be surprised if she didn't have PTSD and wanting to stay on the island forever. Much better than the overbearing parent cliche.
OML i finally found a comment talking abt Ginger’s trauma. My poor girl has every right to feel this way, and i hope Ginger’s daughter can understand y she told her she couldnt leave.
@LGStudious Yeah, this isn’t like Little Mermaid.

This is literally the plot of Toy Story with chickens
This movie scared me as a kid (ESPECIALLY THE PIE MACHINE SCENE COUGH COUGH), but to see it come back 20+ years later is amazing.
Imagine seeing Mrs. Tweety’s reaction to ginger be like:YOU!
There's some unnecessary recasting in this film, but still, how exciting is it that we're finally getting a sequel after twenty three years
It's a real shame isn't it, so may sound so different. I'm sure it'll be great but it feels a bit sad.
Well, the three major recasts (Ginger, Rocky, Fowler) DID have justification.
Ginger’s VA was probably the least so, but it had been 20+ years, and someone’s voice can change a lot during that time.
With Rocky’s, they could’ve picked a closer match, but Mel Gibson is probably too expensive/controversial.
And Fowler’s VA died, so that was the most justified.
@@hannahw4328 Gingers VA proved she sounded exactly the same and made it public - Rocky made 100% sense since the controversy, and Fowler, defo made sense!
@hannahw4328 Yeah I mean I fully understand Rocky tbf and I love Zach Levi but it is a very different voice, sounds like he's gotten 20 years younger 🤣
@@hannahw4328 So there was one justification: Fowler...

When movies or shows get dubbed in Dutch, they rarely get dubbed in the Belgian variety of Dutch (Flemish), let alone in dialects. The first Chicken Run movie had a Flemish dub with strong dialect-based accents and it was HILARIOUS. PLEASE I need this again for this sequel!!!

If I tell you something, would you believe me? Thanks. Back in 2004, I jotted down ideas for a Chicken Run 2 .... The plot outline was surprisingly similar, except Molly was a male chick named Beakie and the antagonist was Mr Tweedie's elderly mother, livid at her son for running the chicken farm, that she and her late husband had worked so hard on, into the ground. I wanted someone like Liz Dawn (Vera Duckworth) or Dora Bryan to voice her. It wasn't a factory either - it was just the remains of the original chicken farm which Old Ma Tweedie planned to relaunch, with Beakie as the first chicken pie. I was 15 :)
The OG movie and Wallace & Gromit made me fall in love with stop motion as an art form. I hope this will be an enjoyable sequel~!
I was 6 years old when the first movie came out and even have great memories seeing it with my grandfather, now here we are 23 years later here’s hoping it’s good, also fun fact Molly (rocky and gingers daughter) is voiced by Bella Ramsey the voice actress for Hilda

I remember rewatching this movie so many times with my brother, when I was a kid. My dad asked us how come we’re never bored of it as we already know the ending. 😅
I wonder how many people eat chicken nuggets while watching a movie about chickens trying to avoid becoming nuggets, and fail to connect any dots.
