Yeah. But it's not just about an amazing visual spectacle. I think goes beyond that. There is a strong Story Theme behind it. It's about overcoming our basic nature. That possibility makes us humans. This universal and true theme is very well captured in this trailer. It seems the storyteller knows clearly what he wants to tell.
And no intense 5 second sequence that grabs your attention by the jugular
What drew me in this trailer was the lack of dialogue. That is so refreshing you have no idea. Really hope this does well
This. I was almost disappointed to see all these actors listed at the end because now I feel like this would be better without or with minimal dialogue. I know there was dialogues in the book, but this trailer sold me on the idea of the adaptation being "silent".
@@Brejan Me too. I was immediately into this, but when i was reading more in the description and saw all the actors, i was a little nervous. Even if there's some slight speaking, i really hope the animals don't talk a lot, because it feels like it would be more Disney that way. But in the trailer you can hear a bunch of animal noises, so maybe it's just not all the time? Either way I'm really exited for this movie and can't wait. I'm really hoping to get my mom to go with me since the only one she agreed to see once was wish, (and we all know how that went) so i want to have her see this instead to make up for it

The trailer is good, but the whole "epic/awesome/hollywood orchestral" version of classic songs IS a cheap corny trope.
I hope that dreamworks takes this movie in a serious direction something like the same level as serious of Prince of Egypt

@@kizo5513Whilst I agree, this is more of a technofied version of What a Wonderful World, which I think fits the movie a lot better than just ‘insert orchestra here’ as seen in Marvel movies. The song itself is beautifully chosen for the movie, it’s a song about the world being wonderful in spite of its flaws, sung originally by a man who lived through both World Wars, and this cover has it sung through a robotic-sounding filter, making it seem alien and more awe-stricken than Louis Armstrong’s original vocals. This is sung as if by a robotic onlooker, first discovering the true beauty of Earth’s nature.

The fact that Dreamworks is making an artistic animated movie on the same level that Pixar used to do shows how much change the animation industry has gone through over the past decade.
It's better than Pixar. Pixar has been stagnant for the most part since Frozen came out. Art style is still very much the same for all movies since then. Could be why it is floundering. Dreamworks is capitalizing on animation thanks to different styles of projects as well as storytelling.
DreamWorks in its era atm and I hope it stays that way for a bit

@@z0tw Pixar didn't even make Frozen. You're probably thinking of Walt Disney Animation studios because Pixar's art style has definitely changed throughout the movies. You can't look at me with a straight face and say Elemental, Lightyear, Turning Red, and Soul all had the same art style.

Jokes aside DreamWorks themselves technically didn't make the new Megamind movie. That was done by DreamWorks television division, practically a whole different studio working on much smaller budgets.

As a school librarian I read this book to my students when it first came out, and they fell in love with the story. It looks like the movie is going to do it justice. Can’t wait to see it!

Congratulations to Peter Brown for being wild and wonderful! Everyone, if you have not read the amazing book this movie is based on, please do! The Wild Robot by Peter Brown is the first in his series, followed by The Wild Robot Escapes and The Wild Robot Returns. I personal think the book should have won the Newberry award.
Now this is a movie that the world needs to see because not only can it make you cry your eyes out but shows us the true meaning of life,love & nature in the most amazing, simple-themed and honest way possible. The fact that this takes place in the eyes of a robot ( you can see the true emotionally sadness when the birds leave him 2:03-2:05) simply feels my heart with love and joy because I haven’t seen an amazing robot movie since Disney’s WALL-E and it seems like Dreamworks is walking down the right path of success. I’ve never been more excited and proud of them!
It warms my heart to see an honest-to-goodness quiet, meditative-looking children's film coming out in this day and age.
Ghibli movies are masters at that, and I love it so so very much!

This trailer has me on the verge of tears. Something about it was just so magical and hit me right in the feels.
This already feels so much more different from Dreamworks usual output. I can tell that this is gonna be really special.

Considering that this is the last film DreamWorks made entirely in-house, it does show how much passion and heart they put into this film. This following its unique animation style is the reason why I'm supporting this film.
Indeed, I'm gonna watch it not only for the beautiful animation and good storytelling, but also because is their last animation made in-house by DreamWorks, and I'm going to support it.

@@Laura-ef3mm In-house means that they can produce their movies with their own animators. After that, their next projects will be outsourced from other studios like Sony Pictures Imageworks, meaning that they can't produce animated movies on their own anymore.
Uh they are moving from 100% in-house to relying on third parties to help. They arent stopping their animation lol.

This was inspired by a book with the same title,I’ve read it and am in tears of how good they’ve represented it! To be clear I never finished the book but I’m still exited to see this!! 😅
My sister bought this book and it's sequel for my daughter when she was around 5. I read it to her every night, and she loved it so much she didn't want to attend a sleepover she was invited to because she'd miss a night of hearing about Roz. It was one of the few books I legitimately enjoyed reading to her, and it was so difficult not reading ahead after she'd inevitable fall asleep. I can't wait to see this with her. I'm so happy to see it's being done by DreamWorks.

For those who didn’t know, this was based one a book story which had more than 2 parts in the series. It’s called “The Wild Robot” where a Robot adopts a little duckling. I’m happy this is getting its own movie. The book was perfect.
At first I thought this was a different type of story. But I realized this was based on a book that I read.

Too bad that wall of celebrity names means the final film's going to have talking animals. I get that most audiences couldn't handle a film with no dialogue (which is why Wall-E has the humans after the first third of the film, originally it was going to be fully dialogue-free but Pixar relented), but it'd be great to see something so experimental and innovative.
BUT, that said, given this appears to be by the team behind The Last Wish, I have faith that even with talking animals it'll be something amazing.
This trailer tugged at some heart strings, perfect combination of story, visuals, sound and music, can't wait to see it.

...I only saw this trailer days ago as of this. I'm only now realizing that this part of the song likely refers to Roz's apparent inability to fly compared to this tiny gosling bebeh who will _eventually_ know how to fly.

This is my favorite genre of anything. Quirky robot exploration that ruins your emotions.

I think animation as whole has had a down grade. But stuff like this movie are exactly what we want and need. Original ideas, beautiful and independent creativity, no boring or controversial opinions or dialogue. Happy to see it.

This is about to become the next Prince of Egypt for the new generation. I honestly have high hopes that it does just as beautiful and heartwrenching as the Prince of Egypt did for me as a kid.
For some reason, this makes me feel old... BUT THE ANIMATION IS SO BEAUTIFUL JESUS AND ITS SO EMOTIONAL!!!!
We just saw this trailer at a kid’s movie today. After the trailer before it, which also had something similar to a robot (totally different themes and animation), my son said that it made him think of The Wild Robot, a kid’s novel we both adored, because wouldn’t it be great if they made a movie of The Wild Robot. You can then imagine how excited we were when the next trailer began with the robotic eye blinking open and the sea otters. I said “that’s The Wild Robot!” He said, “no…is it?” I said, yes that’s Rozz… and sure enough! The animation looks beautiful, and the trailer looks faithful to the book, which is absolutely wonderful. We are autistic, and the book really resonated with us and our other non-neurotypical friends. I teared up a little in the theater tbh. SO SO THRILLED for this movie!

It’s rare that a film- no, a TRAILER for a film almost made me cry, but this is special
I grew up loving animals and, as a neurodivergent kid, often related more to them than to my peers. Now, I’m about to graduate and looking for a degree in ecology and/or art, which honestly isn’t a combo that I see often. But this? I can already tell this is going to be gorgeous. So dreamworks, from the bottom of my amateur field worker heart, thank you.

The story, the setting and above all the animation of this movie looks incredibly dazzling, gorgeous, interesting and unique. There's something about Lupita N'yonga being the lead that makes it sound even better.
i dig literally everything about this. the art direction, the animation, the main character, the world, and putting that remix of "what a wonderful world" hit me like a truck. since its already a song that brings me nostalgia for nothing, this makes it hurt more.

As someone who has read the book, (not the second, nor third sadly because it’s hard for me to get into novels) I was so excited when I heard that they were making a movie.
At first I was a bit nervous, fearing that it might be not as good as the book, but seeing the trailer now makes me so eager and excited to watch it.
as a 3d artist im pretty sure all of the design team had a blast working on this one , the visuals and the artstyle looks so amazing.

I saw this trailer at the theater today and it stood out to me right away. The idea of a robot exploring and learning from nature is interesting and I’m excited to see a movie that looks like it won’t be relying on dialogue to tell its story.
Went from not even knowing this book existed or that this movie was even in production to legitimately getting chills watching this. This is now one of my most anticipated movies of the year.

This feels like a trailer that is putting a lot of artistic polish on a film that is nowhere-near as unique and amazing as it is being presented here.

I’m going to suggest a different style of animation that you may or may not like but in my opinion one of the most beautiful things I’ve watched. Scavengers Reign on MAX.
This movie was a book before this (I had to read it in school I think) I liked the book and has some very bittersweet themes and emotion roller-coaster of a plot, recommend anyone to read it if they hadn't before
It reminds me a bit of Iron Giant, The Bastion OW short as well with the forest, and the themes of something made apart from nature trying to coexist, while being feared as a potentially very real threat as the otters back away, And could easily tie into current ai fears as well as next to Wall-E.
Just seeing this trailer in the theater almost made me cry. This movie looks really good

I teared up watching this trailer because reading these books to my son at night was such a joy. This story is so touching and even though it's about a robot, it's so deeply human and emotional. This is my kiddos favorite story, and the time we spent together reading it seems to have become one of those "core-memory" moments for him, so even watching the trailer - just tears.

Me and my sister watched this trailer in the movies and we both started crying because we both have a huge appreciation for animation and art and this was just so beautiful.
There’s something about this trailer that keeps bringing me back! This is the 5th time I’ve seen it and it still pulls all the same heartstrings. Idk team, feels like a good one.
I have not audibly said "Wow" to a trailer for anything in quite some time, the way I did with this one. Essentially no dialogue, and I am already fully enthralled and enraptured in the story of this Robot.
Read the book THEN watch the trailer, it will make you "wow" even more and maybe even make you cry

As a reader of the book, this is VERY accurate the only difference is that its more entertaining

This is the moral message to this upcoming movie. I can't wait to see this.

This is the best trailer I have seen in a long time! No distracting dialog, and no spoilers. Film makers have lost the art of making a true trailer, and they seem to give away too much of the plot in the viewing of this teaser of a short that is designed to catch your interest and wanting more! I am happy the art of trailer making has not completely died off! Well done, this looks like a movie I would love to see in the theater! For a trailer to evoke emotion speaks volumes!
Him raising a duck/goose and having to say goodbye to it is a pretty big spoiler. And showing a huge forest fire. I feel like this trailer showed way too much
