The story makes sense with the characters and circumstances, most of the jokes landed pretty well and the whole thing built off the dark implications and fight for freedom of the previous film fairly well. I don't think I have any complaints, to be honest. Nice work, Aardman ^^
It was good. Only thing that was dramatically different was Rockys arch. He was a bafoon in this. In the other one he was kind of dunb but played it serious and cool.
@@HumanHamCubethis is true but I think him settling down with Ginger and becoming a Dad also comes into play when you talk about how his demeanor changed. He’s no longer the cool “Lone Free Ranger” playboy-ish type of guy. He has people he cares about that need him and depend on him to do his absolute best. Even if his best is acting on feeling and jumping the gun before thinking 😂
I’m glad that they made a sequel, it’s got the same charm and humor as the first movie I watched and enjoyed since my childhood. Now if they make a sequel to Flush away, I’d be extremely excited.
This is a fascinating process, always intrigued to watch. I loved Chicken Run as a kid, when I rewatched it I got major nostalgia from certain scenes and the soundtrack. I would have been fine without a sequel, but I'm glad it exists now. Molly was an enjoyable character, very much like Ginger, but also her own person. Or, well, chicken. I also loved that she's shaped like a grown hen, but still shorter than her parents. As someone who has raised chickens as pets, it mimics the awkward stage of growth very well. Adult colours are coming in, they've got their wings, but they're small and possibly a bit lanky. Adorable, is a way to describe it. Good work!
Thank u director..and all the cast... I was 11 yrs old when I was watching this with my family in the morning..my late father accompany me at the time. Now he's gone when I was 13 yrs old. now I'm 34..married, n still watching it over and over again. oh I feel so young.. time passes so fast. I love this animation..
I watched it in the movie theatre and to be honest it had a made-for-tv feel to it.. I don't think the budget was anywhere close to that of the original
It also was the reason we got Best Animated Feature as a Oscar category, a lot of the voters were old school film fans who grew up in the 60’s when WW2 prison break films were massive
I like that they added the famous villain of Feathers McGraw in the final scene posing as a chicken - these little nods to the past are just brilliant! Well done Aardman
How nostalgic watching our childhood cartoon movie back. Remember when I was 5 years old watching Chicken Run. Now I'm 27 years old. Time flies so fast.
Babs is my favourite character. She is so clueless yet intelligent at the same time. Also, her innocence is very addictive. Something about the voice actor as well. It's just perfect.
Since I was very young I've just marveled at the whole idea of stop motion animation, to see how Aardman are able to bring characters to life in the way they do is always so amazing to me. Perhaps in another life I'm an Aardman animator!
You deserve all the love of everyone who watched the movie and you have to know that we apreciate your hard work and your touch in keeping the magic and the old style that we all grew loving it
This was a fantastic perspective into the production of the film! All that hard work and attention to detail really paid off, I really enjoyed the sequel!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the love and passion you guys put into this! When I heard they were making a sequel for chicken run, my heart sank because I don't have much faith now adays, but this movie blew me away!
I can remember going my local cinema to watch the first film and I loved it from start to finish and now to see behind the scenes of this amazing sequel is just incredible thanks for sharing this 👍❤️
10:25 - 10:30 Fun fact: Nobby was the name of a younger brother Ginger would've had in the original movie, but he was removed to make the film less "cute".
@@sofig22 I don't know why this person is saying this as it is incorrect. The video says Molly was originally going to be a boy called Nobby. The chickens always only had one child.
10:25 OMG! That's really what was supposed to be Ginger's brother in the first movie Nobby?! I've just learned that he would have made the movie "too cute" from AniMat's lookback on DreamWorks Animation! What a lost treasure found!
Yeah! My old childhood favorite now has a cluckin' good sequel on Netflix, 23 years later. Wow. I am turning 25 in a little over a week from this reply and I'm already feeling quarter of a century old knowing this fact.
Back in 2020 last year of uni, we were told they finish the storyboard/colour script. I couldn’t believe there was a sequel. Can’t believe it’s out now, just watched it. It’s good film, better than I thought. You got Flynn rider there too 😂😂😂
I remember it like it was yesterday when I watched the first one. I was so scared. This one balances things for me, and now I feel like my childhood is rewritten in a positive way. 😅😅
I did enjoy the movie, but I can never forgive them for not casting Julia Sawalha to reprise Ginger with the excuse that she now sounds too old (which she proved that she doesn't)... to play a character.... who is now older... 🤨
I really love this movie since i was a little girl i was afraid eating chicken after i watch this movie hahaha .. But i really hope they make a sequel another old classic cartoon movies just like this one
At the end of the first one movie, there were a lot of baby chicks trained by Fowler, but why at the second movie, Molly is becoming the only one baby chicks?
I like the idea they were gonna give them a chicken son but then they decide to give them a daughter instead, they could still have a son maybe he’ll be here in the thirds equal to Molly can have a brother and then Ginger and Rocky could have another child who will be the villain in the third one. Maybe I’ll be wolves or foxes because after the first two movies were the villain are humans I think it be cool if in the third movie, it could be an animal be a villain. . This movie looks cool.
The fact that it's so clean to the point where it actually looks like CGI. Mind brakeing
stop motion has bin getting so good some poeple decided to make obvious mistakes to make sure poeple dont think its cgi
Watched it last night and I know what you mean some of it felt like CGI was a fun film
Laila does that imo
It’s a shame they didn’t show any of the actual CGI that’s in the movie. As it does have quite a bit.
@@btn237Yeah, but now all the studios want people to think that what is being done now is all prectical.

my childhood meets the second stage
Same brother

Yesssssssss
No what are you talking about this movie is terrible compared to the first one
@LanceTheAmerican "Opinion" mean anything to you?
Babs finally got her holiday 😭
Our childhood became a Netflix Original sequel!!! 😊
My thoughts exactly!
this movie was so well done!! so funny and a great script!! props to everyone and especially the animators!

Sort of film that should have got a cinema release.
I have a feeling they got a bigger budget by going through Netflix, plus less risk of not making a return on their money
I watched it in the movie theatre and to be honest it had a made-for-tv feel to it.. I don't think the budget was anywhere close to that of the original
The first movie was one of the highest grossing stop motion film of all time, and no other stop motion movie since have claimed the title.
It also was the reason we got Best Animated Feature as a Oscar category, a lot of the voters were old school film fans who grew up in the 60’s when WW2 prison break films were massive
I saw the sequel and it was great! It was really funny! They really did a great job making this movie!
Love, love, love! Gonna be great. Props to everyone who worked on this film.
I LOVE seeing the animatics, there's some glimpses of it in here. Please release the animatics as an extra/"special features"

Back From the Shadows Again... (sorry, couldn't resist a Firesign Theatre reference: see 'I Think We're All Bozos On This Bus'...)
CHICKEN RUN 2 CAME OUT TODAY, ITS TODAY ITS TODAY 🎉
Is there a behind the scenes with the voices of the characters? I'd love to see interviews with the actors.
6:21 Mrs Tweedy (Miranda Richardson) is back
I was surprised
@@d-staxworldwidestax7112 Yeah same
I could just watch hours of filming of this film, it’s just so phenomenal
The stop motion animation and the blood sausage is incredible in each character and in the villain of Chicken Run 🐔🐣
Bravo to all the Animators at Aardman!
One of my favourite movies 🍿❤

Absolute masters of their craft. The best start stop motion ever.
it was worth waiting 23 years, thank you 😁🤣😂😍👍
I honestly wish we had both Nobby and Molly in the film. I love a good sibling dynamic
Such a shame this movie doesn’t come out in the cinema… excited to watch it though!

I loved it. Wasn't hopeful being brought through Netflix but it felt like my childhood film again 😊
It's been 23 years
There’s a thing of magic and beauty that happens with stop motion that blows my mind
Absolutely beatiful!!! Thank u guys for all that effort!
Best movie ever I'm so happy see stop motion still used for chicken run 2
This kind of animation cannot really be replaced
1:15 - Can we appreciate how many times the animator changed clothes (different days) just to animate a single sentence...
I watched this movie , absolutely beautiful .Thank u for bringing my childhood movie back😊
Aardman are fantastic, best animation studio ever in my opinion. Love their work so much. ❤
I was convinced watching it that aardman had moved away from spotmotion. This must have taken years. Incredible. A credit to british cinema
I watched this movie today with my dad and we loved it, I especially loved how Babs is more childish and out of character in her own way 😂👍
I love this! That animation is so clean!!
Ardman is the art of patience.
this is a true work of art loved this new one
Amazing work!!🤩🤩🤩🤩💯💯
Excellent work

Thanks for a wonderful childhood movie can't wait to watch this
I can't wait to see the movie 😊
The way the clay does not mix is incredible. the only type of show i like is chicken run
I love these behind the scenes videos so much
The fact that they became so advanced within 3 years
The quality is so good you think it’s not stop motion
These guys did an amazing job!!
Amazing work you have earned my respect 🎉🎉🎉
Just don't watch them back to back if you're worried about things like: "Why don't any of the characters sound like themselves?!"

Hi Netflix! Ok, we didn't get this film in cinema. Can we please get at least the DVD? Thank you!

Well the chickens are technically all female so
I don't think we'll get a third. If we do it will probably be a short Christmas special.
@@daffyduck9323 But hey, at least they don't have to worry about overpopulation. :P
I saw the penguin in the movie at the ending which is real cool bc we haven't seem him in over 30 years
They put so much effort unlike those plain CGI movies.
Hope, at some point, they do release this in cinemas, even for a limited run
