2024 Shad Run Starts in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia)

It seemed like it was about that time, so I made it out to one of the local rivers for a little casting before work the morning of March 8th. There wasn't much activity, but I did manage to come away with one, so am giving the Shore Fisherman's endorsement that the 2024 Shad Run has started. I would imagine the cold weather blowing in this weekend may slow things down, but would think there should be good numbers in the rivers in another few weeks. Got reports of some being caught here local in VA this last week...now we got a ton of rain over the weekend and the river is a muddy mess... going to take some time to clear back up now.
