  • Catching back to back shad on artificials using light tackle, some of the funnest fishing I've done in a while! All near Fletcher's boathouse, in the nations capital.

      It’s directly under chain bridge on the Potomac side they like snagging them there

    What lure where you using. I went there for 7 jour and i just had 1 bite

      I was using shad darts this day but a good 1/32 oz spoon will get you a lot of bites! Have to be able to cast far enough to get to them

      @@jimmerfishingtv4330 I have found the best thing to catch them is a tandem rig with both a shad dart and small shad spoon tied off it. Another option is a 1/16 oz jig with the shad spoon tied of it. As you mentioned, the key is to be able cast far and let it sink. A light or light medium with 6 pound test is the probably the best-unfortunately I only have a medium with 8 lb test and an UL with 4 pound-both work, but something in the middle would be ideal. When they are running thick like that, its so much fun!
