Asset = liability+capital
But liability asset kaise ho sakti h?
Doubt is regarding question no. 1
Where capital is 2L, liability is 3L and you are saying asset is 5L?

Opening stock+purchase+direct expenses-closing stock will give u cost of goods sold.
Sales-Cost of goods sold=Gross profit
Note- when sales return is given, we take net sale in the above formula (Sales-Sales return=Net sales)
Similarly, If purchase return is given, we take net purchases(Purchase-purchase return)
Net profit = gross profit-indirect expenses like salary,rent,commission on sales etc
