Call me corny, but I would love it if they made a movie (or documentary musical video) of Hua Hua’s life from childhood to now. I’m so in love with this young man’s accomplishments throughout his life. The strength and determination is takes for him to display his craft just astounds me. Hugs to Hua Hua for making a name for himself. I hope he is happy with his life now. Sometimes I worry that he still has reservations of his upbringing, which is hard to let go, but look how far he’s come. Stay sweet young one and stay true to yourself. Please listen to 2013 Super Boy FAKE MONK & then listen to the 2018 version on The Singer, this program and how he has evolved since he was 23 and worked at his craft and his voice. Please watch one of his current concerts so you can understand, please do Madhouse, Sacred Tree and Seven Personalities. He really gives of himself.
I also had heard that since his father owns a Silver Mine and he may inherit that, he had things from his parents and to show that it did just matter, he lived like an average person for a year. He is an old soul for sure, always takes a risk and never goes to the mainstream,

This is the first song that I have ever heard of huachenyu‘a song 2 years ago just in a cold afternoon here in Melbourne. I was intended to listen to Pushu version and I came across huahua,loved and love him since then. Thank you for your reaction,always happy to watch.
My favorite of HuaHua. Love listening to PuShu sing the original. Sometimes will listen to it on repeat for an hour. The Buddhist connection is strong feeling. Something about HuaHua's ability to take a song out of this world. Thanks to Andy for this!!

So well-said, a lot of Hua Chenyu's songs are simply poetry to me! With every performance of his, he always brings out so many feelings inside of me that I didn't know I have.
Part of the rules of the show is they can only perform 2 of their own songs the rest have to be covers and the covers have to be re-arranged in some way. Makes for some incredible versions of songs

Tbh, thank you for your analysis of the music and his performance. I wanna say that these songs he picked are actually not that popular originally, which shows that he truely uses his true emotions into the songs and never follows what is popular in Chinese songs.

I am curious...are you not viewing the singer performances in the order that Hua Hua performed them anymore? The reason I ask is because if you were still doing them in that order, then you skipped episode 10 which was "Fake Monk". "Ordinary Path" is from episode 11. I was looking forward to you watching "Fake Monk" for your next Hua Hua reaction and was a bit disappointed that you skipped over it. Not that "Ordinary Path" isn't good because like all of his songs/performances, it is very good. "Fake Monk" is special though and as such, it is outstanding. When you do finally watch "Fake Monk", there is a pre-performance interview that aired before the song in the original episode that you should watch first. There is a copy of that clip in the English subs section. It is your choice whether you want to watch it before you start taping your reaction to that song or watch it as part of the reaction video before watching the song. Please watch it though. It explains why he felt the need to perform that song and why he made the choices he made when arranging the original song for his performance.
