🏎 🏁Fantastic video and thanks for sharing all thgese cool HUD overlay Mods. I am your new subscriber 946 to help you get over the 1K line (pun intended). I am a newbie to gaming in general at the ripe ol age of 60 I have recently purchased ACC, Wreckfest, BeamNG and a Thrustmaster TMX Steering Wheel & Pedal set. All this looks like so much fun and I think I will be building my own DIY Sim Rig. I own a 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix 455 stroker 👍🏻I recon this game will be way cheaper on fuel ⛽lol. Take care and Cheers from Western Australia 🏁
If you start Crew Chief first, it will change the port to 9000 in the broadcast.json config file with a password, then use that port and password in the settings for RaceLab
Pete, I also use Crew Chief but I cannot see the overlays. I left the broadcasting.json untouched as CC changes it back to it's needs. Racelabs uses the same connections settings. ACC is in windowed mode but the overlays still do not show up. Any idea what I may be doing wrong? Thx in advance.
@@lefttoe6969 ACC wants the broadcasting file to use 9000 and asd values. Crew Chief naturally wants to use them. Keep them that way. Any overlay service creates it's own local web server on your PC and uses a different port to broadcast the telemetry from the game. SimHub, RaceLabs and Armamentario all do this. You have noted the IP and port from the Stream Info panels for each of the Apps (for example, RaceLabs) and added Browser widgets to OBS. In OBS for each one you can position and size for showing the output on stream. I try and start all the services to the Overlays ahead of running ACC itself. It usually means all show output as expected. If they don't display the expected output one possible solution is to open the widget and at the bottom use the cache refresh button. I have found this updates the data to OBS to show the current active overlay output and doing this for each in turn gets them back working. Let me know if this was the issue you are actually having and it fixed it for you. Worst case, start your PC fresh and all services for web ports will be reset. If you have a antivirus program that blocks the ports by default the Apps like RaceLabs use, then that could be a factor and need to be added to the list to allow through
I'm trying to get this to work, I can only see the lap times overlay and none of the rest. When I go to support (in racelabs) it shows me to have the listener port at 9000 and a different password am I still supposed to take out the password like your video? Reason I am asking is because when I opened up the broadcasting.json file, it already matched what racelab support said to edit it to.
Hey Herbie, I would try exactly as in the video to see if it makes a difference dude, if not I would reach out to Racelabs support to see what the issue might be, they're generally quite fast with support requests :)
Hey Andrew! Appreciate you checking out the video. I know Crew Chief works with ACC ( minus a few bugs ) but you wouldn't be able to use the auto fuel until race end etc functionalities In crew chief with ACC and Racelabs to my knowledge unfortunately 😄
@@Harto1 thanks for the reply, just tried racelabs and like the layout, can't seem to get racelabs and crew chief to work together but not bothered ....... Thanks for the reply....
Hey man! In the premium version there's an option for overlays for both your own and stream viewers to see 😁 Not so much flexibility in the free version though I'm afraid
i wanted to try this but it just doent work. the overlays just open empty windows. tried multiple tips from the comments, nothing helped. tried simhub and that worked instantly. weird. I guess simhub it is. but racelabs overlays seem so mmuch nicer. urgh, now i have to install my won overlays
No overlays showing up for me, they are in the taskbar when i hover over racelabs i can see but not in game, ive disabled fullscreen etc and done everything else in the video, any ideas?
HI Alan, I get no timing relative for any track now. It used to work but now for some reason has gone off. All the file and connection settings are good so Im puizzled. Do you have any solutions?
Hey buddy, it's still within your overlay as an element yeah? If you updated ACC recently you may need to recheck the broadcasting.json file again to check if the changes made are still there. Although I have also been having trouble using Racelabs with ACC as of late. Noticing overlays not showing / not reading data correctly etc which is a shame. Try check the above and if not might be best reach out to Racelab 🤘😁
I noticed you removed the top left - what did you do for lap differentials (up or down) during the lap? I know a lot of the car MFDs have them, but not all of them are easy to read
Hey dude! I added them to the relative HUD display within RaceLabs as far as I recall, a little harder to read than the standard, but I just wanted to show how to completely replace all elements 😁🤘 In my personal experience having used them for a while I'm actually finding a mix of Racelabs and default ACC huds to be best
@@Harto1 Yep, i just added the fuel calc and relatives for now, the rest seem to either repeat or be of little value to replace the ACC defaults. Obviously there's nothing for tires and weather now so that one has to stay.
Is there a way for these overlays to continue to work over replays. E.g I like recording a different angle than I race so I playback the overlay and change the driving angle. However I can't see the laptime so I would like overlay to show the laptimes in replay. Is this possible?
Hey Manraj! Not that I'm aware of buddy no, you could try add the overlay as a separate source within OBS and record it separate to the replay then match it back together, but it would be a bit of work 😅
Hey Aimar, not sure buddy 😅 You've disabled full screen within ACC also? It should show, maybe double check the file values within the ACC source files as specified in the video to double check the values are correct. Perhaps might be worth looking within the support tab on your racelab instalation to see if there's any specific troubleshooting steps 😁🤘
@@Harto1 Sorted out! Turns out I needed to leave "9000" and the default conection password in the broadcasting file. Not sure if in your case it's working like that. Thanks for the reply anyway!
Hey dude 😁 yes they should be, have you disabled full screen mode in ACC? Also have you changed the broadcasting.json file? If you've recently updated ACC they might need to be changed again 🤘😁
Hey Michael! Appreciate you checking out the video! It may be worth reaching out to Racelabs support, just ensure you're not in fullscreen mode also. As there's been a few updates in ACC since this video maybe something has changed
Hey sir thanks for video and guide! ❤ But i have a question. I need a overlay were i can see other drivers ranking points/SA... if you know what i mean ?
Hey dude thanks for watching! Yes I know exactly what you mean, but I am unsure whether this function is available for ACC, I know Racelabs have it on their iRacing overlays, but I would recommend checking out their Discord and asking in there dude :) As it may have been updated since
Hey dude! Im not entirely sure on that one, I’d say best to check the support tab within the Racelab app itself to see. Sorry I can’t be more assistance on that one
@@Harto1 No worries at all. Even in beta it works great. Hopefully they can figure out how to get around the 9001 and password issues. Thanks for the quick response.
