I found that a whiteboard & dry-erase marker helps for writing complex taxi instructions (along as you don't wipe them out with your elbow), or a sticky note / Notepad (text editor) that you can have open you your desktop (especially if you have another screen); but for this make sure that you have the settigns to either have you Sim settings so you can still hear the soudn when you switch focus forom the FS to your notepad/stickys.
Hello, I wanted to suggest you a possible subject for a future video: guide for flying in countries that have different standards. For example, in the US the altimeter is set in inches of Hg, while in the EU we have millibar. In the US FL180 is the standard transition level, while in Europe it changes from zone to zone. In Europe we say 125 decimal 6, while in the US they say 125 point 6... In China they use meters instead of feet. I learnt these things only recently by making mistakes online, and I think that many beginners who watch your videos for guidance may be interested in a video that talks about these differences. Also it would be interesting to know how to set the QNH directly in millibar instead of converting it manually from Hg inches. Greetings.
love you keep it up i have been watching you for 2 months i know not enough to know you but i love you keep it up man and btw when someone searches p3d or something like that you always come up
Actually taxiways aren't always called a letter. As an example in Zürich(LSZH) there is a taxiway called "INNER" -guess this was very confusing to me, because I normaly get my taxi instructions and than look them up on the charts. Althoug I tryed three times to understand which taxiway the controller kept very polite and repeated it all the time and I finally replied with "Taxi via I, ..." I think at this point he just thought 'well sooner or later he will look it up, so I is near inner' (though there isn't a tw I)
Captain, Im watching your video tutorials and Im learning a lot! My question is, what brakes should be used on the ground while taxing? Parking brakes?
No, you brake aircraft using the top of the rudder pedals. In flightsim you can set an axis for that or set a keyboard key or joystick button to activate brakes.
@@AviationPro Yes I seach for it, they said it is Toe Brakes, Im using XP11, I assigned a key for the "Toe brakes" control but it seems no effect to the aircraft.
Thanks Robert! Probably not for those ratings specifically, since I'm not an ATO, but topics similar to those covered in those ratings will likely follow in the future :)
Hi. I thoroughly enjoy your videos. So I was flying my simbrief/Vatsim trip from Gatwick to Brussels runway ILS 19 as filed. Ebbr tower gives me clearance for runway 25L. So I ended up disconnecting since I couldn’t figure out how make this change on the fmc. Very frustrating particularly since I waited over 30 minutes in Gatwick receive my clearance. Poor atc guy was overwhelmed but managed well Anyway, can you share some wisdom with me please
Thank you! You can simply select a new approach and it will replace the new one. Try to fly the route offline a couple of times and while you are cruising try to change the approach. That way you can be prepared for such scenario in the future :)
Thanks! Make sure you write down as much information as you can already. All you really don't know is the squawk code, but the rest you can plan ahead based on the active departure runway and the first waypoint on your flight plan.
Have to actually comment and say love the videos, i feel a little more prepared about getting into vatsim now. However i do have a question, what is the name of the app you are using in your videos to show charts, stars, and approaches etc? i have been looking for such convience for a long time now lol?
Another quality video, what are your views on jet blast, taxing close to very large aircraft even An225,assuming there is one in your airport, right seat taxi and taxiing in wet or icy taxiways? Thank you
Thanks! I wish all of that could be properly simulated, that would be nice! Icy taxiways in runways in particular, a good ground friction model would be nice...
Any tips on writing taxi info while in VR? I’ve tried practicing using the notepad (Avitab) but I find it very difficult to be accurate AND enter it quickly.
@@MoizAsad Try using 7-zip it's free. Some freeware do not have installers so you have to put the files in the correct locations. An example would be to put freeware aircraft C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes (windows 10)

AviationPro thank you so much.
I've recently flown a lot of VATSIM and brushed up my radio talk because of you!
Glad to hear that! :)
Great video really useful. Post landing taxi I the most stressful thing on VATSIM!
2nd again XDXDXD Love the series dude keep it up. M gonna become a pro VATSIM pilot soon XD
Thanks! :D

Does tower ever provide taxi instructions? Wondering how it works at airports with a tower frequency but no frequency for ground.
In that case tower takes over the duties from ground
@@AviationPro Ok, thanks... wasn't sure how that worked.

I don't use VR I'm afraid!

@@pmadsea077 Still use the VR? Did you find a solution? I was thinking of getting VR myself while I slowly put together real panels in the shed.
I am an FSX:SE flyer. Could you recommend and link any website from which I can download good freeware airport sceneries?

Can you do tutorial to shaders and re shaders(sorry if there is mistake) and for some good addons.???
Can't really do a tutorial on that. I'm just using PTA with random presets from REX SkyForce 3D :)
Yes, no problem😉👍 and am i right that you record video about it or? (I think that i alredy saw the video like that in this chanel)
Can you make a video about PDC's on Vatsim?
It will need some more widespread implementation first :)
From Where did u got the things attached to the saitek throttles ?
They were kindly gifted, but they are from CockpitSimParts.
Where do you get your airport charts from?
They are from Navigraph. Here's a video with more details on getting free charts: th-cam.com/video/7HqWNxnNl_A/w-d-xo.html

Slowing down and using a pointer on the charts would benefit the viewer. It's like you are speaking to impress, not teach.
Why tf does "tower" talk so damn fast and so mumbling 👀
