    12:00 and then another spin on departure phraseology is that in Australia, in real life and as modelled by Australian VAT-ATC there is specific terminology required.
    When on departure you must state “-Callsign- passing ####ft via the *** SID for ####ft” and when you are given further climb instructions you state “Climb via the *** SID to ####ft -Callsign-“ And Same goes for descent

    You seem to be reading my mind Evert! Just today i was doing a flight with various issues, aircraft was not listening to me (or rather - i wasnt fully aware what diffefent altitude change modes do) and this video made me fill that gap perfectly! Now i know the difference and how to use the level change, vertical speed and alt intervention, this is golden! Know that we appreciate what you do very much!

      @@AviationPro i have to say - i am ongoing S2 controller training on VATSIM, but i though i will never see "the other side" - actually fly on the simulator, because i just didnt know / couldnt fly a 737. Your videos are the only reason that i learned and now have done a few successful flights, from cold&darkin A to cold&dark in B. A whole new world opened in front of me and i'm loving it! :) and it's mostly your doing, so thank you for that from the bottom of my heart

    Hey this video is great but I have a question actually that has stumped me when flying these charts. How will you know what bank angle to use on each turn and my other question is how do you know what vertical speed to use or ascent rate something along those lines throughout the whole chart. I fly both NG and C172 and I find it hard to look at SID charts and no recognise what correct ascent rate I should use at both quiet and busy airports
    I look forward and excited to hear your professional reply

    Superb video ... this really helped me understand how to use the different modes, something I was struggling with. One question ... I understand advancing the throttles on takeoff, but once TO/GA is active and the auto throttle takes over ... what position do you leave the manual throttles? Obviously in real world the auto throttle moves them but for our Saitek where to position them?

    • @AviationPro
      @AviationPro  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're welcome Chris, glad you enjoyed it! At that point the manual position of the Saitek throttle doesn't really matter anymore, but I usually advance them all the way foreward and when I need to reject takeoff I can easily pull them back quickly or when I for some reason need to take over manually while in the air it's easier to have them in the full forward position where they would be in the real world aircraft.

    Hey, I've seen you have begun your journey to the cockpit. I also have. I was wondering if there are any tips you could give me for my upcoming group assessment? All the best and good luck. Hope to share the skies with you one day.

    • @AviationPro
      @AviationPro  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct! Group assignment as in the psychological test? Well, take the lead a little bit, but know when to back off. It helps if you are the one with a watch so you can time and organize the assignment. Also ask questions to your group members to see if they agree with any plans you’re making, and don’t be afraid to challenge any plans made a bit so you can show your assertiveness :)

    What does 'radar contact' mean? After departure, if there is a failure in packs or air conditioning, then would you have to divert, or what?

    • @carlosvillacanas951
      @carlosvillacanas951 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Radar contact is that atc sees you in the screen and in case of failure you go to the nearest airport

      means they have you on their radar and know where you are, in case of failure contact ATC and inform them

    • @piotrkuler2474
      @piotrkuler2474 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      When comes to failures, always taje Your time to asses the problem. If You have any memory items to perform
      Then when You are abkve safe altitude check the qrh and see if You need to divert or maybe You can continue You flight. It's all decision making.

    • @AviationPro
      @AviationPro  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don’t really have an issue with that, it’s more the yoke itself that’s not really smooth around the center
